My problem is when there are multiple commanders on the map.
and in the mess of the fight, two groups might join together…and after the fight i often end up following the other commander by mistake (I check my mini-map for commander’s movement).
If commanders themselves could change the tag colour…that would be great.
So when multiple group merged in the field temporary, I know I am following the yellow tag or the blue tag.
I provided a solution a while back…give it a try, hopefully it help.

This solution was originally based on my trial and error…and there are occasions where you will see CMVCompiler running and no cookied…and there are occasions where only cookied is running.
When I wrote my method, I didn’t specifically mention these two cases, as you need to (force) quit these processes anyways to ensure the next launch is clean.
As of now, I have not experienced any cases where TP does not work after a clean launch (quitting the process). In fact, it became a habit for me to check for these processes right before launching GW2.
I also didn’t experience any ill effects upon quitting the processes, but I cannot guarantee that there is absolutely no ill effect. As I don’t know precisely what these progress do…it could potentially corrupt your file access rights, or screw up some internal settings…I don’t know.
All I can say is, I have not experienced any troubles yet…
cheers~

I can make it go unstable, but a simple walk to a less crowded area and tab out/tab in will fix it…

Hopefully it helps…
Hi all,
I started playing this game a month ago, and I started to experience the Trading Post ever since then. I have Mac 2013, so I was confident that my hardware and software is compliance. However, after researching online, I realized that there really isn’t any solution for this issue! So I put some of my IT skills into action… =D
The reason trading post don’t start is because Mac user didn’t shut down the system, and Guild War 2’s processes remained running in the back ground from last session.
I used the “Activity Monitor” that came with my Mac and noticed the following processes get launched upon running the game…
– wineserver
– CVMCompiler
– cookied
– (two instances of) Guild Wars 2
Based on observation, cookied is a process triggered by CVMCompiler. When you quit the game, there are two processes that hang which causes your next launch to have failing Trading Post issue. CVMCompiler and cookied, these two services tend to hang after you close the game.
WARNING: Please exercise the following carefully. Ending the wrong process may cause your system to behave unexpectedly, and may experience data lose. This is simply sharing methods, I do not hold any responsibility for any consequences that you will experience.
To fix this, simply “end” the process.
To end the process, select the process in Activity Monitor; then select “Quit Process”; then on the confirmation pop up, select “Quit”.
If the process remain, try again, but select “Force Quit” instead of Quit.
Once you see the process disappear from the list, then you are done!
Launch GW2 and TP works now!
I have been doing this for the past 2 weeks already, and every time I experienced the trading post issue, I exit the game and end the processes…and it worked~
Level 80 in 24 hrs of play easily with boost’s. Only annoyance is having to upgrade gear so often.
