So I just wanted to give my Feedback as well. That’s kind of a huge part of all this.
I only got arround to play within the first 2 hour block.
- First, the Revenant skills look fantastic and the swapping of the legendaries is huge fun. The damage could have been better as it realy seemed like a normal hyena took forever to take down. I mean we defeated a dragon of Mordremoth single handedly and now are struggling against a hyena in Silver Wastes. Furthermore the big impact of those beautiful hammer skills was severely underwhelming.
- Secondly, the story aspect. I like how you were able to immediatly decide what to do. But Kasmeer is stuck behind Bran, which looks terrible. Please align them better. Furthermore, after you finished the first quest and you need to hold out about 3 Minutes or so, please set the NPCs so they don’t charge the enemies.. It looks really silly if the Asura is casually talking to the other NPCs while he is charging a horde of mordremoth minions. The resque mission itself was fun and the boss fight was nice as well and I found it satisfying.
- Verdant Brink looked pretty good but please let us explore some more without the constant grinding of events. This was a fun concept in Dry Top and Silverwastes but it gets repetitive now. Those places need exploring aspects, not just running after a event chain that repeats itself each hour or so. maybe set in a phase where everything is quiet?
- I liked the enemy variety. Especially the small mushrooms looked fun.
- Lastly, the masteries seemed somewhat confusing. Maybe force the choice of one upon the player. I ran arround without havin chosen one as I did not see the checkmark in the beginning. (yes, silly me but maybe a little UI fix would help.
-Bugs: All the ones I noticed got already mentioned in the forum, so I wont repeat them
So thats about it. Maybe I missed something, but I guess it won’t be the last Beta.

Rapid Fire has a 10 second cooldown for
Damage Damage (10x): 1,320 (3.75)
Vulnerability: 10 Vulnerability for 10 s
-20% Quick draw = 8s recharge
-66% on weapon swap = 2.64s recharge
with a cast time of 2.5s this means in 5 seconds you are constantly using rapid fire. given that you even hit stealthed targets like you were using an aimbot and from far away. this is ridiculous.
(beware, short calculations and may lack information, please enlighten me if i forgot something)
Why is there no statement about that change? Why did they thought it’s a thing? It basically scraps 2 classes from the PvP game. Did they even test this? So Rangers have even more facerolling without the threat of a thief jumping on them? Why exactly did they name the class thief if it can’t do kitten? Ever seen what happens to a thief if he runs into a foght and stays there?…
ah, so another component of the ranking that makes no sense.
so who ensures me that it has no affect on the ranking points then? I have 32 wins 32 points. coincidence? why not make an ELO system?
very interesting. this reminds me of FIFA with all it’s dubiosities.
Please care for an appropriate ranking that represents what the player is doing. It seems very lackluster, especially if it is your plan to get into the esport market…
So if I’m not totally mistaking the 2 4v5 losses I had today also counted towards the win/loss ratio. I thought it wouldn’t affect the ranking?

And you seem to have never organized an event if you don’t know how the ratio of organized and random people is on a SW map and you seem not to know the effect of random commanders..
Also you seem to suggest that we had millions of people in TS, which logically wasn’t the case.
But hey, maybe someone of Anet sees it and has an idea to fix it. At least they know of the problem. And yes it is one.I do not care for commanders on random maps. But on eventmaps with big events it is not an optimal thing.
Would it be reasonable for someone to ask you to stop using a paticular mini? Or maybe a certain weapon skin? Or title? A commander tag is essentially the same thing…
True I have not organized an event, but I have been part of many. If it was organized, even with a bunch of randoms on the map, someone should at least be announcing in map chat the TS and encouraging people to get on, or to follow a commander and follow squad chat. So if even 1/4 of the people on the map were doing so, randoms or otherwise, the presence of a few extra commanders wouldn’t make that much of a difference.
Haha you made my evening. Thank you. Yes, I can see it now, titles and minis and armor, they are on the map, everywhere. This is totally gonna be a feature in HoT.
It was announced, they were informed, they responded as the example some posts ago stated. The comments weren’t aggressive, we tried different languages and so on and so forth. Should I write everything down for you in a book, every single thing that happened? Wait, I’m gonna get the chat log from the Durmand Priory archives.

they have no obligation to care, you don’t get to call dibs on an entire shard.
your commander isn’t any more real than the other 4, your fun doesn’t take priority over theirs, and lastly, the zone doesn’t belong to you just because you are “organized”.
Well, that’s just, like, your opinion man.
No for real. I know that the map does not belong to anyone (which is a flaw in the game when you want to set up big and organized events) but if you can’t expect some decency out of people, then why try to organize something for a community?

Maxwell: Well it’s not really a guild TS but more of a community TS.
I don’t think they were out targeting anyone. Just out for “mischief”.
Well pdavis. Have you ever been on a map with one commander. Everyone runs behind the commander completly brainless like lemmings (we’ve all done so I guess once in our GW2 career). That’s just the normal effect of a commander. So every random who was not on TS, and there are always a lot as it’s hard to get a complete empty map, knows where to go when there are 4 different colored commanders at the same-collored keeps.
Now you put 3 more blue commanders on the map in about the same region but not in the keep itself and it just gets messy, for example when a legendary spawns that you want to pull under the gate to use the siege equipment to kill it quickly. Sure you can join the squad but only the people in TS do.
Also, as it is with the bosses, for example aoe on the red boss, they are so easily and willingly disturbed. You really can expect from commanders that have spent 300g on a tag, know each other, have been advised that it is an organized map and are still responding provokingly to just want to see things crash and burn.

So there were 4 commanders at blue, only one was ours. The “extra” indigo commander ran arround and bursted the bubbles? The players had about 11k APs and knew each other. We told them it was organized. They did not care one bit.
Surely not trolls…
and I don’t mean the mordrem bosses!
So how can one report those?
The events are organized every night with TS and time and effort is put into it just to have it ruined by some kittens?
Never had this before but all of a sudden there are about 4 extra commanders that are just there to troll, distracting the people from the actual commander, exploding the bubbles at indigo too early etc.
I have the names but I can’t write them here and well, you can’t report for trolling.
But for the self-proclaimed “nicest” community of any MMO one should be able to do something about those kittens.
Please fix your game…
It is incredibly annoying to have to deal with all this non-sense over and over again. Just get rid of those Achievements, it seems one is unable to do them correctly anyway… (maybe testing would be a wise choice?)
Last week, achievements were broken:
On Swift Wings: Well nothing to add, you should have read enough complaints…
Butterflies and Viscera: Didn’t work for me. Lost no Minion and after the boss fight the achievement was still over my skillbar. No chest even after the instance ended…
This week:
The pathing of the NPCs is just horrible. Foefire cleansing Rox and the other Charr randomly walk off back to the start before the boss fight dialogue. Huge annoyance if you go for the achievements and have to do this over again..
Waypoint Conundrum: Ok, complaining about the long and dumb dialogue with Taimi’s queeky voice (why o why) shouldn’t fit here. But maaaaaaan…
Then going for the No Survivors Left achievement. 2 traps left. One with 2 Earth elementals. Killing the normal one and suddenly realizing that the veteran one sunk into the ground. It can still constantly attack me but has unlimited regeneration so killing it is just impossible. This is just insanity! So many bugs..
And not even counting the game-breaking ones at patch-release…
Well here I am, getting the Butterflies and Viscera Achievement, or so I thought.
Bursting that kitten Mordrem Thrasher down in one phase with my thief. Hey I got this. Hmm, no chest yet, the boss dead, the yellow achievment description still over my skillbar.
One bone fiend still walking despite no boss / mobs being arround anymore. It walks, explodes where the boss should be. Well it seems like bad design. Still no chest.
Last talk with the two ladies, instance over, still no chest. Say what?
Just one of the “minor” inconveniences with the instances…
I’m sure a designer at Arenanet worked kitten it, but I find no good in this piece of the Living story(while I really love the rest).
It’s the worst jumping puzzle I’ve encountered in Guild Wars 2.
Could the philosophy of jumping puzzle go back to “fun” instead of “Let’s rip open a packet of spaghetti and make a jumping-puzzle of what is coming out of it!”?Some bars in a jumping puzzle are okay, but this terrible assortment of bamboo is not fun anymore.

Even the start of this thing is a design-flaw in itself. If you slip down at the start and fall under the pile of bamboo, you most likely get stuck in a mace of invisible collisions you have to leave somehow.So, feedback in short:
No more zephyr-stile jumping puzzles, they are annoying, have crossed the boring-border long ago and are no fun at all.
Totally agree with you. Jumping puzzles need to be fun. This one is borderline anoying the crap out of me. I’ve every JP-Achievement and the Clocktower was an enjoyment to do over and over again. But the Zephyr’s Ascent is BULLkitten. The poles react different every time. You slip and slide all the time. You can’t plan properly and when you fall you get stuck in the spaghetties. If I want all of the above, I go and play Mikado…
Whoever developed this one. Please try out your stuff beforehand…

I’ve won five times now and only got greens and blues (ok, two rares but wow that’s the difference..). Why should I even bother with it in the future? I’m already making a complete fool out of myself right now by repeating it…
Any ideas on how to deal with minion master necros in a 1v1? :S
Hate to play against them and it’s kinda ruining my game experience. I’m comfortable dealing with – and sometimes losing to
– all other classes.
Wonder how you deal with them.

I’m getting sick of all the thieves nerves. Being a Thief since the start it’s like, oh this got nerved, that got nerved, this got nerved, well that viable trait got nerved. C’mon. Learn to play and don’t complain, there are a lot of more powerful classes than thieves… Ever run against a MM-Necro, good luck…
And the stealth stomp can easily been broke with fear or any other interrupt. We thieves have no stability….
well some got minis and exo weapons out of it (one an ascended chest) but most of the people just got greens and blues (like myself). and after such a coordinated fight with 120+ people in teamspeak you kind of feel like a complete fool. the more as the chest only drops once a day…
but hey, lets farm Scarlets Minions and get multiple times the goods for mindlessly bashing Aetherblade Champions or more gold by speedrunning fz or ac…
