Hello, my (Support Ticket 1155942) was submitted 8 days ago RE: Guild Wars 1 acct. Full explanation is there with my guildie’s ID that he has also submitted. My guildie had both his GW1 & 2 accounts hacked. He tried to reset his Gw2 pass & was locked out because the hacker enabled cell auth. since the acct is synced, it successfully reset his GW1 PW, he got on for a short time (before the hacker would get notification). My guildie asked me if I could hold the remaining items left on his acct (3 storage tabs). we both got banned at the same time after the transfers. I understand that there is a huge backup, It would be nice to have my account restored in time for GW1 Canthan New year this weekend. Thanks in advance.

Is there a fix in the works for this event?

This dynamic event in Brisban Wildlands/Toxal Bog is constantly getting bugged near the end dialogue.
as written on wiki- Bug:
If U.N.I.T skips the Inquest Assistant and the Mark II Golem and enters through the north door into the final room, and instead engages inquest inside the final room and enters though the east door, it proceeds to clear the room and free Wistt from his cell, but stays in combat mode as if the room is still not cleared, causing the event to not proceed to the final dialogue and progress to its final phase.

I actually agree with you on what you said, I think the once a lifetime restore on 1 account is very fair. As for a guild bank that is more vulnerable to attacks due to the amounts of people in a guild, I would think that a fair limit for a restore point would be either once in a guilds lifetime or once in a calander year per guild, Providing proof & a support ticket is made within a certain time frame in conjunction with proof of a guild members compromise.

Thankyou for the feedback. Truthfully this saddens me. I don’t understand how a compromised account can be restored, but the entire guilds hard work can be dismissed because of it. So where does the 300-400 gold worth of exotics we lost go? into the economy for everyone else? i dont see that being to fair, i mean even if half of the items were replaced we would be happy with that.

Also i know that our senior member does not have the same passwords for the game and email, but what the hacker did was login to the GW2 website and enabled mobile authentication, because our guildie when trying to reset the pass, it says to enter the mobile code.. which he does not have!

Personally think the beta mobile authenicator isnt as safe as email authentication.
I have strongly advised all my members in the past to UNCHECK the ’remember this location" when verifying the login emails and also SYNC your email to your cellphone, so that you get notifications everytime, even if your not at your PC. as well as logging into the GW2 site and disabling any IP connections that are approved.

With the snapshot recovery of compromised accounts, Do you also restore the Guildbanks items that were taken?? We had a senior guild member that natuarally had Guild Bank access, but his account was compromised the other day and the hackers completelty wiped out our guild storages. Can anything be done about this?? we have taken screenshots of the guildbank logs to show everything that was taken and the member is also in process of trying to get his acct bank with support.

The Asura Portal On top of Vigil Keep Waypoint, In not accessible. When you speak to the Vigil Asura Gate Guard he says “This area is under construction. Check back later”. (Im assuming it is bugged) The only way to continue is to Physically run all the way down to Mount Maelstrom.

Yea still Bugged, been like that quite awhile now.

Both Skill Challenges In Gendarran Fields are bugged, Defeat Warmaster Yulia and Klakka the Brainy Pirate. The Orange circle appears as if it is active But there is No NPC there to fight or commune to, in order to have 100% completion of that map.
