should I get gear/upgrades the same as my traits, or should I increase other attributes instead to make up for them?
So, if my traits give me power and condition duration should I choose armor that adds to these or that add to something like vitality – to be more all-rounded?

PVP is the aspect I enjoy most about mmos. But I have to say, unless I am missing something, I am finding PVP in this game just well, unsatisfying. And I wish I wasn’t.

Maybe it’s the way everyone’s at level 80…. maybe it’s the zones themselves. I dunno.

I really like the game but I thought the pvp would be better than other games and well, it’s not (esp after hearing how pvp in gw1 was apparently so good).

This is interesting. They need to let us know that a password can’t be used though.
What are the chances of getting this message and then tying that up with the account’s email address? Small I guess, but it still seems like it’s giving away too much information. Not that I have any suggestions how to avoid this though.

Never had any problems – no latency, fps or other problems. But in the last few days the game has crashed to desktop a few times. Then I get a “Tell Anet about the problem?” window. Could it be server/connection?

Wallah is an arab word that means “I swear to god”. Voila is French, and the correct word to use in the OP’s message.

I actually have the most fun just exploring, doing events and poking my nose into every corner of the world just to see what I’ll find. One of the most satisfying experiences I ever had in the game was doing the Loreclaw Expanse JP and seeing another guy a little distance ahead of me. He obviously didn’t know I was there, and I lost track of him for a while, but I later caught up with him when he was downed by the Veteran at the end. I helped him up, we took down the boss together, then both of us opened the chest, waved/bowed to each other, and went our separate ways. All without ever saying a word to each other.

Reminds me of my childhood days at the arcade where 2 random kids, total strangers to each other, would pound dozens of coins into the machine to take down Death Adder, then smile at each other as the credits rolled before heading off to another machine.

Some people missing the point here. Everyone agrees it’s a bad thing to do. But, guild access to guild banks are essentially private agreements between guilds and their members.

It is not good to get your guild bank stripped by some kitten member, but it really has nothing to do with anet.

But no one is saying it’s good!!! Some people are having trouble separating good/bad and anet..,

I would expect some sort of group finder to be standard content for an mmo that has instances like gw2. And i don’t mean the less than fit-for-purpose Y-button thing that is currently provided.

OK I know I am a bozo but can some explain how gw2lfg works? its all server in a region so how can I find people on my server? Or, can you do a dungeon with people from other servers too – but if so how do you party-up??
All this new-fangled gadgetry is a little beyond me!

hi there I have done 6 out of 5 daily quests and no reward (the quests are all listed on my screen still, but all at 100%)

saw a bug thread about this too but that was closed as Anet replied saying it was fixed???

Wrong statue, it works with statues outside.
The Grenth statue in Lornar’s Pass definitely works. The buff lasts for around 9 minutes but it will also overwrite any food buff you have. The Dwayna statue in Harathi Hinterlands is used to start an event in the adjacent room. There is a door in Queensdale that you can /threaten to open.

I heard you can kneel in front of statues and stuff to get buffs? I knelt in front of the statue of Dwayna in Divinity’s Reach but nothing happened. Is this the wrong sort of statue or am I doing something wrong (not unusual)?

Can someone please confirm whether on not the training manuals should disappear from my inventory when used??? I think I used one but there it is still in my inventory.

If they are meant to get used up and go from inventory then there is bug.

I just got me a level 40 Master’s Training Manual, but when I double-click it nothing happens – or does it? I hear a sound but the manual is not consumed/disappear from inventory. Is this a bug or have I used the manual it just has not disappeared??

Can you get to a dungeon without having visited the area it is in before?

I just turned 30 and want to do AC, my first dungeon. Is there no way of automatically getting a pug? Also, I have not actually been to the area of AC, could I still enter (its marked on my map, that’s all I have not been to zone)?

I just hit 30 and I believe I can now enter dungeons?? How to I use the LFG (Y) to find a group for my first dungeon, with similarly levelled people? I am sorry for the stupid quesion but I am confused

I just can’t get past the last group of pirates. The rate that those seadogs regenerate health is riduculous – esp when my two ‘friends’ in the quest are stopping in weird places and avoiding fights….
Can’t contine personal story until this gets fixed
