But that’s the problem that people here are ignoring. It won’t be more worthwhile. When I look back at the process for getting it, all I get to remember is a thousand hours of unfun mindless grinding.

That’s a problem.

I spoke to my friend about the mad king clock tower. He wanted the slippers but couldn’t do the tower since he found it too hard. I asked him if he would rather simply be able to skip the tower and go right to the chest and get the slippers or would he rather persist and work towards a goal and achieve it. We were on skype and when I asked him this he paused. He knew that even though he wanted those slippers that without the challenge of the clock tower, the slippers were worthless. I stuck with him for 4 hours until he managed to beat the tower. I asked him afterwards if he was happy that he stuck with it, he replied “my fingers hurt” and I laughed my kitten off.

The same can be said for the precursors. Without the difficulty and rarity of obtaining these items, they’re worthless. You wouldn’t even be using the mystic forge to obtain them. You wouldn’t even want to obtain them. Why? because everyone would have one.

That is of course, just my opinion but my opinion is in my opinion the only opinion that matters. How many times can I say opinion?

Cheer up mate. It’s just a weapon skin. Better luck in the future. When you finally do get your desired non compulsory weapon skin it will just make it more worthwhile since you put so much of you effort into getting it.

It worked for me! Thank you. I probably wouldn’t have deleted any of my mail and it never would have turned up. Got the mats now people.

I had a problem too >< I just concluded that if you have a full inbox, you lose mail from ppl who send you stuff. But I could be wrong

So maybe deleting some older mail would make room for it?

I hadn’t cleaned out my mail or anything. And yes we’re both on the same server. In fact we’re both standing right next to each other at the jewelry station.

I didn’t really know where to post this so I just posted it here.

A guild mate sent me some mats to make him some trinkets. I have 400 jewelry so I was going to make them and save him a pretty penny. He sent them and they have yet to turn up in my mail. It’s been about 10 minutes and that’s a pretty long time so it’s either been sent to someone else or it’s lost somewhere in thin air or something. Right now it pretty much looks like i’ve taken them or something and that’s pretty bad for a mans reputation so I was wondering if anyone from anet could help out or point me in the right direction to ask for help.

It will probably turn up unless it was sent to the wrong person but it still isn’t a good situation for either parties(myself and my guild mate) to be in.

Any help would be great.

I grouped MK with an legendary wielding Asura and it looked pretty size appropriate. Both sheathed and unsheathed.

I thought it sounded sort of like Brian blessed during the dungeon but I don’t think it was him.

despite all the problems this dungeon has. I loved it. Great fun and I did it many times and even managed to get at least one exotic out of it.

Getting hit by fear and then running off the edge was great fun. Laughs were had by all.

I’m not sure and I don’t think anyone has or ever will try to find out. Still if that is the case then you could be the first! Go ahead and make history.

The rewards aren’t set in stone. Someone got an exotic from the chest according to map chap and I got nothing from the chest while a guild mate of mine got some greens. Do another run and try your luck instead of QQing.

Yeah. Also managed to solo the event. Not much of an accomplishment though really considering most of the time he either didn’t hit me or didn’t do any damage and yet I could hit him from behind walls. A lot of bug fixes are needed.

Although I don’t think this should be a matter of changing existing skins but a matter of adding new skins and different legendary weapons. Of course I’m sure this will all be done in time. Dungeons will be added and with the new dungeons will come dungeon tokens. These tokens will be used to create new gifts and so on.

In the future could we please have legendary weapons that actually look like weapons meant for bringing down ancient dragons and not weapons straight out of sailor moon? Please. Although I will happily swing around a sailor moon wand and kill things, I would also like to swing around a flaming tooth of a dragon(or something like that).

You’re right pal but do remember that the people who QQ on the forums about precursors and legendary skins are the minority of the guild wars 2 users. Most people don’t even touch the forums, either because they aren’t aware of them or because they know that they’re inhabited by dredge who QQ about everything that doesn’t suit them.

In my opinion legendary weapons should be harder to get. I’m certainly in no rush to get one myself. I know that it will take time and I know that it should. There would be nothing legendary about the weapon if some QQing idiot could obtain it.

I tested if it was the same at different heights and it turns out that full size norns also have the same problem. Swords being dragged through the floor and what not.

It took me two attempts. I then spent about half an hour helping some other people get up. Once they got the hang of things they were off to the top like rockets. It really isn’t that hard and no the game shouldn’t get dumbed down just because a few people get stuck at a “difficult” part of the game.

The view from the top is worth the difficulty in my opinion.

I don’t group with people who say things like “Lvl 80 only” or other bs things like that. I did AC exp with a full group of 35-40 and we all did just fine. As a lvl 80 i’ve been with groups of full 80’s in AC exp and we have done far worse than some of the groups I was in at a lower level.

I was in a pug group grinding some asc tears and I invited a lvl 37 who I knew personally who was playing on his alt. He was immediately vote kicked by two of the other group. When I asked them why they did it they replied “no noobs” and so I left the group pretty much then and there.

You’re right to be a little jacked off about all of this but ultimately it is avoidable. Try guild grouping or try starting groups yourself and picking people instead of having them pick you.

10 exotic rifles – charzooka
20 rare mace – one exotic mace
50 rare great swords – Not even an exotic
4 exotic hammers – The colossus

Wasn’t expecting to get it. I didn’t even use a hammer at that time. Best i’ve gotten since was a charzooka. I swear whenever I try to get something decent out of the forge I get nothing but when I just do it halfheartedly I end up getting 335G worth of a weapon.

Congrats both of you. Things like this make the community look less like a steaming pile.

I’d say it is safe to do this trade for both parties. If either side try to scam the other then there is documented proof of it here on the forums and admins will quickly take action. Good luck to you both.

It’s nice to know that I’m playing this game with a bunch of babies who cry when they cant get their way. Seriously. It is an item skin. Just a skin. Nothing changes when you get one of these items. Nothing. You don’t become all powerful or the lord of the universe. You have a weapon skin. It looks slightly different to other weapons. That’s it.

The only thing that adds any value to these skins is the fact that they’re hard to obtain. Those who truly want them will grind for them. You have a week to do so. That is more than enough to get one of these items.

These items aren’t gifts that are being given to you and nor should they be. They are prizes that are rewarded to those who fight for them.

If you want them. You will grind and grind until you claim what you desire. If you don’t want them or you’re too busy crying on the forums that “this game is tooo hard” then get out of the way.

That will be all.
