Is there a pure fire build for Elemental?
What does it do?
Would it work in WvW?
How is for leveling?
I have no idea how to play this profession but I want an alt for my character. I’d love a pure fire character if it’s possible!
1.) Fair enough
2.) They’re all rares, and yeah they’re transmogged
3.) I’d like to be able fight and be a threat 1 v1, not fully a support character not fully a solo pvper. As I am most likely going to be puging most of my pvp experience(Through WvW and this game’s version of battlegrounds.
Is there a good middle of the road build I can use, does a bit of support, stays on the front line and helps kill opponents.
4.) My own research seemed to suggest a specter/shield/hammer build but I’m not sure I wanted other opinions.
How are GS warriors after I finish Map Completion I’ll want to make a Warrior next.
There I’ve admitted it. I look at my Guardian who’s 80, and in the middle of doing the full map completion and I can’t tell if I’m playing him right.
When I’m done with map completion I’d like him to be a PVPer, one that can go toe to toe with anyone and still be a benefit to his team. He’s 0/0/10/30/30, taking:
Purity,
Resolute Healer, Superior Aria, Pure Voice,
Vengeful, Absolute Resolution and Indomitable Courage.
He uses a GS/Hammer
With Shelter as his heal,
Stand Your Ground
Save Yourselves
Hold the Line
and Renewed Focus

What do I need to do? I looked at the pvp thread but so many of those builds don’t have links to them so I don’t understand how to build them.
Any good class alternatives for someone that wants to be pure melee?
Silver in my opinion.
I get that, but I never see my teammates doing that. And we win, so I feel like crap when I have 125, and everyone else is in the 140 range.
I play a greatsword guardian. And everything is wrecking me. I can’t even get close enough to use either of my gap closers.
I went staff for awhile, thought maybe until I learned my class better I should heal a bit. People ran through my wall ability… that was disheartening. Not to mention the heals were negligible. Even the healing breeze ability.
Went Specter/Torch, thieves ruined me. Like ruined me.
So I’m here asking for help. I want to be a melee guardian but I just don’t know how I can without knowing the tells for abilities(To know when to dodge) What should I do?
To add to that. Different bag types do different things be sure to read them and make sure you’re putting what you want in the right bag.
Also the bag has a menu, when you open your inventory there’s a little cog wheel in the upper right hand corner.
Post things you wish you knew when you started playing. So those that come after us will have an easier time.
- I didn’t know “B” wasn’t the only pvp tab. If you go into your Hero tab(H) there’s a PVP tab there as well.
- You only need to go back to your trainer to relearn your traits and expand you character’s trait trees.
- To pick up an item you got from the trading post you need to go to a corresponding trader. They’re noted on your map as golden scales.
-You should complete a zone( All the villagers helped, all the vistas seen, all skill challenges met, and all the waypoints and points of interests found) as you are rewarded for it with both an achievement and items!
- Guild Wars 2 isn’t just about combat leveling, you gain exp from gathering, exploring and crafting.
- You can change the color scheme of your armor by opening your hero tab(hit H) then clicking the eye dropper icon over your head armor slot.
- You can change an items appearance with a transmutation stone.
- Do not gather a high level node with a lower level tool(Axe, sickle or pick). For example if you mine iron with a copper pick, you’ll gain lumps of ruined ore. That’s not a good thing.
- Try to complete your daily achievements for a daily reward even if you don’t meet your personal goal a daily kill or a daily event will still reward you!
