I never have problem with either class mesmers or thief’s. They all seem pretty balanced. Funny how top tournament players dont have issues with either class. I will say stealth is annoying and could use some tweaks but as for making mesmers and thiefs op no. Ive seen the people and how they play in randoms or hoping in a random room and 3/4 of those people are awful. So a good bet is 3/4 of the players commenting in here are also awful. Heres how you kill a mesmer, attack the right one. Its probably the one doing the most moving. Heres how you kill a thief or get them to run away, dont pop all ur CDs in one fight or use some sort of damage mitigation ability. Here is another clue, chances are your crappy build is countered by the most common theif and mesmer build in other words, stop complaining that theifs are OP because you play a glass cannon hunter focused on all long range attacks….

Just got some gems from some saved up power rewards. Anyways, cant open Winters day Presents and im now getting c0000094 error every time. Before that it said it couldnt connect to gw2 server. What the hell is going on?
Edit-Cant access currency exchange either.

I mean the problems are everywhere i get super lag all the time for no reason what so ever, not to mention random DCs. Please put more work into the Mac client I mean u guys havent updated it since october….

First off I just wanted to list some problems I was having to see if any others were, because I didnt see any so far with same issues.

The biggest problem i have is that sometimes towards the end of a PVP match if I die say 100-200 points to a win, I will be stuck at the loading screen. It will just load and then it will start loading the other map and ill be able to see my character again. This happens quite a lot.

The only other problem I am having is random Fps drops or some days my Fps wont go above 30 but other days im at a steady 50 even 60.

Just upgrade to mountain lion. Besides that you can re download the game to any computer from the guild wars 2 site when your logged into your account.

it won’t unless u have a good dedicated graphics card (something apple never equips their computers with) and even there performance would be very bad.

Maybe if were talking about 3 years ago. My mac book can run guild wars just fine and has a Radeon as well as the crappy intel 3000 hd which i assume is the one you were talking about. Runs around 50 fps most times, ive even seen it stay at 60 actually after the lost shores update.

Something which doesn’t get mentioned often enough.

Anet has done something which no other MMO appears to do properly: takes exploiters and botters seriously and ban them. The big trains are completely gone. This is a major achievement.

Even in WoW there are constantly bots in BGs making your team lose, bots farming gold, exploiters everywhere, even at the top of the arena ladders. Blizzard has failed to ban them and continues to allow bots to impact on other players.

So here’s from me:

A kudos to ArenaNet for doing something that is very important for legitimate players, thanks for banning all those bots that plague the MMO and general online gaming world.

This must be your first mmo because Anet isn’t the first and not only that has taken extremely long to do so and there are still many boters. And do research first please because Blizzard has done this for a long time and actually has done a way better job than Anet. You will ALWAYS have bots and gold farmers but WoW controls them a lot better. I only get friend requests now for gold. I haven’t been spammed for gold in a long time.

This must be your first MMO, I played WoW from the end of lich king to shortly after cataclysm and their were bots everyday in the main city of the alliance spelling out stuff. Not to mention the ones actually out in the world grinding I saw. Rift? SWTOR? all way less compared to WoW. As for gw2 i havent seen any but ive been in low level areas or Heart of the Mists.

So sense most seem to disagree with you maybe you should do some research, Blizzard has had and continue to has the worst botting problems.

Since I am on the mac beta client, and only pretty much do PvP, i actually just dont care. Its better than the other alternative mac mmorpg…WoW, and man do i hate wow.

So pretty much similar to yours. I have to admit that I am forced to play on pretty much lowest possible settings except antialiasing which I have enabled. In WvW it’s usually easy 20 fps or around. As for latency and other performance issues never really experienced that so far.

Overally it’s not really perfect but good enough to have fun.

Are you guys sure thats not just your other graphics card? I have the HD 3000 and a radeon installed in my laptop.

This thief saw me come out of stealth by him and immediately went dancing dagger. Im pretty new to the game but, all i had to do was attack him with heartseeker a couple times and he was down. It seems very week from when i started a couple weeks ago.

I am just using some old crappy wireless mouse, works fine on everything else, and I had the same problem when I first started playing about 2 weeks ago, I just kept clicking the only 2 mac beta options for mouse control on and off, since the way they suggest to fix it wasnt working. After about 10 minutes of doing this eventually it started to work. Except my mouse wheel zoom is inverted. But thats hardly a big deal to me.

Im just glad I can play an mmo besides WoW, i hate WoW, or without buying windows 7.

Crap, so they nerfed it 25 percent?
