I’m assuming since you have come out in public and stated this that there is hard evidence (eg credit card receipts or something) that proves that the account was involved in all this. Otherwise this seems to be accusations in public that could be construed as deflammatory and lead to Court action to clear the OP’s name.

Of course, if the OP has been doing these things then he should be banned. Forever. Unless the RMT company is connected with the games company…

If the OP is lying, perhaps a future in writing fiction rather than playing MMO’s?

I’m a bit sad honestly from the reply, but he’s the higher power here so people will believe him no matter what I say.

Hey Chris, thanks for the reply. I’m not going to push this much more as I’m more afraid of you banning my account than getting this issue resolved.
I’ll be 100% honest and say that I’ve never purchased RMT, honestly. If you’re convinced that my account has bought RMT, I’d like you to check a US authorized network I had on my account that I removed 2 days ago, maybe just maybe my account has been compromised.

I appreciate the reply, I don’t appreciate the really broad reply you gave me and it certainly doesn’t solve the main issue, that anyone can ban anyone by buying RMT gold in this persons name. It is a scenario which needs to be covered and addressed, otherwise innocent accounts may get suspended.
I’m not going to pursue this anymore and people are free to believe in whomever they want.

Usually they ban first, and you have to send an email to them about it. Or suspended. This is more of a suspension on your account. This would be a first that Anet sent a warning via email.

This confirms that my account hasnt been hacked and that anyone can get anyone banned by just buying anyone gold from an RMT site. I replied to the e-mail with “Hey, thank you for getting back to me. I have a question tho, if I get the gold sent to me while I’m offline and get banned while I’m offline, how do I report it then? Just please help me out here and try to find some common sense. I’ve had my account since launch and I’m a veteran GW1 player. I have never, ever bought RMT gold and now while I’m an inactive player and barely play the game, why on earth would now be the time to buy some RMT gold? Like just please, please help me out. OP claims he only sees logins from Sweden on his login history (but the account could have been logged into from someone else in Sweden, too). As for that in-game mail, a couple of people pointed it out to him, but he’s not yet said if he actually went to the link in the phishing email.

I thought Anet didn’t send out notices of fraudulent activity or suspension notices via email. I mean, there have been a number of posts over on the “Bug” section from people saying gold disappeared from their accounts, and most of the time, they’ll be people who DID do RMT purchases; none of them ever mentioned any emails from support about the gold being removed (they just noticed the gold was gone in-game).

Also, your screenshot of your UI with the in-game mails show four Black Lion Trading Post delivery mails. Those mails get deleted after you remove the attached items. It’s kind of strange how they’re there, despite you claiming you haven’t used the gem store in 3-5 months (unless you bought items six+ months ago and never took them out of the mails, for some reason). All of those mails, plus the gold mails, really make it look like your account WAS compromised. Or something else.

The gem store items aree mine, I’ve just left them in the mail for the time being.

If you’ve not received even the automated response to your ticket, it may be further evidence that your account and the email associated with it is compromised.

Make sure to read all the Security articles found in the Knowledge Base accessed through the ‘Support’ link above/below, and follow the advice found therein.

If you have received the automated response, you can peruse the Sticky above regarding ‘Delayed or No Response’ to tickets.

I can see any of these scenarios happening, you should not get suspended or banned if you are sent gold from an RMT in the ingame Mail system as long as you don’t except it and you report it right away. There needs to be a system in place that detects whether you have excepted the mail containing the gold if you except the gold then you get banned, and if you get an email containing gold that you didn’t solicit from what ever source and you report the email and not except the gold no ban. I could see how devastating this could be if you are sent unsolicited gold and are accused of buying gold outside of the game, it could happen,

However as the other person said, if someone buys gold they’re usually after wanting to use it, no? I am not buying gold and that is why I haven’t touched the gold in my mail. However I am really concerned about the matter because it seems like ANet can’t see whether you accept something in a mail or not, they see it as it’s on your account as long as it’s in your mailbox as well. That is a huge issue that could be very easy exploitable as Mr. Chemsorly stated earlier.

Until you tell them you think your account has been compromised, they are going to approach the issue as if all the activity is yours. The fact that you say you GOT 300g mailed to your account and yet you do not see any weird activity on your account is indeed VERY weird….

Keep in mind that if someone has hacked your email and account, they could log in, clear the emails and authroized connection list on this site in order to hide all activity from you. Anet would certainly be able to see if someone is logging in from another location, but if you have not directly stated to them (via a ticket YOU open) that you think your account is compromised, they will likely not even look for that.

There is also the possibility someone else is locally logging into your account (from you PC or same network, etc.) and Anet would NEVER be able to tell it was not you. If this turns out to be the case, this is going to be a difficult and possibly painful situation to try and clear up (if it actually can be).

I live alone, someone from my PC or same network is out of the question.
Regarding contacting them with the topic that my account has been compromised might actually be a good idea, I’ll try to do that, thanks!

It could be possible that RMT is sending the gold to you by mistake some how they got the account name wrong could be the same name but the number is one off. Have you excepted the gold sent to you. Leave the gold in the email and contact support again and tell them that this may be the issue I think I read somewhere in the forum that after 3 suspensions it’s a permanent ban and the account is deleted I’m almost certent that this RMT discipline system is automated to a point this need to be looked into ASAP

Yeah it could be. The issue is I’m TRYING to tell them that I’m getting harassed by them but they refuse to help me.. instead they keep going on and on about that they’re 100% sure the ban is justified.. basically copypasta responses.

Hey, I’ve already looked at the recent logins on my account and they’re all from Sweden (where I live).. so nothing is weird there.

I replied to their mail with “Hey! Can this stop? Like seriously. I have never purchased gold from anyone, and this is the second mail I get from you guys.Please check my ACTIVE history, I log in for like 10 seconds everyday for the daily reward and then log off, I AM NOT BUYING GOLD I AM BARELY PLAYING THE GAME. After a second review of this issue, I confirmed that the gold removed from your account came from a RMT Account. This accounts usually use Hacking, Botting and Account Theft to get this gold. This is a clear violation of our User’s Agreement and for that reason we can’t reinstate the Gold.
Please be very careful in the future with these transactions, as future violations of this type may end on a disciplinary process or a permanent suspension of your account.

Basically I am not getting any help what so ever from ANet and I’m hoping I can shine some light on this situation here on the forums which will hopefully bring some attention to the matter as it can be a rather serious one.
This is basically trollers heaven, anyone can purchase RMT to anyone for any amount and that person will get banned, whether you accept the gold or not.. If you’re offline while this is all happening, well you’re kitten out of luck.

TL;DR Anyone can get you banned by buying any amount of RMT gold to your account and you will get banned for it whether you accept the gold or not, even if you’re offline.

I’ll start the thread off with saying I haven’t been an active player for the past 2 years, just recently (about a month or so ago) I’ve been logging on just about every day to receive the daily reward then log off.
Now onto the issue.
About 1 month ago I got a mail from ANet saying

I got very surprised as I don’t play the game at all and have never bought gold or gotten send any significant amount of gold that could seem suspicious.
I replied to the mail with "Yes, I understand but I haven’t bought any gold from anyone.
If you check my played time recently I literally log in and open the daily box and then log off, when on earth would I have time to buy gold?

I got directed here by ArenaNet support as I have the same issue.
I currently have 100% map on all maps etc and I got the title, but no star next to my name and no gift of exploration item.

This is the tips ANet can give:
(1) Some players have found that their inability to attain world completion is tied to the Chantry of Secrets. If you revisit that zone, your exploration for that map will be reset and that may trigger your Map and World Completion achievements and resolve the issue.

(2) If the above does not work, another possible answer to the situation is that you still are missing a single Point of Interest somewhere in the game. Map points are “rounded,” which means that sometimes, even while your World Completion shows 100%, technically you are at something just below 100%. You can check each zone for a missing Point of Interest by opening up the World Map and hovering your mouse over each zone. This will show you the progress your character has made and you should be able to locate the final Point or Points of Interest that you need.

I told them that doesn’t work for me, which they replied with: It seems that other players do have the same problem. Our team will need some time to investigate this situation. As soon as there are news, we are going to publish them in our official forums:

Elementalist main PvE character, got a warrior at 80 with full exotic as well
Played the game since release with the guild Nihilum, hit 80 quite fast (before Kungen and company) can’t remember the exact /age for that.
Sitting on full exotic with 3 different sets, the crafting berserker set, arah set & SE set.
I’m up for WvWing, PvP.. farming dungeons farming legendary bosses whatever that’s fun in the game.

I really hope this happens.

so I basically put up that i wanted to buy 10 vial of powerful blood for X amount, shortly after TP went down for a few days and when it went back up today the money I put up for the vials are gone and I didn’t get any vials.. anything that can be done?
