Did both of these things and unfortunately it still does not give me anything higher than 12fps.

I don’t think its my pcie slot as other games run completely fine. Could it be that only GW2 runs without using all the lanes, and if so how would I check?

Thanks

Specs

r7 260x
i3 2120
8gb 1600mhz ram
asrock h61 mobo
600w corsair psu
kingston 128gb ssd

So I installed GW2 again about three weeks ago, and playing in windowed mode I would sit at around 40fps on medium settings. This was fine for weeks until the other afternoon I decided to plug in a second monitor to my graphics card; the game still ran fine, but the monitor setup didn’t quite work with my desk space so I reverted back to a single monitor setup. Since then however, my fps has dropped to 5-10 on all low settings with sub-sampling. Cannot seem to do anything to fix it.

So far I’ve reinstalled, windows, reinstalled gw2, updated and reinstalled drivers, un-parked cores, changed monitors, toyed with resolutions, deleted appdata, cleaned out my pc – including taking said graphics card and psu apart, removing 100% of dust, reapplied cpu thermal paste – and absolutely nothing seems to make the game playable. Other games such as tomb raider still and LoL still run absolutely fine.

Any help with this issue would be much appreciated as I really want to be up and running for the release of LS S3!

Thanks for reading.

Kholer being skipped has nothing to do with it, and neither should random mobs. This bug is fairly hard to track down, but we are aware of it. If you could, could you either post/message me a more detailed description of what was going on when he bugged out (and the moments leading up to it)? It would help us in perhaps identifying what is wrong.

But as other people have said, this doesn’t always happen. I’ve ran Hodgin’s path maybe 4-6 times and haven’t been able to reproduce the issue on the live game. I can understand the frustration though, and I’m sincerely sorry you’ve run into this bug.

There is also another Hodgins bug that I thought I would mention as this topic has you r attention; if after getting all the scepter pieces, you run toward the howling king through the under tunnels before Hodgins has finished his dialogue, the objective doesnt update and the Howling King doesnt spawn. Never had the bug that the OP posted, but this one has happened a couple of times.

Being efficient in dungeons means less reward?

I am literally running out of words to express how stupid this system is. I can understand wanting to implement DR for people that are repeating the same path over and over. This makes sense. But with the current system, no matter how you try and phrase it, you are penalising skilled players. It isn’t difficult to finish three different paths of a dungeon in under 30 minutes each. It’s the design of the dungeons that makes it possible to finish them this quickly. It’s poor design. It would be even faster if you didn’t give us monotonous auto attack bosses with insane amounts of health; some of them take literally 5-10 minutes of just standing there attacking with the occasional dodge. Seriously, you are destroying end game PvE. I still play dungeons because I enjoy playing with friends. Eventually, most of the community is going to get sick of dungeons and stop doing. The rewards are horrendously under unrewarding, and you make this even worse with the current DR system.

Can we get a word from the devs on soulbound tokens? Also, other rants.

As it has been suggested multiple times on these forums and others, one thing that really bothers me and lots of other people is that fact that dungeon tokens are soulbound. I’d really like to know why they are not account bound; I don’t see why I cant do a dungeon on my guardian to earn tokens for my ranger. I fully understand the notion of not wanting to have dungeon items being tradeable, but at least let me do a dungeon on multiple characters without hindering progress. It also makes it harder to form teams. Although Anet have said that any dungeon can be done with any proffession, it is no secret that some combinations work better than others. A team of 5 ele’s would most likely be less effect than a Guardian+War, 2 Ele+ Mesmer team. If I’m forming and I’d like to make sure my team has a mesmer, but my friend with a mesmer wants a weapon/set of armor on a different character, it lowers the versatility of my team.

Anet wanted the armor/weapon rewards to be a symbol that someone has “mastered” that dungeon, right? Why does it matter what character that’s on. It would also make the non max level gear you get from doing AC/CM actually useful. I’d love to be leveling a character and look forward to the fact that at 60 I can use some really cool looking, powerful gear. As it currently stands, the only use for said items is through transmuting them. This just seems like a waste to me. So, can we get a word from the devs on why they are not soulbound? If they want to keep it that way, fine. But please explain your logic to the community(sorry if they have explained this, didnt find anything).

Other stuff that bothers me. Not really sure where to start with this, but sorry, it’s another dungeon rewards rant. I understand that Anet does not want people doing the same path over and over. That makes complete sense, and I understand the implementation of a system that discourages this. However, this new system of penalising people that finish dungeons in under 30 minutes? You’ve got to be joking. That punishes skilled players. I can finish TA explorable with my team consistantly in 20-23 minutes. The reason for that? We put a lot of hard work into developing tactics for this dungeon, and have got very good at it. We now get penalised because of this. Other dungeons such as AC or HOTW, I dont understand how people can actually take longer than 30 minutes. Dungeons are easy. Sorry to say it, but the people that are complaining that they are far too hard are simply not very good at the game. CoF is still a joke. I’m yet to do CoE, CM, or Arah explorable, but all story modes are a joke, as are AC TA SE HOTW COF explorable. I’m sure that the dungeons I havn’t done yet will also be pretty easy. This isn’t a troll or me just being a kitten, its my honest opinion.

I currently still love to do dungeons because I think the gameplay in GW2 is freaking awesome. But it’s getting harder and harder to form teams, and the lasting appeal of the game to me has been lowered because of the changes that were made.

Is this a new bug? I have killed The Butcher 30+ times and never had a problem.
