The waiting is excruciating enough but I’m more worried about not having access to Herald right away for launch day. Would really like to be gathering hero points now.
The forums finally loaded! Its been over 12 hours since I have been able to reliably log in and play without any errors or lag hangups. That’s 12 hours of a 4 day event that I was unable to participate in (nevermind all the other issues associated with said event). If they were ever thinking about extending this thing, I would strongly suggest doing so as SEA/AU players are getting a raw deal here. It does sound like there may be multiple issues at play with NA also struggling today. I don’t know what’s going on but this is the largest outage I’ve seen since headstart. Consistent 1.5k ping and random crashes is no way to play a game.
If its of any help, I am with TPG in Australia. Please for the love of the six look into this issue, I am 90% certain the Telia ISP is involved and they have been a consistent problem for us.

Yeah people in map chat thought I was crazy when I asked where the little asura was today. But not one of them had eyes on him visually or could spot his icon on the map. He just wasn’t there. This was going on during some intense lag as well, probably unrelated. He was supposed to be at Camp Resolve during this time, double clicking mordrem parts confirmed this but he simply wasn’t there. Didn’t get to check if he moved to the other locations since there was a lot of disconnecting going on through out the day. I wonder where he’s gone off to?
I’ve also had really high and unpredictable lag spikes recently. Today’s was the worst, experienced 3 disconnects and a constant ping over 2000 during a Golem MK II fight. I have no idea where else to post this but here’s my traceroute from today:

EDIT: Should clarify that I am connecting from Australia to the NA server.

I found it very chaotic, largely in a good sense – there’s a lot going on and people working together.
The Rev was impossible to judge straight in at level 80, although I hated the hammer as a weapon and enjoyed mac/axe far, far more. That’s more a playstyle thing though.
Gliding didn’t feel intuitive, but there wasn’t much chance to really test it over a wide area. Probably one of those things that will become more natural with play.
I liked the Wyvern and I loved he didn’t have a timer. He was very much a boss straight out of TSW world though (anyone who remembers Flappy will see some small similarities here).
Yeah fps was a major issue with so many effects – smoke especially. I mainly tried the beta to decide whether my PC needs upgrading and I think this will give encourage me to do so. It should be playable just fine on lower settings though for anyone else with fps issues in effects heavy zones.
Apart from the latter, there was very little negative to take away. There were certainly less bugs than I expected too.
Sums up my own thoughts as well, minus the FPS issues (didn’t seem to have any noticeable lag or framerate loss). Oh, and couldn’t get the mushrooms to work even when equipping the proper mastery. I’m really eager to see more of Verdant Brink and now find going back to my less condition-heavy builds kind of dull. Super excited for the next one. Definitely one of the less stressful stress tests I’ve ever experienced.
I don’t know what is going on lately, I’m used to high lag being in eastern Australia but the last three days have been spent fighting my camera in-game more than enemies. I stick to mostly low-traffic areas, gathering nodes in open world PVE because anything else is too unpredictable. Not sure if this information will be useful to anyone but here’s my trace while idling in Snowden Drifts (home server is Dragonbrand):

First time resorting to the forums here for help, not sure how to clean that up to be more legible. Doubt there’s anything that can be done about it but one more voice in this thread couldn’t hurt.
