Less hostility if it wasn't Maguuma?

Less hostility ? No idea. But for a return to the (whole !) Cantha or Elona I’d gladly pay 100 €.
Anet can’t do a thing until the expansion is released without further hate. Once the expansion is out, they can take the preorder bundles down and replace them with an expansion only package and a full game package containing both. That full bundle at 50, the expansion only at 35-40 and all is well. I’m also a veteran who has prepurchased the game and left at least 200 € in the shop, I sure as hell won’t buy any of the preorder bundles.
Heart of Thorns, new playable Races?

I don’t think we’ll see any before we actually move on to Cantha and Elona. I think Tengu were planned once, after all they have their city area laid out and that is bordering a level 1 and a level 15 area, as it should, but obviously they were canned.
Tengu race is at least plausible. We know where they are, and their domain conveniently has a level 1 and a level 15 area right next to it, so that already almost looks like a plan.
Or it was at one point planned for release and then canned forever, who knows.
I’d buy. Without second thought. I was very much looking forward to the remaining GW Beyond snippets, and was very sad when they got canned.
The only thing you can do for now is turn on “clone wars” by setting character model quality to lowest.
The base problem here is that GW2 is a 32 Bit program and can only use a maximum of 3 GB, even on a 64 Bit OS with truckloads of ram. The amount of textures being loaded with all the different characters is too much for that. So it runs into the 3 GB wall and crashes. Sadly there has never been any response from Anet if we can expect a 64 Bit client in the future, which should fix the problem for good, at least on a 64 Bit OS.
I’d like to chime in here. I have a machine that allows me to run everything fully maxed out too, and I too reliably run into the oom crash. This problem would be much more present if more people had such highend machines. I can reproduce the error 100 %. Just join a mass event like a dragon fight or previously the fight against Scarlet. Once the zerg reaches a critical mass, the client runs into the memory wall. Occasionally it even happens in lions arch, if too many people hang around bank and merchant there. I’d very much like an option to turn culling back on. That would reliably prevent the crash. Though the ultimate solution would be a 64 bit client.
