Thank you. I’ll follow that link and see what else I’ve yet to do. I’ve done every event I can find and have done the metas a lot to no avail.
I am at mastery point level 81 with 3 HoT masteries left to complete. I have 3 available points to spend. I have completed levels in all other masteries but cannot complete any because I only have 3 points to spend. The one requiring the least points to complete is 5 points. I have been stuck here for at least a few days. The exp along bottom is maxed at 3.3 million. It isn’t rolling into 82 and I cannot find any further master points located in the maps for HoT. What am I missing here?

This may or may not have been a fluke. What I did, mainly out of frustration, when defending a camp against several thieves was drop a stealth trap you can now buy in WvW that disables stealth for something like 30 seconds. As soon as one of them popped it, we popped them. I thought it was kinda funny and I like being able to remove that ability from others.
I too have been playing a ranger since early release as well as for every BWE. I love my ranger but I do rotate to other toons/profs depending on what I’m doing. I am almost always in WvW. Zerg surfing is all about leveling up my lower chars unless we’re sucking it. I only do JP’s in WvW with my non-80’s too, especially since they made the siege blueprints account bound.
That is a nice story to hear, especially since I’m on TC too but I didn’t see that while online but I wish I could have been part of that.
I don’t know if this will do it but I’ve heard if you go back to the 1st store in the 1st zone it will sometimes get you that 27.
I’d love to see pixelated Ranger pets, you know, if we’re going to take anything else out of SAB.

I started playing this yesterday morning and before I knew it I had to get dinner for the kids. So much fun. I’d love to see this continued.
So, perhaps this is lame question but what is the last area called? It’s after the rafting. Is that the beginning of world 2 or is it world 1 zone 3 area 2? I would expect the frog boss to signify the end of that world. Either way, I’m LOVING this!
Personally, I prefer the trap build.
Ehh, what makes you think DB and YB are throwing their matches? I might as well go in my thread and say Kaineng is letting TC beat them so TC stays in tier 2. Neither would be true. ><
Actually, that may be happening. That’s the way it feels like in-game at least. Why would any of us want to leave TC behind? They are a great group of players with a great attitude.
I left TC for world completion and didn’t make it back before they started charging to change servers. However, I dislike the server I’m on so much that I’m going to buy gems this weekend to come back home. I cannot wait to finally be back in TC and see my guildies again.
My pets distract the enemy most of the time. Some of those times it also distracts more than one. My problem is that I have to then blow my heal to keep the pets from dying within seconds. This leaves me open waiting for that cooldown once the pet dies. So, either try to time your pet’s inevitable death w a cooldown of your heal or run?
Anyway, my pet does this and even aggro’s enemies when not intended and I’m not quick enough to stow him.
I’ll add to that with this one issue:
I cannot make my pet auto-attack when I enter combat. If he loses aggro on the target I have to tell him to attack again and again and again. This doesn’t seem to work as I would expect. If I tell him to attack he should continue to attack, at least my target. I would think that he should attack the target I tell him without constantly losing that target and when that target dies commence attacking my active target until I tell him otherwise.
I do dislike the pet names disappearing constantly too.
To be fair, I’m only just now researching builds and tactics since I’m now delving into PvP and WvW. I’m just not terribly adept at those fights yet. I take the half damage trait cuz it’s fun to drop off a cliff I just knocked them off of and save most of my health or survive a fall that killed them. While I rarely taunt them when I’ve done this but I have been known to occasionally throw down some sick dance moves on their corpse, but probably only because so many people have done that to me.
Does anyone else think it’s absolutely ridiculous that when you’re running around the world that your unbuffed speed can outrun a wolf or other creature that should normally be able to chase you down in a heartbeat? While your pet wolf running w you can outrun those wild wolves too? Yet, if you’re running from an enemy and your pet takes a hit your speed drops significantly.
Movement speeds seem just a bit off to me. I’m not complaining. I’m just wondering what the thinking is behind this. Yes, I know how to adjust that a bit through my build but default speeds for an Asuran seem faster than a Norn.
I haven’t had much luck killing them in PvP or WvW. What I did find that works to end the fight is taking the trait that halves my fall damage, sticking to ledges and, if attacked, work on getting them between you and ledge (this usually requires lots of dodging). Then, knock them back w LB and jump down after them or continue on your way w/o finishing the fight. I run w traps most of the time and LB while making my way to a point in WvW. I will typically use Sword/Warhorn as 2nd. I frequently change my weapons while in WvW too.
In PvP, I just play what I’m most comfortable and tail my team around the map or jump on the Treb after laying down my traps to slow down anyone hoping to take out the treb.
In the end, I think it’s a LOT about environment awareness and playing what you’re comfortable with. I am always change up pets too in between battles depending on what I’m about to head into.
