It is not only you, that is for sure. Coat has the same horrible red trim and now non-existent dye slot. Anyone who is having this issue, keep checking in. Hopefully that will encourage some sort of response. There has been no word on a fix since this occurred nearly 2 months ago during the beginning of the whole Sky Pirates patch. Giving out a new thread and the old merged one that has all the screenshots and information provided by the players.

Male salad thief out giving this its due. Sane is right. Old thread seems to be ignored or fell into a crevice since the merge despite numerous responses so its about time to start trying to raise some sort of awareness. 2 months of updates is far too long for a cosmetic bug that has effected so many players. Especially with little to no word on potential fixes or a timeline. All those involved have tried work arounds i.e buying the armor again etc but its clear this can only be fixed from the other side.
Bumping the thread. Little info if you could guys? Very frustrating. Finding other armor is a poor solution since that means when it /is/ finally fixed, you’ll just have to go buy the whispers armor again if your stats get transmuted to a new piece. Insult to injury really.
Couldn’t agree with Lantern more. Sneaky characters, sneaky coat, sneaky colors. Lots of really ticked off rogues and thieves. Rudeness isn’t necessary but it has become rather frustrating even to those of us who prefer to patiently wait. Especially the lack of response in regards to the status of the fix. A great deal of players stepped forward with screens, information etc and are there just haven’t been any answers. It gives one the feeling of being ignored and has resulted in the increasing aggression here.
Stop in and say hi Devs. Please? Bottom line is that personally, I’ve played my main a max of 2hrs a week since this issue just to avoid staring at that red trim and I’m sure I’m not alone. Kinda up a creek here. Could use a paddle. By which I mean a dye slot.
Just checking in to keep this thing circulating. A bit discouraged that we have not received any sort of “Its in the works” since this occurred. Not a programmer etc so I don’t know the ins and outs but it seems like a long time with no word for an aesthetic issue that has occurred in the past. Help Anet. A salad that looks like a Christmas tree is terribly painful.
Thought I had the same issue. The bar with the line of chests in the achievement menu is a bit misleading I think. When I opened the first chest, the 500pt one was highlighted more than the others so I assumed that was the one I had just unlocked. The 100pt one was no where on the list, though I now realize that is what I received upon logging in yesterday. Today the 1000pt one is highlighted and the 500pt has disappeared. Had a couple of others assume they were getting the 1000pt reward today. Not a bug. Just confusing.
Transmuted coat OoW medium. Non-transmuted from vendor has the same issue. Hope a fix comes soon. Medium wearing plant rper would like to be able to play their character again.
My thief is not amused to suddenly look like an x-mas tree. Hopefully this gets fixed soon.
Same here. My Sylvari looks like Christmas. Help. I’ve heard a similar bug happened after other patches a while back. I doubt (really hope) it isn’t intentional. Even the vendor armor is showing up with the red and it can’t be changed.
