Once you factor in that the same people running the gem store are the same ones that run/ran Nexon you will understand why the grind is the way it is.

Grind away but don’t fall into the scam of buying gems.

Just to add, another shady business practice is the addition of more crafting ingredients (and other questing items) without adding bank slots for them. Add to that, Anet’s reluctance to comment on if we should keep these things after the event makes things all the more shady, imo.

I don’t think there is any question that the gem store is being completely mishandled. I don’t think I have seen many people come on and defend the gem store. It is about as unattractive as it could possibl be. They offer city skins that make absolutely no sense and aside from a couple of viable things (like extra character slots and extra bank slots), it is littered with money traps like RNG chests.

Usually I spend a little cash to buy things like extra bank slots and character slots but I am holding off on this until I see how things go for a couple more months. If things keep like they are then I won’t be playing too long anyhow.

LVL 50 not good enough for easiest dungeon

To be quite honest, I’m not even totally sure what the difference between story and explorer mode is. There is nothing in game, so far, that I have seen, that tells me what the two are. I know I could go to the wiki and find out but, so far, I’ve found the entire dungeon experience (or lack thereof) to be kind of a turn off.

I’m sure I’ll give it a closer examination at a later date but so far, it’s just seems like a lot less hassle to ignore that entire aspect of the game. I did enjoy the Mad King mini-dungeon so I am interested in seeing what a dungeon is like but it’s been a very unfriendly experience to newbie solo players.

I had the same problem a little while back. I’m mostly a solo player but I id try to get into a group for AC but no one wanted a level (at the time) 45 in their group, especially one that had not already done the dungeon before.

I just hit level 70…this is not sounding too promising for people just getting to end game via, mostly, solo play.

They never fixed it for the Halloween materials either. Just another hustle to push people into buying more inventory and bank space.

It seems like a rather blatant attempt to get everyone to buy more inventory space. I will not be falling for this trick.
