Agony Resist Infusions:
Quoted from the official webpage on “Upcoming changes”: (https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/upcoming-changes-for-the-fractals-of-the-mists/#reward)
“To assist you in your ventures into the mists, a new agony resist infusion slot has been added to all infused rings and backpacks.
All current infused rings and backpacks will start with a +5 agony resist infusion (this replaces the +5 agony resist that was previously on the item itself).
Players will be able to find +1 agony resist infusions commonly in the fractals after level 10.
Artificers of at least 100 skill will be able to combine two infusions of the same level with a Thermocatalytic Reagent to make an infusion of the next level. For example, you could take two +2 infusions, combine them with a Thermocatalytic Reagent, and create a +3 infusion.”
Kinda confused about this: what happens to existing fine infusions? (Mighty/Precise infusions etc) Would suck to see them disappear given the 100 x T6 mats invested into all my accessories.
I would like an invite too
currently at SoR atm
Is it just me, or does anyone out there prefer the horns to be pointing backwards, similar to the elite Charr Hide armor from GW1?

Perhaps I am among the minority, but as a player who spent my first 400 hours in game saving for the Triforge amulet, I am worried all my hard work will be for nothing once these new ascended amulets are introduced. Does anyone feel the same?
You’re not alone. I’ve been waiting (probably in vain) for ANet to announce a way that Exotics can be upgraded to Ascended tier items. The introduction of Ascended items basically kills the Crafting disciplines because there is no way that crafters can make items that are as powerful as Ascended items. Weapons and Armor still have a place in that their skins are still visible and players might buy items just to transmute their appearance, but Jewelers are completely out of luck. Why would you even bother levelling Jeweler to 400 (outside of crafting Legendary Gifts) and amassing crafting materials when you can just save up your Laurels and buy an Ascended ring or amulet instead?
I would like to add on to this. I’ve been rocking the Triforge Amulet and I do feel it deserves a special place in the whole big hooha about Ascended amulets. It does require a huge amount of money and craft to achieve this, and it’s a shame to see it leave BiS because of new content.
ring + 5 vials of condensed essence + 3 Globs of mystic essence + 1 shard of crystallized essence = infused ring
I second this. 15 char
Confirmed.
Ring + 5 vials + 3 Globs + 1 shard = infused ring.
Enjoy! Happy Wintersday
I second this. I really loved my guardian when the shoulders were massive. looks intimidating.
Logged on to find my Citadel of Flame heavy set shoulder piece had shrank. Pictures inside.

I second this. Any explanations as to why this happened? I really loved the huge shoulders.
Have sent a support ticket in game but so far no response.
Cleared CoE third path explorable for the very first time on my character, got 1 miserable token.
Hoping for a refund, this game is too great to be marred by these bugs.
Not just severely broken, but highly frustrating as well. Finished CoE path 3 for the first time, and got ONE token right at the end. Clearly I missed something there.
The run is indeed more challenging now; I admit it will be a tall task for fresh 80s without decent exotic gears, but just to share a few tips to make the run more bearable:
1) Magma field – get everyone to hose down the flames while magg follows. He does not get damage from anything except the flames, not even from mobs. He has been patched to be “distracted” by mobs and will attack them, so what you guys have to do is to hose till you reached the ore thingy, then have one dedicated “hoser” while the rest dps any mobs that followed you. That dedicated “hoser” is to prevent Magg from dying from flames respawning on the ground.
Then kill the mob that distracted Magg, allowing Magg to go to the ore thingy to trigger the next step.
2) Keeping Magg alive during countdown timer – This is tricky, and I’m sure there are tons of ways to do it. What my group did successfully with minimal deaths was to dps the **** out of the FIRST ranged mob before running around like chickens distracting the adds. The rationale is to give some breathing space while the countdown is clocking; we found that it helped tremendously.
However, I do agree that this can only be done by appropriately geared party. In other cases, I would like to hear specific strategies on how to deal with them.
Note: The fireballs raining down during the final boss fight has been significantly buffed in terms of damage, as tested by my group while we were running the dungeon. Take some precautions, and the final pillar is still a piece of cake.
Please share best practices so everyone can learn, and then adapt to play in PUGs so everyone can have their tokens.
Cheers.
