on which drive did you install it?
had to uninstall my gw2 and re-download it and install it where it wanted to go
works great now
Had same .. so uninstalled game and reinstalled it where it wanted to go
the new build could find it then
works great now .. 7 hour download .. needed sleep anyway
I can no longer play game since build update Oct 15
cannot create char as screen goes blank
cannot play former char as game locks up as soon as it goes to a cutscreen which doesn’t show and then leaves me in limbo
cannot exit game and have to hard reboot aka turn off the power and reboot my system
the game worked fine before oct 15 build update
now it just takes up space on my hardrive

ok first the character screen disappeared
then came back after reboot
first quest messed up on second person

directx 11 is backward compatible .. directx 10 was not and you do not see it anymore anywhere
check the forums of your video card manufactures and see what problems are happening … the forum on 327 driver from nvidia went from nothing on release day to 55 pages deep 3 days later complaining about crashes and other effects
windows also does not even test its updates for windows .. seen that on google news .. the September update stopped microsoft office from working .. specifically the update that ends in 430
I do not have problems with running the game
I removed the updates from windows for WINDOWS
I removed my Nvidia driver and install 314.22 and DID NOT install the 3D software from Nvidia … I do not use 3D since I do not have monitors that can handle it nor do I have the glasses to convert the image to 3D
also nice that you did not notice that I had SOLVED my crashing problems BEFORE installing GW2 on my computer

This is what I found
windows update … turn it off
the September 2013 updates sent my computer into fits
uninstalling them back to aug 28 th fixed that
one windows update from september turned off microsoft office (according to news reports at the time .. google it)
turns out they don’t even test them anymore before releasing them .. which is like filling your Aventador with Diesel
Nvidia drivers update
anything after the stable 314.22 works wonky
If your computer is working before windows or driver updates .. you don’t need the update
my system vista 64 sp2 .. i7 920 12GB .. nvidia 560ti twin frozr OC nothing overclocked
