fixed. You have to manually activate the story by going to your hero panel and going to the HoT story. then enabling the story. Why would they make us do that?

I have been trying everything to get my green quest to come up so I can start to play the new HoT. but for the life of me I cannot get the green quest to activate. I have gone into my system settings (because I did have it disabled at one point) and set “content guide” to Default. Nothing happens. wants me to find a vista. no green quests.
I logged in and out. no change. rebooted the whole game. no change. changed areas. went to silverwastes and back out. still no change.
Im not sure if Im missing something here. but ive been waiting to play this for months and I cant even get it to work. On my other characters that do not have HoT story green quest yet, the green quest is working for them. and shows.
Yes i have purchased the HoT expansion. and no im not a complete idiot. I think.

Also. I have done all the security steps and have set up all secure channels through the website. so thats done.

bought the game yesterday from a free account. but barely unlocked anything. still having everything locked in blackmarket and cant send anything by mail. Is there a wait timer? and why? I just payed 50$ for the game. why do I have to wait to use everything? I paid for it so I could? whats going on?
