I’m an asura, and Mr. Fluffywings, my plushy griffon, is not only supercuddly and awesome, but is also as big as me! I could even ride it! Finally I won’t feel cold anymore when exploring Frostgorge sound with him!

In this post from the community operator, when it comes to minipets players can get through dungeons, it says that by the end of the festivity, simply by playing the dungeons, we’ll have more than enough to make any of those minipets. I’d like a clarification on that, so here’s my questions:
1) You mean we’ll have enough mats to make everyone of the 5 dungeon pets, or that we’ll surely have mats to make the one we like best?
2) In case you meant that we’ll have enough mats to craft every mini, can you explain how? Only through the first playthrough on the account we can receive 250 stuffies or 250 glue of choice and 100 cogs (and cogs are account bound, so no trading), so it seems that after the whole 5 dungeons we’ll have, at best 500 stuffies, 750 glue and 500 cogs, and that is enough to make only 2 of the minis. I’m fully aware of the possibility to trade glue and stuffies, and that the gifts gotten from the second playthrough can yeld stuffies and glue, but they are not reliable sources.
I’d like to receive an answer from a staff member if possible.
P.S. Please don’t look down on me for this post, I’m not a disgruntled customer! I’m enjoying the festivity at my best, and I’ve tried every activity so far, liking them all, but I’m an OCD player, sort of, and I like minis!
I happily bought the halloween minis, and I even bought a second set for the chainsaw skeleton, and I’d gladly buy the wintersday minis if they were there, but I wont gamble my christmas money on a RNG! I also agree with the fact that everything that is RNG related should not be bound, since people should be able to sell their surplus, and people with no money to gamble should be able to buy that surplus!
Bottomline: I’ll keep my money till january and invest it in Dragonborn! :P
Well, I was in overflow doing the event (very unepic, since we were so many it lagged like crazy and I personally couldn’t see nor target any enemy), but despite we cleared the cave of all mobs, the 2 bombers kept resetting during the clearing of the cave, and stopped on the ramp when the cave was cleared. This prevented me from completing the event, because, despite the announcements said multihour event, it started at 9 pm where I live, and I couldn’t wait multiple hours to get it fixed. I logged in a while ago but the event is finished and everything lootable from it is gone. Are there any plans to give something to players that had this problem? I contributed to the event as I could!
The phrase shouted by Asura when set on fire, “I’ve been immolated!”, is simply misused and historically and etimologically inaccurate! In ancient Rome, the “Mola Salsa”, from which the term immolation (being sprinkled with mola salsa) comes from, was a mixture of salt, flour and emmer that was sprinkled on the head of the sacrificial victims before the sacrifice took place. The sacrifice itself was usually a blood ritual, in which the victims throat was slit to let the blood flow to the ground (where the underground gods could take their share of the sacrificial banquet), followed by the burning of the more “noble” parts of the animal (fat and interior parts, which make a good amount of smoke and smell) and the cooking and eating, by the participants to the ritual, of the lesser animal parts, like muscles and all other things people can usually buy in a supermarket.
Therefore, as you can see, immolation is very far from the burning of anything.
And, on a side note, this is probably the only thing I don’t like about Asura!
I would like to know as well about the Halloween Events bar.
For the goggles. They don’t last very long, so don’t delay after using them. And be sure to perform a spin/roll type dive on your way down by pressing either the 1 or 2 keys. You get a temporary hotbar change when falling with the goggles equipped.
Lol, I’ve been reading about the fact that goggles make you do funny ju7mps, and have been using them on every occasion, even before the achievement introduction, but I never noticed that! I’ll facepalm myself to death! Thank you friend, you are a lifesaver!
I have 2 questions:
1) I’ve done the scavenger hunt, and got Mad Memories, but in the achievement tab the bar referring to the halloween events played is stuck to 0. What am I missing?
2) I saw there’s an achievement for diving goggles, so I went to LA, run all the way up the diving platform, got the goggles and jumped: the achievement didn’t budge, still 0. Does this mean not every diving goggle count?
I’m in the Provernic Crypt, trying to obtain the last page of the mad king’s story, but I cant access the ghost because there is half of the server doing food battles and costume brawls there! I’m not the only one in this situation, but despite our polite requests to abandon the crypt, nobody cares! I hope Anet does something about it, because those players are ruining halloween to everyone else!
The bug remains. The mailbox should be full at 10/10. This bug prevents the “Full mailbox” tutorial tooltip from appearing, thus blocking an achievement (yes, there’s an achievement for having discovered all the tutorial tooltips).
Playing a lvl 6 Sylvari Ranger in the lvl 1-15 Sylvari area, I completed 5 or 6 Renown Hearts and a couple of events. Then, when I tried to buy something with my karma (a recipe), I realized that I hadn’t any.
So, if you are a Dev, and read this, please fix this bug as soon as you can, because it’s a bit of a progression stopper, and quite annoying.
If you are a player, and read this, beware when doing the low level Sylvari Renown hearts and events, because you could end up without karma.
Well, thank you both! I was really excited about the HI, and seeing no difference between level 1 and 70 demoralized me, but I think I can wait some more to see what they come up with!
Does it ever changes? I visited it at level 10, before doing any relevant piece of personal story, and it was almost empty, with only 10 or so useless generic NPCs. Now I visited it at level 66, after doing my personal story quest up to level 62, and it’s still the same, nothing changed. The official wiki says it should change, with new NPCs, merchants and so on: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Home_instance
I’d like to know your experience, and I wouldn’t mind a word from the Devs on this topic either…
I’m trying to collect minis, so I buy gems and use them on minis packs! I bought 600 gems in the last 2 days, and used them on 2 minis packs, but I haven’t received them! My 600 gems have been deducted from my balance, so now I have 0 gems and no mini pack! It’s very frustrating and disappointing! Is there a way to get those packs I bought, or at least get back the 600 gems that I spent?
