Honestly? I found all that in a thief

Ranged DPS: Showtbow (primary leveling weapon for me from 1-80)

Survive: Stealth resets mobs on too large of pulls. Death Blossom is a built in bleed + Evasion, Caltrops on roll + Shortbow range. etc etc. VERY flexible in that regard.

Dungeons: Shortbow or Pistol/Dagger (for range and cloak and dagger if they get too close for insta stealth). Both are decent DPS for dungeons. Plus poison share and short bows poison arrow targeted AoE is a combo effect.

Farming event tagging: Short bow hits 3 targets on it’s auto attack. Has 2 targeted AoE’s as well to lay on the ground. one of which enables bleeds if you explode it in air.

Ease and leveling speed. Speaking of speed, thief has a 25% speed signet. Highest in the game

Thief’s Dagger/Dagger is kitten nice DPS, shortbow isnt a slouch and P/D or even D/P kills as fast as you can keep up with.

I rolled a necro to 27, then a guardian to 50, before finally rolling my thief and getting it to 80. Yea, it’s that sweet.

But it all boils down to you, really. However, thief in my opinion fits what you’re looking for to a tee.

Is it possible via using the thief hood trick, to get cultural armor on others? (IE: Using a human to buy human cultural, putting the skin on a tradable armor piece, and then giving it to your sylvari?)

I ask cause quite honestly I don’t like the sylvari cultural armor.

Sounds REALLY cliche, but….we have no answer for you. My first toon was a necro, played to 20 and got bored.

2nd toon was an awesome guardian. Hard to kill, easy to kill with. Got to 47. Got bored.

This toon now is a Thief. Sick sick sick. Dagger/Dagger, Dagger/Pistol, Pistol/Pistol, Short bow….I rotate them out at random and STILL PvE is exciting edge of the seat mayhem controlled only by my stealthing and where I tell them they’re going to die.

You need to roll a few and try them all. The one with most all around usage however I’d think would be a warrior. Range and Melee availability. But seriously, it’s all up to you and you alone.

HoD is an awesome 24/7 server. I, as an SBI’er, (Though I can’t speak for all players) would like to say thanks for an epic week. We had you all weekend though!

Maybe if JQQ would spend less time being all (J)QQ on these boards and more pew pew on the battle field….

But then again, I’m sure the ones that realized we (SBI) have no alliance with HoD are not the ones posting here.

Also, really sad I missed the giant battle today. Heard it was epic
