Where are the chests in the open world?

Honestly, the only alternative I’d be content with is if you got them from open world Jumping Puzzles, all the people stating they should be able to get them without needing to step foot in SAB, to get SAB themed skins seem to think they’re somehow entitled.
If you want the reward from an event pretty much based around jumping, do the content to get the reward. What’s the point of even having original content when you want to be able to get the reward from not even doing it?

They added infantile mode, and they also added tradeable weapon skins, there’s your alternative to actually playing in the SAB, and that’s all there should be, even I think my above mentioned extra is pushing it.

Would you play in an underwater map?

If they revamped underwater combat, I’d consider it.
As it stands now though, absolutely not. Too many classes have similar mechanics, not enough utilties, some classes have more than others for use underwater, as well as elites.

Less Meta references, more fantasy setting.

If I wanted to experience these cultures, I’d do it in real life, not in a “fantasy” MMO.

EB Puzzle Camping

ANET supports JP campers.

Is that why one of the earliest patches had them block siege weapon placement in jumping puzzles?

“Earliest patches” really isn’t correct, they only changed that this year.

As for the subject on a whole, you can still do the Arena under stealth, you just need to be incredibly fast and make no mistakes in doing so.
The EB JP is in a PvP zone however, all you’re complaining about is PvP happening in a PvP area.

Get a Guild, convince them to do the EB JP and overthrow the campers, it’s entirely possible, just not solo. Hell, if you’re even just after the achievement, wait until you hear a Mesmer in map chat screaming about ports and enjoy the free (but not deserved) achievement.

Stand still bug.

I’ve been having this happen occasionally through the day myself, playing as a Guardian. The only thing I’ve really noticed is that I’ve always been getting absolutely piled by snares, stuns, and freezes when it happens, using my Hammers 2 skill generally frees me.

And i want to hang out with Destiny’s Edge again

Just replay Story Mode dungeons for that highschool drama storyline.

As for replaying the entire Personal Story, I’d only be up for that if they actually got rid of Trahaerne, every alt I level always stops the story at Claw Island.

As someone who plays a Charr Dagger/Dagger Elementalist, I’d like this very much.
I went ahead an bought two Warden daggers, because I love the look of them, but all I ever get to see is the very tip through my past because of how bad Charr clipping issues are.

I love this idea, I’d gladly pay for the option to sheathe them at the back of my shoulders.

i had enough from all those kick engine

Why do I feel like there is more to this story…

Even if the OP did something that justified kicking, doing so at the end of a dungeon is poor taste no matter how you look at it.

I’m personally quite fond of the kicking feature, and the only time I don’t feel it’s alright is when someone gets booted for the sake of the group majority bringing a Guild member in for the last boss, in which case, that’s reportable and a gross misuse of the system.

Kicking on the last boss if someone is being disruptive, and you don’t care to tolerate it, in my opinion is entirely justified, that’s what the system is there for, to get rid of someone who is either stopping the run from progressing, or just generally annoying everyone in the group.
Just because it’s the internet doesn’t give someone a free pass to have no consequences to their actions.

In the end, don’t make snide comments back at people, or give someone a reason to boot you and it wont happen.

I see this issue from a point of view that I’ve recently wanted the HotW armour set.

Most, if not nearly all my runs have used the ledge past the stairs, and either the beam, or the wall for the final boss of path 1.
No, I’m not a fan of it. No, I really don’t want to do it, but I can completely see why players are doing it.

-The areas in which people do this have been there for ages, it isn’t a new bug to point out, they’ve been there for months.

-The final boss especially takes a stupid amount of time to kill him without using one of these spots. After doing a full Guild run where we didn’t do this to the last boss, we were fighting him consistantly for 20 minutes.

-Fighting a boss normally that can potentially last 20 minutes, then have the group wipe isn’t a good feeling, and a total waste of time.

-Alot of players, like myself, can -only- PuG runs due to time restrictions/Guild inactivity. Pugging a run, then saying you don’t want to do these things generally results in you being laughed at, then kicked. There’s no choice, you either shut up and do it, or don’t play the content.

-These are all issues that should’ve been fixed by Anet long before now, rather than waiting for the dungeon revamp to do it, which could still potentially be months away.

Honestly, I can see Anet doing one of two things regarding all these dungeon bugs.
They’ll either ban everyone who’s been doing it, and I can sadly see them actually doing it, or release the revamp and pretend it never happened.
If the banning path is taken, lots of innocent players will be caught in it purely because they wanted to play content rather than playing something else entirely.

Even then, the fix for skipping groups of mobs in a dungeon would be simple. Stop letting mobs have a range where they’ll just forget about you. Other MMO’s make them chase you through the entire dungeon, I fail to see why they don’t here.

Something tells me you completely miss the entire point of holiday events.
It’s meant to be special because it’s limited time, if it was year round, it wouldn’t feel special at all. See; Southsun Cove

This mightaswell be a thread wishing that it was Christmas every day of the year so that you got presents each day. No, it doesn’t work like that, neither do MMO events.
Plenty of MMOs do this style of limited time yearly events, if you don’t like it, perhaps you shouldn’t be playing MMOs in the first place.

New jumping puzzles, yaaay?

The part I liked best about this post was where you mentioned the four new JP’s not being hard enough, then promptly asking for a nerf on the Clock Tower because other players make it hard.

As someone who’s completed the Clock Tower, I can say that other players are distracting, but most fall off really fast. It’s not a nerf that needs to happen because this is an MMO, players happen. Deal with it.

Next thing people will be asking for a soloable version of Obsidian Sanctum, because being killed in a PvP area isn’t fun.

Siege Weapons in Jumping Puzzles

So, I’ve noticed this tactic is still being used by certain servers, even after putting in a few reports of it being an exploit.

How is this even close to being fair play when having several siege, and even just one Ballista set up there can wipe out players before getting off the loading screen? Generally anyone who gets the middle platform is just able to get rolled constantly by siege, whereas the opposite sides can only get hit while standing on the edge.

Siege really don’t belong down in the jumping puzzle apart from griefing people by blocking vision of narrow paths while in the construction site phase, or just sitting up at the entrance camping people with slower loading screens.

Yes, it’s possible to kill them by jumping down and AoE’ing the ledge, but only if they’re close to the edge.
