If I can be banned knowing I did nothing, why invest time and money and be banned again?
I think you provide good advice but based on my experience you could be banned too. You are making assumptions that this is a reasonable process I think it is a program that is not quite tuned yet and may never be. I accuse arenanet of botting.

I totally agree with you 100%, I think soon this game will be playable only by bots cause their glitchy ban bot is banning all the REAL gamers.

I don’t agree with Arena nets approach to this problem and the massive disconnect they have from their fans/customers via Customer Service. Pitiful….

Just a question…….
If Your favorite music artist spits in your face for no reason and blames you for being …i don’t know.. ugly…the first time u get to meet him/her and you’ve been listening to their music for years, Would you still listen to their music and continue to support an artist that clearly doesn’t care about their fans/customers???

The question was to get you people thinking about how truly disrespectful these cases are.. Arena net is dragging their feet with a proper fix and we the consumer suffers for their shortcomings..

Anet spits in our face by banning our (Paid for, if i may add) accounts and offers NO explanation as to why they feel that way to take those actions on someone who PAID for the game (No warning in-game or anything)J Just. BOOM Banned!!! all of a sudden…. and after Anet finds out they are wrong about you and 2 to 15 days later unbans you account they give you NO explanation as to why you were banned in the first place.. so RUDE!

Second time banned in 2 weeks… Not A Happy Customer!! :-(

i just wanna play a awesome game on my free time like everyone else. Im taking nothing way from the Gameplay cause its amazing…. AND i could acually tollerate the bots running around, i really dont care… I just wanna play…. is that so hard to understand ANET…

Read your forums! ANET!! help people that reach out to you proving that they are REAL and not BOTS..

I came home and attempted to login only to find my account had been permanently terminated for botting… I have NEVER botted in my life, what the heck? I wouldn’t know how to do it if I wanted to.

I would really like to know what it was that made them think I was a bot. Considering the fact that I have reported NUMEROUS bots (aka nude archers) I think it’s pretty ironic that I’m getting blocked for botting.

Anyway I just submitted a ticket but reading here that it will take 2-3 days to fix makes me sad…

I was banned for the same thing which now make me think there is a massive ban taking place right now and multiple random hardcore gamers are getting their accounts banned for trying to enjoy their nights,,

2 – 3 days.. pfft!! sorry to say but it took me 5 days to get my account back when i got banned on 10/28/12 Directly after witnessing my account being hacked (12 slot bag and all trade-able mats stolen)

Hacked, robbed banned and now 6 days later Restored.

Well My account finally got restored.. wit no explanation of course… and no compensations for my pain and suffering…. LLS… o well… at least its Friday and when i come home from work i can finally enjoy my $. Good luck to everyone else who’s waiting to get back in after being Hacked, Robbed & Banned .

Tips: I only submitted 3 ticket with my main info that they asked for, I’m sure all extra unnecessary information gets in the way of progress.

USE A TOTALLY DIFFERENT PASSWORD… PERIOD!!!

Dont get hacked again, cause honestly.. part of the blame was on us as gammers to mix it up and secure our stuff on our end.

Sadly im sure we all have the same “Story” cause im a veteran MMO player myself and have NEVER experienced a ban of any sort untill this…..

I trying to be nice about this situation but rage swarms beneath my skin, cause IRL i wouldn’t let anyone steal from me but yet i get robbed online in the blink of an eye on a peaceful Sunday morning….Then after i am robbed i am looked at by Anet as a Traitor to my gamming community and Banned as a gold seller….. .. tisk .. tisk…

What puzzles me is that Anets customer service STILL hasn’t gotten back with ppl nor sent out a global E-Mail about the matter or even Acknowledged that They are messed up…

Its crazy and im starting not to care anymore…. those Chinese hacker/botters can have my account, I need dat cash back so i can buy something that’s worth my time cause i think im done with this.

Friend can't play for 2 months. Free account for the hacker.

I agree wit you completely, if they can ban innocent users from their personal accounts… then why are hackers still allowed to run them for their own greedy purposes (Botting)? its ridiculous and i am with you on that refund thing,

Ya i understand that there is $0 monthly subscription and just $60+ up front to buy the game but who would buy something with the thought that their money would be wasted, privacy invaded and no explaintion nor reimbursement is given to the consumer that supports the game/company… bunch a BS if you ask me,

And im not ranting, im just telling the truth and speaking my mind, maybe ranters are just very angry and opinionated ppl who have been done wrong, XD

Not to mention 1 day before i got hacked i Purchased $20 Worth of GEMS (1600) to buy a new toon slot and more bank space getting ready for the countless hours i was gonna spend playing GW2 ….. and didnt get to use em….. Annnnnnnnd i cant get a refund…… Soo Ridiculous !! I feel cheated and abused….

Because of the crazy storm headed towards me here in Washington D.C. im off work today…. but the only problem is, i Still haven’t gotten a response about my account being visibly Hacked and robbed by some random Chinese guy and then banned by the company (Anet) that is supposed to be standing up for me as a gamer…

Im sure whoever runs the servers can visibly see someone logging into someone else’s account repeatedly from sketchy ip addresses… but they ban me because they claim that i "Sold or assisted in selling GOLD? instead of issuing me a new password or something or even new user name all together…..

Anet is going around Shooting first and ask questions later….. :-( that’s how innocent ppl get hurt and it NEVER isolates the problem.. just makes things much worse….

Help me get my gamming on Anet,….I have a lil bit of faith left in Anet that says we can get this thing handled soon.. but from reading others posts and topics some have been hacked an banned going on 6 to 10 days now, with NO RESPONSE from Anet other than the 2 to 3 Lame automated messages, such as this one (Most recent i’ve recieved)

I feel cheated, and I am upset by the fact that I could be waiting a week or more to be told that it was a mistake, and I can play now, having missed halloween and been scared that I may have kittened up and been banned and lost my account.
Or worse, that they deem me guilty, and won’t give me my account back. OR even worse, that they might refuse to tell me what it is that I have done wrong! That would tear me up inside.

I feel u man, i Got banned Sunday at noonish and i totally understand ppl have been banned longer for nothing just like me but i feel like since its Monday now we all should be getting some kind of response or SOMETHING!

well.. Off to work for the week with no enjoyable memories of my weekend Halloween gaming cause i didn’t get a chance!!

Why can we not get customer service in a timely manner?!?

This Must be some kind of “trick or treat” Halloween Conspiracy!! i am now forced to spend my sunday night before my 5-day work week Drinking and Ranting about the obviously poor security and customer service this company/game is providing, i honestly feel like i wasted $80+ and am stripped of my chance to get the HALLOWEEN ACHIEVEMENTS i fiend for…. -_- but NO! i gotta spend my Sunday from 12 noon to now (9 PM) worried about if i will EVER play GW2 again without spending 60 more bucks and starting ALL THE WAY OVER….. sux… alot…. Arena Net ….. HELLOOOO!!!!!!!!!

Well I’ve been Locked Out for Getting Hacked while i was playing this morning… I Got kicked out of the game and couldn’t log in for several minutes then when i actually got back in the game, My High lvl character was # 1 in the list and i know as well as anyone else knows, the last toon played is the first toon in the list, well i didnt play that toon i was playing on a newly created ranger for which the previous day i acually bought some gems and got a new character slot. Now I am out of $60 for the game and $20 for the gems that i didn’t get to enjoy because i got HACKED and then moments later Banned and thennnnnnnnn IGNORED by Arena Net’s lame customer service…….

Not to mention the Moderator is more attentive here in the forum Deleting my messages in a timely manner because i CAP a few word to express myself.. again.. lame

I AM THE VICTIM!!!! GET ME BACK GAMING & DON’T SILENCE MY VOICE!

THANKS ANET I NOW OFFICIALY MISSED OUT ON THE 1 time event IT MAKES MAD. I have been waiting for 6 days for just 1 JUST 1 reply about my issue none have been given i missed out on the 1 time event as im sure MANY others did because anet goes around banning innocent people. Who agrees with me?

I got banned earlier today and still no response, same thing thats’ going around with everyone else, False claims that people are selling GOLD when they are not! I got Visibly hacked! all china and japan ip addresses cloud my email with unauthorized access and i notice when i log in my Materials and 12 slot bag is gone then moments after i finally log in i get banned and locked out of my account. which seems like for witnessing the HACK in progress.. Now I am obviously punished and locked out of my very limited weekend fun with a very limited event i want to enjoy… We Need Fast Answers!! immediately!!!
