After following the instructions of Deathmond.7328 I never crashed again in gw2.
I am running 32bit Windows on 4gb, and it has nothing to do with it.

If you have your video driver crush you need to do:
- if you use Asus crad download Asus GPU tweak;
- If you use another cad download MSI Afterburner
- install and run this program.
- you need to use option GPU voltage. Increase voltage by 1 or 2 steps(one step is 0.012). For example my GPU voltage was on 0.975 after increase this to 1.000(1st step – 0.987: 2nd – 1.000) I no longer suffer from video driver crash.
- Then press “apply” and save this profile like “1”
- every time before run GW2 run Asus GPU Tweak or MSI Afterburner and load your saved profile.
Video driver crush happen because GW2 “think” that your factory overclocked(most of cards now factory overclocked) card is unstable so if you wanna play without crash try my little guide. Good luck!

Some update:
Also you need to try increase GPU clock too by 1 or 2 steps(1 step 10 Mhz)
For me it looks like by default I have GPU clock – 775 Mhz GPU voltage – 0.975 and mane many video driver crush.
At 800 Mhz(2 steps for clock from 775 to 800) and 1.000 voltage(2 steps from 0.975 to 1.000) GW2 work fine without video driver crush…

I had the same problem. I did exactly as he said, not only did it fix my new trouble but also the crashes I used to have on GW2 every 1-2 hours vanished. I can run the game for as long as I want on whatever settings I want , never a crash again.
Thanks mate
PS1: Sorry, I cannot understand how to quote on this forum)
PS2: Sorry for bumping an old topic, but I was searching for a whole day for a solution, tried too many things. I think this should be made sticky

Hello, I am getting these random desktop crashes. It’s not periodical or anything, might be ok in LA for 3 hours crafting, and maybe crash later in another small map.
I will paste all the msg I receive here because I really don’t know which parts of it might be useful.

I play a Mesmer and I think I will stick to it.
In other mmos classes were more specific. I’ve played and enjoyed tank class, heal class and dps. My tank was dps with shield (mix def/off) my heal was defensive/heal spec and my dps were glass cannons.Thats the one class i dont play, so i cant really advise to well. But i do know Mesmer is probably one of the, if not THE hardest class to pvp well with. You can go to the Mesmer forum for any questions you have, and i suggest you join the OMFG (Official Mesmer Forum Guild). You can be in several guilds at the same time so thats not an issue.
My main advice would be to roll a warrior until you get a basic understanding of how to pvp in this game. One of the most powerful classes right now, and a low skill cap so you can do well with it at any skill level.
Yes it seems you were right, the first time I joined pvp it was a tournament (without me realizing). Ever since I discovered the game browser and I can practice my Mesmer without getting any dissing etc.
I realized that in the first days the game frustrated me, in a sense that I felt that I can’t master the mechanics for pvp. But I noticed that every day I get better so I think the learning curve is quite good actually.
Mesmer is tough but I think I’m getting better at it concerning avoidance and use of clones so I won’t drop it.
I think the work put into this game is amazing overall.

No it was not a tournament it was a quick join. Is world vs world open pvp better place to start then?
Hi,
I am experienced with other pvp mmo games, but I just started GW2.
I am still at a loss and don’t feel comfortable yet with the mechanics, since it’s day 2.
Yesterday I thought I should try a scenario/battleground/arena or how they are called here:))
In the end of the game, I was called a kitten by another player, I was obviously not doing what is expected to be right.
So my question is:
Should I first level my char to 80 before joining pvp games? What’s the best way to learn? Start early and kitten other ppl off by being a beginner? Read forums about how things work? Pve your kitten around till you feel comfortable with mechanics?
My goal is ofc to learn the game and be a good asset of a pvp match, but should I avoid it completely to not harm the outcome of games for ppl who already know what they doing?
