Showing Posts For MadAsgardian.7920:
A) You use the materials you gather (ore, leather, cloth, claws, totems, etc.) to craft items (swords, armor, etc.).
B) No. To learn a craft you need to talk to a crafter in certain cities. For norns the closest is Hoelbrak.
C) If you’re a warrior, weaponsmithing or armorsmithing would work, paired with something else (they both rely on lots of ore so it goes very slowly if you choose both). You can only have two active crafting professions.
It can be fun, I focused on it for awhile. However, if you want to build up enough gold to buy decent items later in game, you’re actually better off selling your materials at the trading post.

True enough, turns out I did get all three. Still very anticlimactic.
From the southwest.
Completed “Romke’s Final Voyage” and “The Source of Orr” this weekend. For the former I received a nice amulet plus choice of decent superior rune.
But for the penultimate Personal Story mission, the one where you cleanse Orr and complete Trahearne’s personal quest, what do you get? A nice piece of armor? A choice of cool weapon to help you face off against Zhaitan? Nope: either a Revival Orb, Instant Repair Canister or Booster Multi-Pack.
Seriously? Why so boring and uninspired?
As a level 80 warrior with cash flow problems, I have a hard time justifying the 2 gold required to purchase the Grandmaster Training Manual. Am I just really unimaginative, or do none of the third-tier traits seem all that appealing?
I’m probably missing something… but if you’re still in the beginning zone, why not create a new character with the name you want?
I can’t find the link at the moment, but pretty sure they’re aware of this and intend to fix.

…basically making the game only playable for about 1.5 hours at a time.
While I find the various farming changes disappointing myself, as they punish everyone for the deeds of a few… the above assertion is just patently absurd. There’s plenty to do beyond farming the exact same spot on the exact same map (or exact same section of the exact same dungeon) for hours on end.
I have no intention of coming back and defending this position to the blind fans who cannot see the actual problems with this recent update
Or, you know, maybe other people aren’t as obsessed with farming as you seem to be. I have a lot of fun helping out lower levels players, trying different builds (as opposed to min-maxing) and haven’t even started my first alt yet.
