I did not spend 3 hours in a dungeon to be kicked on the lass boss. So don’t give me that its my fault bs. Betting has nothing to do with the merits of the time and skill to get to that point.
they wanted me to pay 5g because I lost
Here are my screen shot of the players that kicked me on the last level of a 48 fractal, the other players wanted me to pay 5 gold to continue or kick.
I am starting to feel the same way, I see no reason to purchase gems. Not worth it, I actually looked at my bank account and realized that even though I thought I spent roughly $60 the exact figures were closer to $90… I find that highly unreasonable for 1 skin, and I am extremely ashamed of myself for buying into it. I feel like that guy that salvaged his Legendary on youtube then quit the game. Honestly, he probably was on the right path.
Then it becomes a money game of gambling.
Actually I was here for holloween and I did spend roughly $50 as well and got nothing, in the end I had to purchase the holloween skin off the trade post for about 50Gold or so before all the prices sky-rocketed to the 200+gold. And I did forget all those extra picks an stuff that had no use, absolutely none. What is funny is anet decided to make the skins bound as to force people to either buy keys or don’t get one, so theres no way to get them off trade post. Then they push it into this ridiculous gamble. I am at the point where I feel like I wasted enough money to just quit.. Honestly. I just flushed $60 down the toilet, why not just put the dam skin in the gem store and charge the $60 already, or is it that you want players to waste the $100s that its not really worth.
You spend all this money on keys, hell dam near $60 now, and all you get is this stuff with no use. What are we suppose to do with it? Why all the gambling? I might as well just flush $60 down the toilet at this point, I feel like a fool. Most of the other stuff you get from buying keys for Black Lion Chest are guild karma or something just completely useless. But the rest of this stuff has absolutely no use.
Like really what use is it?
I will submit a bunch of images, each time I take the AR gear off it displays 10, but when I put it on it says 15, when it should. I have this issue on my warrior but not my necromancer. It should display 20, and I take damage like normal when it says 15. I tested with AR 30 and I take max damage while it says AR 15.
bad idea. no one wants to be forced to do every content in the game. that is ridiculous.
I don’t mind the new fixes, but my reasoning for skipping mobs, especially in instances like “Arah”, most of those mobs 1 shot players. (Especially with the concept of not needing a tank, healer, etc. which you can but you don’t need it). Its not eliminating that concept and going back to the norm.
Now my thing is, back when this game was advertised in beta, it showed the possibility of fighting mobs anyway you see fit, by pulling them outside their zones and finding new ways to kill them. I know we all remember the Ascalon Catacombs right with the 2 Bosses, where a team pulled one out the door and locked the door. Lets put that into perspective of the first Boss in the Dredge fight in Fractals. You can no longer pull him out the room or he going invulnerable and or resets. They fixed the wheel because hey its an object and were not suppose to use it as an advantage (crutch). Ignoring the fact you can only dodge twice before you dodge has a downtime for a few seconds.
Skipping: The reason skipping became the norm in everyday is the game itself advertised for the casual gamer. if that is the case then the casual game is the gamer that has kids, chores, works for a living and has little time to play for long hours. Yet we are somehow having 2 perspectives on what we should and what we can’t do. Honestly for a 5 man group I do not expect dungeon content to be longer that 1 hour. I shouldn’t haven’t have to be forced to spend 3 hours completing a single path because we are forced to kill Every single mob in the instance, that is ridiculous. I can expect that from a game such as WOW, Age of Conan where they have 20 player+ Raids, but on a 5 man limit no.
I have to say last night I spent 2 hours in Fractals and on the 3rd level was dredge lvl 30 fractal. Now I have to say at the 2 hour mark i was tired, thirsty, my eyes were falling asleep and I started to get headaches. I even noticed on the Harpie (asura) fractal the lights started to cause me some blurryness. Which normally tells me that I need to stop playing, but then what about the group, should I say to them: “Hey guys I helped you get all this way, so carry me to the end because i still want the reward?” of “Hey guys I am tired and though I did all this work I am going to quit now”.
With that said lighten up, you complain about people finding ways to skip content, it is not because they don’t want to do you content but you can’t force everything down a players throat, it is not viable. I heard this was never meant to become a gear grind, and it is about having fun and enjoying the game. But who is having fun right now? No one, plain and simple.
Finally for those that don’t want to skip content, it is a simple matter of posting a looking for group message and saying “no skipping content” it is not hard at all. Some people want to kill every single mob and some people don’t that kind of time.
By the way, how about and actually vote on most of the features in this content, as to what players really want. I mean no one can force you to skip but why be forced to do it all.
Should it take 6 and a half hours to comple 1 path? That is expected of a 10+ man or even a 20 man raid group, granted that if after 2 hours you can stop half way and come back the next day or so and continue from where you left off then yes maybe.
But this dungeon is not set up like that, its a big dungeon and it is definately more than a 5man instance.
Path one the giant worm boss, the mechanice need work. Same for the flubber boss, he sprays a bunch of crap every which direction with limited ways to avoid, theres no sequence in it like a regular puzzle game per say.
The Lui boss which every path has to kill… He is at least 5 times bigger than the player, he clearly moves faster and its quite hard to avoid his bubble 1 shot kill with only 2 dodge rolls. His AOE spray zig zags and even with the red circles on the group which should give you the intention of where to stay away from it still hits you, then he also shoot random ones that hit you anyway. The npcs that remain alive during the first part of the fight tent to run around taking the position of the grub away from the stacking players.
I see anet patch bugs and exploit, but thats awful if they expect 5 people to remain in a dungeon for 6 and a kittenin half hours..Seriously we have lifes too…(can you tell me why this dungeon needs to be frustrating to complete?)
It has a serious overspawn of mobs, that most people try to avoid for 1 hour because its clearly imposible for 5 people to kills an overspawn of spiders. (since theres no tanks – supposedly mechanic in the game) – which by the way doesn’t really work so well.
I can see why most groups get to that point in the game gets frustrated and end up quiting the dungeon, its very expected.
Granted yes the dungeon needs to be challenging, but 6 hours isn’t challenging… Fractals 10+ is challenging but it doesnt take 6 hours to run.
This needs a tweak, some of the bosses need a tweak as well especially Lui, its a big room which he can cover faster than any player. (go figure)
I got many responses from people but we came across a slight issue a few times. People from other servers were not able to join the instance. Sometimes it work sometimes it did not. The issue is Anet and not the player, the error is being caused by the cross server not able to connect the player.
Also, Add me to friends: I am currently on Northern Shiverpeaks server. Looking for consistent groups
Because of the game stance on a single player taking part in an event without having to join a party to accomplish it. It is hard to find parties for particular dungeons, its a small flaw in design, I hate to think that people play an mmo to remain a solo player.
I was recommending setting up a Signup board where people could create a sign for a dungeon and everyone that signups on the board auto gets placed in party. This way pugs can start much faster and not have to spam map chat where on a few see it and not much response.
This board could be accessed like Trade Post from anywhere to sign up.
Shadow of the Mad King backpack Mad Memories: Completion Edition – Unable to put any type of Jewels into it.
I do not know if this is a bug or just how it is, but it says it has a slot but unable to put anything in the slot
Hello, I have added you guys to friends.. Anyone else interested in running dungeons? (gear farming)
Like title says, I am looking for a consistent group for HoTw, Arah… and other should the group decide to do them.
Teamspeak and Ventrilo is available.
Unable to complete, he keeps teleporting around and 1 shotting, then he summons mobs that are invonerable. When you die you get reset back to start, the boss gets reset and all mobs respawn, but the mobs the boss summons don’t get reset, they stay in the room consistenlty spamming an aoe skill and they remain invonerable.
That is why they have so many bubbles and heal buffs. But shields don’t seem to give any added bonus so you can get away with using a sword/torch (etc) and still get benefits of the utility skills. But then again if shields started to give blocking bonuses, that would make them too strong because it would backfire in pvp making them almost impossible to kill. Same for PVE. Those issues would really have to be thought out carefully.
That point about dominating a server is very true, what happens to those players? They give up and leave, goto another server and try again.
2G Repair cost after breaking all equipment trying to kill a boss in the level 80 dungeon. (It is no escuse as to why those bosses are so buggy, but thats a discussion for another time).
The cost to repair in these areas are very bad and takes away from the actual play time. I started a dungeon with a few friends and half way in I simply told them I have to drop, I cant afford to keep going. (Especially when at the end of the dungeon there really wasnt even a good loot)
Same for WvW, I get queued up hoping to have some fun (of course im a new player, I’m expecting to die…a lot… but can’t afford to play for very long.
At level 80 waypoints cost like 2-3silver thats where most of the money I make goes… but the repair bill is the real killer. Its just not worth the hassle of going through a dungeon or doing WvW, it is too expensive to keep up. I spend a whole day farming and I can get rid of whatever I make in 3 deaths…
