And Christmas on GH garri yesterday. AM proving one more time why they were given the name Blobaddon.
I was asking myself why they are called that, cause to me it seemed a lot of servers blob. But I never saw such bad blobing as AM does and such cowardice. If they catch a small group their 60 man blob goes to any extent to kill them. If they see any serious numbers, even if less than them they turn tail and run away.
If you see a few AM actually engage in a fight is only because their zerg is just around the corner.
I was semi AFK in a bad spot (aka open field). An AM warrior tried to attack me. The moment I dodged his attack he ran away.
I will take my server match up to explain why it’s an issue, although I think it was already pointed out in this thread.

At reset we were very close to AM. But they still have more players than GH even in prime time and that meant fight on UW decided won the reset. It was AM by a very small margin. But night came and the gap widden and widden.
Next few days even if we fought at prime time in home border and AM border and EB and downgraded everything, UW border put them on top.
Every evening we have to fight to downgrade their stuff on all borders and usually manage to do that, while they have to get our paper properties cause we had no chance to upgrade during the night and day cause we don’t have people to defend.
They tick 500, 600+ at night. Which we can’t overcome in the 2-3 hours of prime-time.
If we talk about PPT the real solution to this is population balance. Anything else will not solve it. If we talk about player enjoyment during those times then there are more solutions that can be discussed (oh, I forgot, that can’t be discussed cause there are already solutions in development).
Me, as a non prime time player I get no enjoyment if the enemies get less PPT for buildings while steam rolls us, or if they get less wxp and karma. I actually find it unfair for them to get less rewards (PPT they can get less), because it’s not their fault that we don’t have the man power at those hours.
Defence in GW2 is a joke. Against zergs is a bad joke. Helping me defend versus zergs will make me happy even if my server still loses in score. At least I know I can defend that T3 tower, or delay the attacker for a long of time and not get steamrolled in 1 minute.
But increasing defence posibilities also gives power to the servers that dominate, cause now at prime time they have an easier time defending their T3 structures. So this doesn’t solve PPT issues, solves fun issues for people playing in off peak.
The coverage is important cause the PPT is the same no matter the time of day, the people attacking or defending. It’s like playing basketball where a team can field players for 4 quarters while the other can only for 1 or 2. It’s obvious who will win, but it seems it wasn’t obvious for ANET when this system was designed and EU and NA got separated.
What was the point of this thread? Because from that reply I understand there is none. There are things already in development that will be implemented and can’t be discussed.

WOW. You want to know why? Really? I mean you really expect an answer to that? And suggestions on how to address that have been already provided, but will probably be ignored cause things are already in development anyway.
Sorry to say, but with each post devs make I’m more and more amazed at the disconection between players and developers.
WOW, so they deleted that with no answer.
So players in WvW complaint a lot about PVE content in PVE as an answer they got even more and their complains now get deleted.
And they try to tell us there is a “collaborative development” effort going on. They prove time and time again they are not capable of that.
What is worse is that PvE content is placed really the worst of all. I crossed one that was right on a dolyak path, which means they would kill the dolyaks.
ANET is really going Zipper Interactive’s way and probably will end just like them if they don’t wake up.
Some suggestions are fine, but still won’t solve the issue.
Less points for server who outnumbers the enemies. It helps by slowing the point increase, but they will still win points AND the players on the other side won’t have fun anyway.
Also servers with coverage have a day to get free upgrades on their stuff and then when prime time comes the servers without coverage now fight to get a T3 tower/keep/SM which now is worth full points cause the population is equal.
Yes, the suggestion will make the gap smaller, but the winner will be the same AND what’s more important people in off peak will still not have fun.
Working solutions are those that make numbers even, or that give chances for outnumbered servers to at least defend for a reasonable time, cause right now there is no defending against a zerg even if you defend a T3 structure. Siege inside is uselless, you can’t even stand on walls. The only “solution” is to ban rez the lord untill the zerg gets bored, but even for that you need some good numbers. And if you can’t defend the server with more numbers will get 1 point instead of 10, but will still get that point and you won’t get any.
From all the solutions I saw the one I think would fix this is WvW servers different from PvE servers. Match-ups based on colors only so every color would have numbers and coverage all the time.
But I don’t know if they can implement that in their current engine, so even if it looks like the best solution it doesn’t mean it’s also possible.

Oh, you got a very high tick at 6AM fighting alone. Congratulations. I understand you don’t have many things to be proud of, so let that be it.
Every time I hear “The spoils of battle” only to get more trash… I mean piles of bloodstone dust. Which at this times is really trash, I can’t even sell it to a vendor, I always have to destroy it.
Removing those messages would make me happier.
Here is my list:
1. Account bound WxP.
2. WvW specific balance for classes.
3. Harder to cap structures, especially upgraded ones.
So many things wrong in WvW that 3 items is just not enough and some shouldn’t even be mentioned, because ANet should have fixed them already. From things like account bound WxP which I can only ask myself “how was this not done in the first place”, to bugs that never got fixed or even worse, things that work in PvE, but not in WvW, because even copy/pasting code seems hard. Lackluster rewards, useless structure upgrades, PPT system that is only about coverage.
My motivation was so low already that I wasn’t there to see the bug in action.
But I’m sure that’s a L2P issue. Just dodge, invul skills, etc.
First and foremost willingness to do so.
After that what Phantom said is a very good start.
What is this complaining about defenders building siege and implying it’s lame to do it? And sorry, I must have dreamed when we attacked FSP keeps and were greeted by ac fire, a lot of acs.
I think ANET should devolop a flat square where guilds can go and smash heads to prove their “skill”.
I enjoy WvW for the objective aspect and I wish it would be done better. Bannering the lord is broken mechanic. But also entering a T3 so easy is broken. Being able to aoe siege on walls is broken. Being able to fire ac from behind gates is broken, but everyone do it cause buildin on walls is pointless. Useless canons and oil are broken. Ruin buff is broken. The way zerging and stacking is encouraged is broken.
I looked at the videos from both sides and noticed how many red names you see from one side and how many from the other. Equal numbers indeed. /sarcasm

I think the golem used to test WvW malfunctioned and gave wrong results when testing.

I can collect 50 emp fragments in less than an hour in pve. it would take several days in wvw to get that many. lol. sure they want their wvwvw players. lol.
i can get 50 dragonite in less than an hour in pve. it could take weeks to get that much in wvw.
I think you are doing something wrong in wvw then. Cause I have 750 of each and destroyed at least twice as many and I play mostly wvw. I just hate when my characters gets all excited about the “spoils of battle” when I think “This garbage again!”

Then a lot of answers saying we did and nothing. Then silence.
Can we have any acknoledgement of the issue and an ETA?
As far as I am aware, those posts were from two weeks ago when the exact same issue appeared. Why is this happening again?
I am assuming something has gotten messed up with the free trial accounts again, but then, why do only EU accounts seem to be affected?
I doubt we are going to get much support until Tuesday, seeing as it is a holiday weekend. Best we can do is hope it fixes itself shortly, otherwise we will be without the TP for a day or two.
