Yes. The camera. As a charr I totally approve all camera fixing. This is often jump puzzle level bad. Windcaller is the worst for this.

I still never understood why there isn’t a 1st person option.

Maybe it’s just because we’re on TC but everyone almost always resurrects the person who is dead at the arena. The ideal situation is to have 3 people at one arena. One person resurrects well the other fights, then you fight while the person in queue resurrects and then when you die the person waiting resurrects you. Minimal waiting time for everyone and no WP costs. If you are feeling selfish then make sure you put yourself in the queue before resurrecting.

I don’t know. I think it’s an ok trait. But not grandmaster level. If I were to change it I’d put it as 8 seconds when struck by a critical, otherwise, 6 seconds when struck by a normal attack. Or maybe somewhere in between the two.
Even with +60% boon duration I barely notice this popping
(30 in tactics and 30 from runes)

Now if you want to nerf thieves. Get rid of their ability to exploit their way into fortified keeps using shortsword and shadowstepping onto smc wall from outside.

Pretty sure it wasn’t dev intention to have a class that can bypass keep/tower defenses

I dunno. As a warrior I found my usually not great in 1v1 shout heal hammer build pretty good against them. Just need stuns and stun breaks. From what I’ve seen they have little in way of cond removal or stability.
I only get half the kills though as a good theif knows how to get away.

Tips from thieves I know and experience.
Have a stunbreaker.
Have control effects.

My favorite is when the make a house and I earthshaker it followed by ae knockback.

Shouthammer is a nice build for helping allies too. 7k ae heal with stunbreaker which fuels the earthshaker. If I know the thief is around I just wait for him to take some squishy bait.

Interesting thread. Does this apply to buffs as well? If I have 1200 healing with my regen and it stacks duration (it does actually stack duration) and someone adds 5 seconds of healing but with a healing power of 200. Will my regeneration just have time added at 1200 healing power?

I asked someone and they said it takes the highest, but I’d love a second opinion.

How do you leave combat? Because you have no movement skills on your weapons.

Not sure what you mean? I… walk away? I’m with a zerg, so I stick with raidleader. If I need a bit more speed I can always use the banners for swiftness. (I always keep the tactics banner on me as we move for active heal + swiftness + blast then drop it once I’m in combat)

Mace shield hammer. This is a build I’m planning to migrate to from my current, very similar build. The idea is you wade into the mass when you need 25 stacks of might. You can smack with the mace, or pull out the hammer and do some good AOE damage with earthshaker. I’ve toyed with this build a bit trying to get good synergy and the problem here is getting enough adrenaline to use it, so I put down Cleansing ire with the bonus of clearing conditions.

Instead of reflecting missiles, I debate putting shield mastery, but you can also gain might off the mace block.

The might actually lasts a long time due to the tactics line, water and monk runes, plus Omnomberry cream. This also allows long-duration regen despite the raid moving around a lot. Around 300+ a tick. If you can get folks to carry your banners and just drop them before they go into battle, they’ll usually start with 30+ seconds of regen.

Things I don’t like:
Really miss 15 in discipline. I like switching fast between weapons.
Choosing between hammer mastery and gaining adrenaline via cleansing ire. Need a reliable way to gain adrenaline. I kinda miss the adept version without the cleansing for this reason =/

I’d love some comments/advice to help me adjust it before I spend gold

Knight - Omnivalent Warrior. (PvE-WvW)

Banner healing can be interesting. I have a banner-heal warrior for my zerg-rushes, but I’m still learning.
Full apothecary armor (cond/tough/healing) and trinkets
2 runes of monk, 2 runes of water and another 2 that give 20% regen bonus.
Throw in an omnomberry cream for 40% magic find and 20% boon duration.
I use Bow/longsword & warhorn (traited)
I’m not sure about this weapon selection, but the bows burst helps me get some bag-loot

3 banners. With trait. (plus warbanner for quick res)

When we zergball we usually run a circuit around our enemies, as I’m at the head of our zerg I drop them in our path. I also cary the tactics with me while we run, using the heal. Since it stacks duration, the timer actually ticks up. (without using the active heal from banner it ticks up 3 seconds every 5, so 5, 8, 11, 14 etc…) so it tends to last a long time. On me alone during one banner I get to a minute and a half

Scenarios:
Beating down an enemy gate
Plant 3 banners, spread out, as people move it keeps stacking up, generally going evenly over the raid (the 5 people it heals changes). During that time it keeps arrow cart fire from hurting too much allowing people to save their personal heals. When we charge in, everyone has at least 30 seconds of regen.

Zergballing another zerg:
Usually we loop around them to their back-lines or charge through them. I just toss them about the battlefield. Enemy zerg isn’t going to move away unless they’re running. If they’re running, we don’t need to heal, do we?

On the rare occasion I die, I’ve seen my regening ticking as I run back over a minute after my banners have finished their cooldown lol. I also see a LOT of green on the battlefield (300ish. I’ve debated trying +healing food)

I’m actually not sure about the apothecary armor, I’m debating going back to cleric, but I need enough cash first. My next try is gonna be shout warrior with runes of the soldier. It’s a bit selfish but this build SUCKS solo, so freaking, hard.
