Not quite. In Rift, the artifact would show up as a glittery spot on the ground. You did not know what the actual item would be until you clicked on it. I guess there was more of an element of surprise. And they were easier to collect than the collections in GW2, I find. But that’s my 2 cents.
I think it would be really awesome if GW2 could implement an artifact or treasure hunting system like in Rift. For those that have never played that game, you would occasionally find artifacts all over the continent – pages of books, pieces of items, etc. These items would be used to form collections, and be turned in for rewards. I am not sure if there is any interest for that kind of thing here, but it was my favourite thing about Rift. Thoughts?
I have purchased my Guild Wars 2 CD months and months ago and still have not received it. They do not reply to customer service queries and these tickets are basically never looked at. I cannot express how disappointed I am about the whole thing considering that I have friends who simply listen to the soundtrack for free on YouTube but people who’ve made an effort to pay for it get a worse deal. Seriously, this company has a 0.2/5 review online. Isn’t there something that can be done about this?
Received in the mail but did not attend. I opened the chest but I don’t want to be banned for using the items.
A big congratulations, Anet! Well done!
Well, when I see a “Thank us here!” forum section, I’ll go over there. Until then, I think my post is fine where it is. But of course, you’re free to disagree. Have a good day!
Well, technically this is the General Discussion section of the forum, not “Suggestions”. So I am not sure what the big deal is about.
Well, it is constuctive in a sense that I think the team is doing a great job, and I think they’re on a great track!
I just wanted to write a big thank you to the team for working as hard as they have been to create what has been (for me) an incredible gaming experience. I think we as gamers can sometimes the little things for granted, but I still wanted to take the time and say that there isn’t a day when I don’t find something in-game that makes me smile, whether it is the great sound effects or bits of humour in quest text. Anyway, logging in the game is definitely something I look forward to every night, so many thanks! <3
Bah! I wish I had read this prior to using my makeover kit. I ended up having a light pink glow which I could not preview prior to accepting the changes. :/
Thank you for including this option. I can finally make my sylvari’s skin colour different, yay!! But I agree with the others that a name change is also a must. It would also be great to have the option of purchasing a name change separately from the makeover, for a lesser fee.
I didn’t participate in the final battle, but I enjoyed the scavenger hunt part of the event on day 1 (although it was a tad confusing at times). I am also looking forward to the jumping puzzle and dungeon that were added. Thank you Anet for your hard work.
I support this suggestion. I think it would add value to our choices and allow for greater role-playing and immersion.
I completely agree with this. Please allow us to block the person we are reporting for selling gold.
I like the idea of the Largos becoming a playable race but I am afraid that they will completely lose their mystery then. Every player will have one, and they will all have dark, cliche assassin armor. Sometimes some races are better left alone, even if it looks like a great idea at first glance. Same goes for the Quaggans. Whatever race Anet picks for the future, I hope it will make the world richer. And more than anything, it should make sense. If the Largos are a reclusive race, let them remain that way.
That would be rather amazing, provided that people do not begin to abuse that option and end up running around naked.
I play a human elementalist, and I’ve noticed that there are really no neat pant designs, but only trench capes (“buttcapes” as they’re called). But what’s worse, is that they all look so similar. Apart from a few minor details, the overall shape of the outfit seems to repeat over and over again.
This link shows what I mean: http://img853.imageshack.us/img853/1491/skirtwarslight.jpg
I hope that this will be changed in the future, with less frilly skirt options and something that can make my elementalist look like an arcane warrior type — ie. pants, bits of fur or metal for accents, etc.
A perfect example of what I mean is the armor from Dragon Age 2:
