You are much welcome to guest Gunnars Hold as well. Often we have 1 or 2 maps out of 4 covered with commanders. Sometimes 3 out of 4 maps. Often we choose to have 1 max 2 commanders pr. map, so that the person commanding will get full attention and privileges. And yes, we are looking for more commanders :-)

We have a very strong community site, and are used to support commanders with siege and applauses. The “pugs” of GH generally follow commanders well.

There is also a strong communication inbetween commanders, as well as we have a guild for WvW commanders, to better organisation and communication.

You seem like a great guy. Do you mind sharing some background info; are you representing a community from AS? Or perhaps any of the AS guilds, in case so, which one? Maybe you are a guild leader? I couldn’t see any signature on your posts, and there isn’t many people from AS talking here in this thread (sadly).

One of the greatest moments from leading us tonight was when we had fought DZ off the wall of SM, to the east side, and then suddently realising that they had just breached outer wall in ninja attempt – which led to us being sneaky and get into LR and then take SM. I think we owe a humble thank you to DZ for that claim!

– Salute from PRXM to SWAT in EB this evening. You fought bravely, each time.
– It was also great to fight XxX – would love to do that more. There was especially one time, where you surprised us in Org camp. Another time we faced you head on almost GvG, but our commander interfered, which was propably what tiped that clash to our side.
– Also, all commanders on the map seemed to be doing very good during the evening. Cheers for that.
– A shame FIRE only showed up for one fight in the beginning, would like more, indeed.

All in all good fights in EB this evening. We ended up more than happy, and with more than full bags :-)

At the time we were in EB, the GH forces was split into 2/3 with our commander, and 1/3 being the PRXM raid (approximately), and we quite liked the challenges RoS server pulled against us under your command.

Unfortunately, EB is visited too little due to lag and que. Pesonally, I am hoping to visit you again soon!

I think we may have a video comming underway soon about the night in EB.

Last night at prime time – before our new NA guild logged on – appr. 06 pm to 11pm, GH held a score of +290 to +430. I hope this is answer enough to alot on your above post. GH will prove a high prime time tick more times during this week, don’t worry.

If it wasn’t for the very large gab in overall WvW rating, caused by RoF’s and DZ’s distance to GH, we in GH would move into tier 6. http://mos.millenium.org/matchups
Problem is we need to win with a large enough margin to actually gain points, because of your low points. By then, GH will be in tier 6.

The fights are still great, and nothing is easy fighting two brave and good servers. Thank you all.

Personally, I’ve taken [PRXM] to the 2nd place’s Borderland, mostly DZ, during this week. Would love to go EB some more though, but it’s a bit laggy there on the GH side.

Comming from Gunnar’s i’m partly flattered seeing us predicted in Top 3 tiers, and i’m partly surprised as well : )

I will have to say that I don’t see us going top 3. Next week will be a toughie, fighting FSP and Miller’s Sound. A true test of 3-way fighting, which we hadn’t had for long time.

I’d be looking at AG / Gandara instead to replace us in Top 3 predictions, who have had recent transfers of good guild.

@ OP: Reset of WvW will soon come. RoF is a strong server, I hope you will do good in next matchup. Also, your Eternal Battleground placement depends on which no. in your tier you are. So it sometimes takes a few weeks to complete Eternal Battleground as map.

Only a week ago many of you were in uproar about Xaoc’s move to Vabbi, stressing how it upsets the balance. But now its ok for you. Maybe some of you should refrain from making rash comments on other threads and it might not leave such an impression again.

Minfast, you’ve obviously done your home work good, and seem to follow forums remember individuals’ posts very well. There is an element of truth in what you say … but I believe there is much more to the truth. Every response from a GH’er in a threads you refer to must be seen in the context they were actually put.
The initial reactions on the Vabbi alliance must be seen in a different context than now. And, welcoming Xaoc because of difference in contexts is – NOT – hypocritical.

I’m not gonna describe in detail each server-moving occurence since the Vabbi alliance was made, but the uproar against Vabbi was not personally against Xaoc, but was mainly a general statement against higher tier servers moving to lower tier “in a mass for glory” (as I read the replies). After that, MANY guilds have left higher servers for lower tier servers. And, there is NO “hunt for glory” in our server. My point being, see reponses on forums in their specific context, thanks. And, please pay the respect to see on this with positive glasses, instead of negative glasses.

As well, remember that even though “Gunnar’s Hold have welcomed Xaoc”, it was not necesarily everyone who did agree 100%.
Every individual on Gunnar’s Hold has completely free rights to speak for themselves. In fact, this is how it should be – room for individuals. This announcement from our community is the first one, ever. It will possibly also be the last one, with the number of very very surprising negative comments we have received on an actual so far succesful guild intake to our server.
Please, don’t judge whole communities purely on individuals’ posts.

I hope servers in future will continue to recognise Gunnar’s Hold for our community. The community is and will for ever be our greatest asset, not individual guilds, and not individual players (only Commander Starhejm (internal joke sorry:)).

I believe not many in GH feel good for our current opponents, which we have already won against last couple of weeks. Intake of Xoac was certainly not to stomp on you even more, which is far too short sighted. Please keep discussion of that in our server vs server thread.

It wasn’t intended to discuss Gunnar’s Hold’s recruitment strategy here, appologies. We are not attempting to mass-recruit via the forums, and have never been (I will look for editing above posts, if it seems so). I will held my answers with this, and stay on topic.

Yes, the text written about Gunnar’s Hold [EU] in the above will also have the effect of recruitment. The reason for that is because it is appealing in itself with an actually organised server. But, it was not the main intension of my post – I wanted to proove that all sorts of good organisation also happens in the mid-lower tiers.

I found the whole thread just slightly annoying being this judgemental. How can anyone be secure enough and well-informed enough to speak on behalf of all servers. Clearly, noone has visited all servers : )
Yes, some servers are very badly organised, and yes, some servers are very well organised. That as well will account for the higher tier servers.

I am being honest with saying, that I believe this thread mainly accounts for NA, and not for EU. A majority of the above points, is certainly not applicable to EU servers.

In the end, server transfer comes down to the community of the server you are settling with. If you enjoy the community, and it feels like your next family, you will also enjoy the fights. So, scouting is important and getting to talk with your new server mates is important.

Comming from a European server (in mid-low tier), I can easily prove that the above mentioned does not at all count for our servers. I’ve seen very poorly organised communityes, and very well organised communities.

- The WvW community is among the best organised and involves 1000+ players multiple guilds and smaller groups
– Each week, there are multiple WvW events with attendants ranging 25-50 on each event, and the signups are increasing for each event
– Larger guilds WvW focused guilds are also in mid-lower tiers, and is not at all “just a zerg of randoms” running around
– All our commanders work very closely together, and focus on gathering people in an efficient and friendly way
– Its only within a smaller timespan of ca. 3-4 hours, where our PvP is low in numbers, and we are currently working to get this covered as well

I believe there is alot of difference as well, if you are a EU or NA server in the mid-bottom tiers.

Honestly, the next server trying to say GH makes an alliance in this matchup – I will do all to draw all forces on you. I’m tired of any trying to state something that is so obvious not true. I speak only for my self, but it is kind of insulting – after last week – to accuse GH for that, just because we have pulled together our own server forces this week.

I’m still so amazed that RoF does not attack RoS. In fact RoF are looking to LOOSE points in the tier latter. Well done : )

As a GH, I am proud how we are holding off TWO servers, at one time. This is sweet : )

@Talon and any other from RoS/RoF, who will neglect that there is an alliance:
– don’t do it, it will make you look stupid, really
– it has already been confirmed by both members of RoF and members of RoS
– it has been shown at any time of today and yesterday in EB, and in RoS borderland.

Instead. Man up. Give each servers a brave fight, and fight for the tier you actually belong, in stead of pretending.

To RoS in particular, do you want to be the main reason another server wins? Or do you want to serve an equal fight? Just saying, I’m hoping for the latter. I’ve fought I’m you BL and you are great players, indeed.

So what if GH wins? Maybe the server is actually better alone I’m the current condition, maybe it is not. Give it a go, honestly.

1. Yes, we joined forces due to DZ being massively outnumbering everyone, even combined.

2. Our reset night was a one-off. Don’t use that as an argument, It doesn’t stand.

See this as putting a hand forward. Grab it, or don’t. I hope for more thoughttrough answers.

Based on the last 1½ day, it is very clear to every guild and commander in GH, that RoF and RoS are working together against GH. It’s shown in EB and in every single borderland. The score has very clearly changed, from a 10K lead to GH, to a ca. 8K lead to RoF.

I am not gonna go into details on, “then you took this tower, and then we took this, etc”, but one thing is for sure:

I’d like to encourage the leading efforts in RoS and RoF, to think twice “if this is really worth it? And, what consequences will it have for me and our server?”, for the numerous reasons there are to actually stop your alliance. Think about what you will be known for in future matches, and what kind of future hostility you are building. Think about if you prefer a hollow victory, or a proud victory.

On Gunnar’s we have always invited our enemies to a “talk after the battle”, and so would we like to do with you. It’s fun, and learning, we laugh, and we talk about good fights. Obviously only, if the fight during the week has been on equal terms.

Every commander, leading force, or WvW guild in RoF and/or RoS, are welcome to have a mid-week talk with us from Gunnar’s Hold, if you would like. Any of the above from GH can help arrange it, or myself.

Ps. A last thing, yes, I’d like to say that in EB, we had a hard push in the first night/morning. After that, as you can see, we are holding nothing right now.

If you are looking for a server with quality players, an open and friendly cross guild community representing and coorperating with a majority of the wvw guilds on the server (also PVE/PvX guilds ‘n groups), and players who bring fun and enjoyment to WvW – try and talk to some from Gunnar’s Hold community.

One last aspect to consider for you: It depends of course, what you want to achive. I believe, that if you guild want the feeling of “really making a difference” – then you should look at a consolidated server, in the bottom half of the socring. In this way, you will surely make a difference.

The current guild base of Gunnar’s wvw community is very stable.

Like last night Drakkar came and took our keeps in our Underworld border, you guys gave us hell. That garrison cap was pretty fast, I didnt notice anything, but I wasnt really paying attention at the time (shame on me).
