I can already guarantee this won’t be the best Staff-P/P build out there, but it’s very similar to what i run myself. The best part about this build is that you can facetank with it because literally everything you do heals. Attacking heals, critting heals (which you do 100% of the time with Fury), evading heals, spending initiative heals, lifesteal heals, etc. And because you’re critting 100% of the time, you’re doing double damage 100% of the time, self-buffed. If it’s really too much healing you can always swap Invigorating Precision with No Quarter for your Fury upkeep and you’ll be golden.
I really like this build overall. I might swap out the Inf Signet for Shadows when soloing stuff, but overall this is a much better build than I am currently using for this weapon combo.
Thanks for sharing this!
Is this a thief main thing to go in other class board and cry for nerf? I don’t see other class main go to other class board and cry nerf except in pvp forum.
Also he said he see power shatter alot in pvp, did the meta just change?
Its a pretty good bet the OP has played very little PvP and is talking out the poo hole. He probably got wrecked and is coming to cry. The level of constructive feedback on the class shows a marked lack of understanding or comprehension.
I personally have no problems with solo play in PvE content as a Mesmer. When if comes to grouping are you calculating the spectacular amount of damage you are contributing to the other people in the group? Just using some DPS meters results of the dps that the Mesmer is directly outputting on their own on a dummy is all but useless for a realistic view of the Mesmer.
Figure out how much dps a Mesmer adds to the rest of the group, then multiply that times the number of group members. Now add that to your dps from the dummy. That will be a much more accurate picture of what Mesmer brings to the table…
I feel like you are being a bit hyperbolic in your assessment of the phantasm’s rate of death. Perhaps not, perhaps its a bit of the language barrier.
But number aside, I get what you are saying, you feel phantasms die too fast. However consider, with good positioning they are taking away attacks that might otherwise hit real characters. If left alone they can do significant damage. (If you spec/gear for them to do so.)
Overall I disagree that they should be altered into normal attacks. They already do provide a unique decision to the opponent. They essentially allow for tricky things like attacking around corners and dealing damage from multiple vectors while alone. Good use to multiple types (ranged and melee) can allow you to really make them worry about where they are positioned.
Also keep in mind that many people use Chronomancer, and for the trait Chronophantasma you can use shatter as well as maintain some significant phantasm threat. Additionally as it is impossible for Anet to balance all specs in all situations we need to accept that some builds are simply better or worse than some others in certain content. (Phantasms are amazing while doing solo PVE content, and perfectly fine for dungeons, it’s ok if they are not the best choice in sPvP). While true balance might be an ideal, it is simply put, not realistic without making everything super homogenized and boring. MMOs just cant do that no matter how much people howl and scream for it.
In short, I feel that asking for the abilities to ‘just delete them and give us and ordinary attack’ is not a constructive comment and oozes hyperbolic sentiment. I would be very disappointed if this change was made.
This is some very well formatted but totally unfounded crying. The analysis appears to have come from being owned pvp. If anything for the most part Revenants are easy prey and they just got nerfed in most of the areas where they were strongest.
