In general, the HoT maps (and Living World Season 3 maps) are less forgiving for solo play. Especially at first. In HoT you have Verdant Brink, Auric Basin, Tangled Depths, and Dragon Stand. Each map is based around a map meta event. You can run around solo on these maps and do some events and things, but the larger events are going to require more than one person to do. Some of the Hero Points are simple “commune at the place of power”, some have veterans or champions. At first, you’ll find those nigh impossible solo – later on, you’ll learn which ones can be soloed and which can’t.

Breaking the defiance bar is IMPERATIVE in HoT. Learn your hard and soft CC skills. Breaking that bar almost universally results in a stun, and a much easier, shorter fight. I can’t stress that enough – CC’s are hugely important in HoT…and almost ignored in central Tyria.

Since you mentioned you play a warrior, my main is a warrior and I normally run around HoT with Headbutt and Fear Me for skill slot CC’s (and headbutt for adrenaline – always open a fight with it!), Greatsword, and either axe/mace (mace 5 for a big CC) or mace/shield (mace 3, and shield 4 for CCs).

I bought this game back when it came out , but sadly i never got to endgame. the reason i left had nothing to do with GW2 either. Im a gamer that sort of nomads through the games i have.

anyways ive beenplaying and happy with the game, i like seeing people as i level in various zones. I got my son to play and since im a higher lvl most games it wouldnt work but bringing my 62 warrior down to play with his thief has been fun.

This is the number 1 thing i look for in games is fun and playing with my kids.
one other fun thing for me is no sub but i can buy gems if i choose to get gold or some cool skins, unlock character slots , add more bag space or bank space.

I had bought heart of thorns earlier and got my lvl 80 well i decided to delete that 80 because i want to work for it and learn the game again.

i do have some console games im looking into that are coming but i need a good computer game still

anyways i hope to enjoy myself and possibly join a guild soon but want to have feel for the game again before i do.

I love this game |I dont have to feel liek I HAVE to level to enjoy the game and PVP is a BLAST!! no more players in BOA’s 1 shooting me makin it only enjoyable at max lvl and then the overgeared pvpers

Thias is my new home I am enjoying it and btw im lvl 36 in the first month yes i made other character but nothing over lvl 7.. still im a turtle not a WoW rabbit

it is still a guild war cause you can be apart of mutli guilds so the guilds have to work to keep you hence GUILD WARS but in a different way

i am lvl 34 right now i started in the 3 day headstart it is fun for me people need to forget wow and stop comparing to wow this is a different style/type of game

im havin fun and see myself playin along time

what under levled im ALWAYS over lvled but i craft too which give you xp and since i craft i have to harvest.. there are ways of gettin xp.. if they increase it id be lvl 80 before i get anywhere .. i think its fine

I love the fact my supplies are in a collections tab but could we still craft without removing them from there??

I can understand you might have to put it in your bag space to craft but just would be easier, cause then just the crafted things are in your bags????

I love my Norn i could do all professions Norn but try not too.. a thief would be silly so tall he couldnt hide lol
