Sorry for hijacking your thread man, but would someone please tell me what armor skins those are? Looks freaking sweet.
It’s a kittening mmo, just buy the freaking expansion like a normal human being and stop whining kitten .
While I get the sentiment for why you’d be asking for this, I doubt this will get added or would go well.
The moment arenanet add elite specs for gems, people will total the cost and freakout about how much more expensive it is to get them via gems compared to buying HoT.
Example:
1 Elite spec costs 800 gems.
Total cost for all 9 elite specs would be 7200 gems = 90 $(EURO or w/e)That is without any HoT content getting unlocked. People would run up the walls and freakout over such price gouging (not even going to do the math with 2k gems, that’s absurd). No one will go:“Oh cool I can now get the one spec I want for insane amounts of gems.”
The reaction would be more along the lines of:“You are so greedy. You suck. Wah wah wah.” (and rightfully so).
Well, the people who would want all the elite speccs could simply buy the freaking expansion.
There’s this thing with games that don’t treat your characters individually and pretty much “bundle them up”. When i get invited into a guild, the game puts my account with all my chars into the guild roster. However, i simply don’t want all of my chars to belong to that guild. Not all of my chars are available to that guild. When i’m on the character that i started together with my gf, i’ll rep the guild that i started with her, not the one that one of my other characters belong to.
That’s also what i say to all those guilds that require you to rep them: just because the game puts all of my characters into your guild, doesn’t mean that i actually see it that way, too.
Allmost all classes die to fast, unless you specifically specc for tankiness, which most likely costs you damage, which still ends with you dead because you didn’t kill the mob fast enough. Basically, all classes feel weak.
And then there’s my biggest gripe with the game: there is no character progression. You get ascended, you’re done. You never become stronger. But for some reason, the average gw2 player has a strange aversion to anything resembling a traditional (and working) mmo system.
It’s just another oversexualized, “girls look 12 but have giant kittens”, fanservice-y bullkitten asian mmo with stupid little child characters having bunny ears and tails. The armor looks completely ridiculous. It’s the exact same kitten as tera, and to be honest, it’s sad when people like games like that.
It’s time that they make all recipes account bound, i.e., they unlock on all your characters when you double click them.
I don’t get what you’re talking about, i’ve been solo q’ing for ranked the whole time?
That’s 500 Drinks a day. I’ve been doing Festival stuff for the last 7 hours straight and only got around 300. That’s kittening ridiculous.
I can’t even defeat the kitten thing, it kills me in literally 3 hits

While i’m incredibly disappointed in that decision (i only started the game recently, hit 80 a couple of hours ago, and i only chose a necro as my first class because reaper looked so cool) and think that it majorly kittens over the more casual players…. considering you continue to earn hero points by “leveling up” after hitting 80, shouldn’t you people who played a lot over the past few years have thousands of hero points by now?
The system got changed recently. You have only a certain amount these days. A set amount for 1-80 levelling plus each skillpoint challenge. Or hero point challenge since the name change.
I don’t want to disagree with you, but… i’m level 80. My exp bar says 80 on the left, and 80 on the right. The bar says i need 254.000 experience points. I just went over that threshold, the bar resetted, and i went from 76 hero points to 77. And that has happened 5 or 6 times since i hit 80 a couple of hours ago. It’s 254.000 experience points every time, and i get a hero point every time.
