Hi,
It’s been a loooong time since I played GW2 last… Can one transmute one armor to keep it’s stats with a second one to get it’s looks?
Hi All,
It’s been ages since I last played GW2. I actually started on the release day and kept playing for a good few months. I guess pretty much everything changed since then, both in the game and in my life. The time has come though to return to Tyria…
Just before quitting I was levelling a Necromancer. It seemed to be the most bugged class in the game. I heard many negative comments about it’s usefulness in raiding and PvP. Some spells were broken, others weren’t implemented. There was chaos… But I saw this armour somewhere on the Internet, an armour that made the wearer look like Death itself… Grey wings at the back, robes with bones attached to them and a skull mask to frighten the most fearless warriors… No matter how badly the Necromancer was broken – I wanted that gear!
Now, the time has come for me to embark on that quest once more and claim what has always been my dream. Please, tell me Friends has the Necromancer been fixed? Is it balanced? Do his spells work the way they should? Is he a desired class on raids? And above all else, what are the most successful builds used by the Necromancers in Guild Wars 2?
Thanks for reading!
Very interesting what you say about consumables, third weapon and switchable weapon / utility bars.
Perhaps two extra slots would belong to different areas (weapon or utility) depending on the proffession (Necro gets more utility slots, warrior gets more weapon attacks)?
Hi,
Has anybody felt like it would be much cooler to have 12 skills instead of 10? Most (all?) MMORPGs use 12 minimum and even though GW2 is unique in weapon and attunement switching having more “options” would make fighting even more spectacular.
I’m sure some of you will say they don’t need it but just think about it for a second: nerfing the damage by 5 – 10% but adding two more utility slots (or one for weapons and one for utilities) could really improve the “auto-attacking boredom”.
Perhaps it is just my “overonehundredbugsnecromancer” but possessing such a sweet arsenal of potential ways to kill mobs (when they finally work) and having to drop 75% of them due to only 3 utility slots hurts as hell!
I’d love to be able to use “Blood is Power” followed by “Plague Signet” followed by “Epidemic” and STILL be able to use “Signet of Spite” and Well of Suffering OR ANY OTHER SKILL…
Don’t get me wrong – I don’t want to kill stuff in 2 seconds – ANet: please, feel free to nerf the overall damage output but make the combat a bit more challenging (ppl will need to think and plan their rotations / counteracts) and fun to watch.
Please, don’t hate me for starting this thread…

How to get the Game Client when the connection is poor?

Hi,
A friend of mine purchased the game (boxed) yesterday. Unfortunately, he has a very poor and unstable connection (transfer rate) and no options for a change in his area. The remaining updates seem to be taking forever for him to dowload. He told me he has kept the launcher running for 30 minutes before it downloaded 1% of the files (that makes about 2 days of constant downloading to get the game running).
I know this is an external issue and it’s neither the hardware nor the software that are responsible for this but perhaps there are some ways of getting around this problem that we haven’t thought of?
The game versions probably don’t differ from one another (deluxe = standard – it’s surely just the key codes that enable or disable some extras) but would me copying my files and simply pasting them in his game directory on his PC, using he’s key be legal? Do not get me wrong, I don’ want to break the law if such actions are prohibited. I simply want to help him to enjoy his game before the end of this year…
If the above is not an option, perhaps the client can be downloaded as a whole (not as I did it; small launcher and a long download through it)?
I’d appreciate your help in this.
Thanks!
OK, this has never ment to ba trolling post but I guess it’s turning into one. I suppose you are right – I need to approach the game from a different perspective and ask different questions. Appoligies to those that felt upset.
Every single Proffesion in the game can do these 3 functions, and they do them in different ways!
So an Elementalist can survive as much as a Guardian?
Heck, even Single Target DPS and AoE DPS, I haven’t event head that term used yet.
Dagger/Dagger Elementalist vs. Staff Elementalist?
Oh wow, have you actually played the game?
Is it bad if I havent? Can I still post on these forums?
Hello,
Now that it’s been a while since players inhabited the servers and all sorts of characters roam the worlds I think it’s a good time to generalize our knowledge about the professions that we can pick. I hope that a quick labelling the things certain characters do best could help many new players that struggle to pick and decide which profession they want to try out. I know that Guild Wars 2 is allowing a great deal of flexibility for us all in choosing our in-game jobs and gamestyle, and that e.g. a Guardian could be a tank, a healer and damage dealer if set up accordingly but we all have to agree that some professions exceed in some areas and certain character types suit certain tasks best.
Since I consider myself “a nobody” in the world of Guild Wars 2 I’d like you all to participate and say what you think.
Enjoy your game!

I like the Asura idea…. Not… oh man, please remember the name of the set that according to u looks better……… Pretty please………
Thank you! I’m just about to start a new character and I’d love this to be my end game armour. The thing is I can’t decide who will look better wearing it: a Norn or Human male? Humans are shorter but their proportions are more “standard”. Norns are tallest but a bit bulky… I know I’m crying like a spoiled child but could you guys say what you think?
Hi,
Could you please ID the armor set for the Necromancer found in the attchment?
Can it be crafted or does it need to be bought from vendors?
Thanks!
Thank you Sir. I will contact you in-game. I guess I underestimated GW2 Wiki… I stand corrected! :P
Hi,
I’m totally addicted to crafting in GW2. Not played through the game just yet cause I’m stuck in Divinity’s Reach running between the crafters and the market ;P
I’d love to know:
1. Can the light armour be upgraded with leatherworker and armourer crafted runes or is it only limited to the runes produced by tailors?
2. How much does it cost to re-learn (re-activate?) my previously maxed crafting school without loosing any knowledge? I’m 400 in both Tailoring and Artifice but I’d like to learn to produce some jewellery and possibly a few exotic runes (if point one says it’s possible to use leatherworker’s and armourer’s runes). A good dagger for my elementalist would be nice too. I will however be returning to my original schools later so knowing the pricing on this would be essential.
Please, assist.
