Has anyone noticed a considerable nerf to the drop rate on these when you salvage? The last 6 or 7 lvl 80 exotics I salvaged with Black Lion Kits gave me 0 dark matter globs. I used to consistently get at least 1 per salvage, to the point where I’d thought it was a guaranteed thing. I have over 100 of them in my bank, and I haven’t gotten them any other way besides salvaging exotics, that I know of. But I haven’t been able to get any more for a few months now. I feel like I’m just wasting my Black Lion Kits

like seriously, why can’t you still physically turn into a plague just for flavor? That was kittening awesome. Plaguelands is kitten. I just realized it today and I’m kittened. What are you supposed to do now for elite if you run dire?

There’s no question, whether you like the Carnival weapons or not, they’re obscenely overpriced. I could see maybe paying 50g for the entire set, but not one item. My biggest problem with this is that it’s like a ‘pay to play’ thing. Either you are catering to players with real life money, or players with enough real life time on their hands to grind the living crap out of in-game gold. I work full-time at a job that just barely pays the bills, and in what spare time I can get, I play GW2 to try to relax, to get some escapism. But it’s not escapism if you’re reminded of your real life financial situation while playing the game. One look at these Carnival weapons and I know, “hey, I may as well not even look, because these are out of my league.” That’s not how someone should have to feel when they’re playing a game for fun. That’s how I feel in real life with most any store I walk into. And Anet I know that’s not your problem, but, it just feels bad, man.

I’m someone who never buys anything from the gem store and rarely from the TP, but I would grind gold like hell if it meant I could get a mini Trahearne. Also a mini Forgal and a mini Sieran. They meant a lot to me too.

I like it too It’s a shame I don’t get to hear it more though, because every time I go to DS lately, the map is dead, and I go on LFG to get on a meta map and that map is always full. So I run around in the dead map straining to find the 1 or 2 pods I can get without being on meta

Make it an option for players to turn it off please. It makes the classic Central Tyria JPs not fun because I never know when the gliding is going to suddenly pop and mess up my jump. It’s also not consistent across all the JPs – for example, gliding is automatically barred from use on the Breached Wall JP, but it’s not barred from use on the Chaos Crystal Cavern JP.

I bug reported this just now, I rescued the 5 villagers by myself and killed a ton of harpies and got no Sunrise credit. Am pretty peeved about this.

Also not sure why there’s a “bump” screening on threads like this – when there’s an ongoing bug in the game that isn’t resolved, Anet needs to be reminded that it’s still going on and still preventing player progress, and this is the only way to contact them outside of the game.

What I want to see GW2 add is the option of having a couple of “saved” wardrobe slots for each character, like some other MMOs have, like LOTRO. I have all these cool skins, but I feel like, afraid to change them because then I won’t remember what the hell dyes I used for each little part of the gloves or the boots or whatever. I’ve tried writing them down in note files on my computer to keep track, but that’s a huge pain in the butt. I want to be able to set up a few awesome outfits, and then just click them and instantly change from one to the other. They can still make it cost transmutation charges to do that, to swap your outfit, so they wouldn’t lose sales on those.

I’m learning to just roll with the stuff that’s being offered to new players. The one thing I can’t understand, though, is how people are agonizing over the “grind” from level 1 to 80. Every character I make, I fly through the levels just through uncovering maps, doing some hearts, personal story, harvesting, crafting, and all the food/nourishment boosts you can add on that give at least 10% bonus experience…EVERYTHING gives you exp in this game! IDK, maybe it’s just that I’m used to LOTRO grinding, which takes days for just one level and makes you want to jump off a cliff once you finally get that next level, but GW2 leveling seems like, just so easy by comparison.

I can’t do it either. Any chance this will be fixed on the next Tuesday update?

More character development please, for the love of all that is good in the world. More time with the player’s group of comrades – Braham, Rox, Taimi, Frostbite, Marj, Kasmeer, and also Canach now since he proved himself.

Also Anet, you guys killed off two of my favorite NPCs in the game during HOT and you’re expecting the future of the story to not suck… Please remember that as you’re considering whether or not to give those of us who actually did like Trahearne and Eir closure, in the form of some sort of separate ceremony for each of them in their respective home towns, and with a little specialized player dialogue if the player is Sylvari or Norn, respectively. One of your biggest triumphs in HOT was that if you played the story as a Sylvari, you got treated like a Sylvari, in relation to the circumstances, and you had a more personalized experience. I frickin loved that. As opposed to like, one of the old heart renown quests in Ascalon where you get transformed into a raven by a random Asura as an experiment and your Norn character has absolutely nothing different to say about it than anyone else >.>

If there’s more Ascalon-ghosts vs Charr story content, we need at least one flashback instance to the war, or that time period right before the Searing at the very least, because that would be awesome. What did those buildings look like before they turned into crumbled, irritating jumping puzzles?

Don’t forget that Taimi can’t be the only Asura who’s overwhelmed by the discovery of a lost Asuran city – even random NPCs in Rata Sum should start reacting to that in the background dialogue while you’re wandering around crafting or going to the bank etc. Everyone should be raving about it and sending krewes to go exploring and stuff.

One last thing – if the next dragon is the sea dragon, go heavy on the lore for the Kodan, Largos, and Krait, because yes. There’s intellectual content behind these 3 peoples that I want to see more of. And I hate that the Hylek are considered sort of a “lesser race” so if they have any part in it too then awesome.

Also, the sound at Cathedral of Eternal Radiance after Lyssa is defeated- when the NPCs and karma vendor are standing around in the place where she used to be, if you stand in there too, there’s like some sort of aura/force field noise going on and I absolutely cannot listen to it, it’s at the intersection of “painful to listen to” and “gives me the creeps”.

I’ve noticed a lot more negativity in map chat over the past few months or so in general – I haven’t even seen this new event yet. It may just be a normal effect of more players joining; automatically some of them coming in are probably going to be nasty people, just like others coming in will be nice people. I am thankful for the fellow players who speak up against distasteful comments (racist/anti-gay/ageist etc.), but honestly I do have experience with MMOs that have much less hostile map chats than this one.

I do agree though that there’s not much to choose from for their hair. It’s also disappointing that you can’t put very much age on them. I wanted one of my characters to have serious bags/wrinkles under his eyes, and I couldn’t really do it the way I wanted, but I have seen NPC men in the game who look very worn and ragged, like some of the soldiers – not elderly, but maybe 40s – 50s.

I would love to see Forgal and Sieran added as minis. I really got into the personal stories on the first playthrough, and the characters I had join the Vigil and Priory both happened to be interesting matches for their mentors, so it was cool and they really did leave a mark on me.

We paid full price for Guild Wars 2 back in the day, this is so dumb, this is really dumb, for real.

My husband and I are absolutely not going to buy “HOT + the core game” if we have already been faithful GW2 players for 2 years, that is absolutely kitten ridiculous. Loyal fans are getting punished while noobs are getting their butts wiped for them? Talk about a huge turn-off. We certainly won’t buy anything else from this company.

I think taking anything out of GW2 that enhances the immersion experience is a huge mistake. Personally I liked getting new snippets of story every few levels rather than every 10 levels, because it felt like the story was truly growing with me, rather than some prize to be won after grinding 10 levels, at which point I tend to be very bored with whatever map(s) I’ve been grinding on, and very eager to see a worthwhile, fulfilling storyline- not something that’s been trimmed down. For a fantasy universe so rich with centuries of interesting, engaging lore, a cut to the story content is the last thing I want to see.

Since blue super saiyan hair and the like are allowed in GW2, I’d like to make a request to Anet. I have a male human character who really, really needs a gratuitous blond rockabilly pompadour. I’ve seen screenshots of a Charr with a gratuitous blond rockabilly pompadour, so I know you guys can do it. Please? ^^

This sounds really, really cool. Being able to play Tengu would be great, and that level of detail sounds amazing. Please do it!

I just saw the notice that Tangled Paths will only offer 2 weeks to unlock ‘free, permanent access’ to it. Please, Anet, for the love of all that is good in this world, make all of the living story content unlock account-wide. A lot of us are busy with our low-paying jobs, health issues, car issues, needy family members, pets with messy bowel issues, leaking roofs, and what have you; it would be nice if this game’s story content could be made equally available to everyone and not just people who have lots of free time. If there’s concern over account-wide unlock causing players to miss out on armor variations, then please just fix that issue somehow, so that both sides can be happy, I’m sure there must be a way to do it. Please?

I like the new idea of filtering gear to match your current character, light/med/heavy armor especially since having to search through stuff you can’t even use was always a frustrating waste of time. However I would like to put in my input that the selling aspect of the new TP does not work for me at all. Not only is the little pop-up window slow and laggy, but it’s not very user-friendly, to me anyway. I enjoyed being able to automatically sell all my extra crafting mats etc. all at once for the instant selling price. Especially to clear out my inventory when I’m in a hurry and can’t get to a bank. But it seems to take more steps to do that now, and I find it very frustrating. If it works for some TP users then that’s great, but could you guys please find a way to make selling more quick and easy like it was before? Just adding a “Sell All Instantly” function for each item would be awesome. Thanks.

Not a huge fan of the new trait system. I think level 11 was a much better time to start getting trait points than level 30, it felt a lot more rewarding that way. Also re: Blade Shards, it would be nice if you guys could please put a vendor for them asap. Thanks.

Yeah, if you choose the wrong answer, it just says you’re wrong and lets you try again until you get it.

I had the same problem, worrying that I had missed something about the code in the dialogue. My first guess had been the one where the target was “awake” because it sounded like the character’s encounter with the pirate queen had “awakened” an emotional response in her that she hadn’t felt in a while. Guess I read into it too much :P

I just wanted to make a suggestion- for the Elite skills on the Sylvari Mesmer, I think it would be helpful if the developers could please add in-game info on the amount of damage performed by the summoned Sylvan Hound and summoned Druid Spirit. Since you can only equip one of them at once, and their usefulness varies in certain situations, I’d like to be able to plan ahead better which one to use during events in WvW, large battles, etc, and it’s hard to do that without knowing more than just their summon duration and cooldown time. If there’s more extensive info on this out there somewhere, or in the game already, I haven’t been able to find it yet. Apologies if this subject has been addressed already, but I think it would be quite helpful info to have
