Price will settle at what the market will bear. Not many people going to pay 2000g for a daily chest.
The market doesn’t have nearly enough to supply for more than a couple dozen people to acquire the chest. No matter how this information was released, this would have been the reaction.

I don’t think this is currently possible with a level 80 character. Am I really expected to level a new character to complete this collection?
My suggestion is:
1. either make the rewards considerably lower in dungeons like cof path 1 and 2 that can be done really fast.2. make a system that the more you skip the lower the rewards are. Could be done by adding more events in dungeons and the less events you complete the lower your reward will be.
3. make skipping for a majority impossible. (this would be rather extreme)
I would say option 1 and 2 would be the best. You want to skip most of the dungeon?
No problem you can still do it but remember that your rewards will be considerably less.
You want to make dungeon runs that are only marginally worth doing less desirable to do? You think that’s going to have a positive impact on the game? Really?
so you would say that if im looking for fun pve with raids, challenging and unique and fun boss tactics and stuff like that i should look somewhere else?
what is the end game of this game supposed to be anyway? pvp focused?
Basically, they haven’t released much of anything to finish the game since release. Dungeons have only really been changed to remove popular farming paths that the devs find out about. The boss mechanics are all effectively exactly the same as they were when you first quit.
I think ANet thinks their endgame focus is supposed to be everything. Esports quality spvp, dungeons, skin farming, fractal loot treadmill, legendary farming, etc.. I’ll leave it up to you to decide how well you think each is panning out.
You can get up to +35% boon duration. (giver trinkets + giver armor with 2 s.rune of monk giving +15% boon duration). I think that’s pretty neat. I’m sure you can go higher for boon duration. I just don’t know how effective this will be in combat (as you have 0 power/prec/condi dmg). A full support I guess.
Unfortunately, you’re giving up over a thousand stats for it. You can just equip 2 water runes and 2 monk runes for 30% boon duration instead. Giver stats are AWFUL. Anyone with significant amounts of Giver gear is dead weight in a group.
