Well I thought I would give DSR ago on my 980ti and it was very playable still was still hitting 60+ and looked Great

Just another quick question about temps
I am running a 6700K at boost clock to 4.2Gh with a H100I water-cooler
is around 50-55C while playing Guild Wars 2

Idle is 23C

I know the game is CPU bound.

I was thinking of upgrading my GPU to the 1080Ti when third party cards get release but this card bottlenecks on some 1080p games to avoid this I am thinking of getting a 1440P monitor so I get most use from the card.

I know that in World Vs World, Event FPS always tanks but will it be playable in general PvE and PvP 60+?

I am running around 60 (Towns) 120 FPS (Open World) with a 6700K, 980TI and DDR4 16GB 2400Mhz (Not enable XMP)

So how would Guild Wars 2 performance be at 1440P ?

These are not max settings…………. not even close.

There is a round 7 more setting that can be hit up once anyway if the game was GPU based there would be no problems with anyone specs only time will tell if the game becomes more optimized or less optimized with Heart of Thorn Expantion.

Depending on which version of the expack you buy may or may not get a character slot. Only the Deluxe and Ultimate included a slot.
They added a “veteran appreciation slot” to all 3 tiers, but only if your account was created before Jan 23rd of this year. That extra slot is only given out like once a week now so may take some time to show up if you are eligible and only purchased the basic tier of HoT.

This is on the Guild wars 2 Heart of Thorn Purchase page when you Click on Deluxe out Ultimate edition it not on standard.

Those don’t come with it, those are just things the website is recommending because people who bought HoT also bought those.

Ah right now it all makes sense now Just waiting for them Gem.

I was having the same issues with my Old AMD 8350 with a 770 Ti, I recently upgraded to a I7 6700K with a GTX 980ti and every thing is running max at 100Fps in loins arch.

AMD 8350 is good but games that are bound to the CPU it is very weak due to the single core performance. I tried many things and nothing was working.

My AMD was running @ 4.2GHz the FPS was 60 Locked in open world areas and PvP/WvW/Lions Arch I was getting below 20fps (Graphics Set to Low-Medium)

My Intel I7 6700K is running at 150+ Open world and Lions arch 100+ give and take 5 fps (PvP/WvW not tested) (Graphics Set to Highest)

I have used AMD for many years and it sad to see game running slow on there CPUs.

I Purchased Guild wars 2 Heart of Thorn but i still have not revived My small bits of content

I purchased it around 24 hours now, I know Gems take 72 hours and It said it can take 3-4 hours for per-order bonuses. I got my Guild hall Pet and Title content but not the other items
