Thank you for your reply
But warriors are not my style.
Is healing needed in high level fractals? Or are rangers needed for dps in both fractals and raids or is the ele a lot better in that departmant. If so then i think it would be better go pick ele or chrono and let the druid be. I don’t like getting multiple armor sets (one for healing, the other one for damage) and rather just stick to one set ot stats for both type of instances.
Thanks!
But can you elaborate why those 3 are chosen?
I guess Druid for the healing, as well as ele.
And do people pick Chrono just for the alacrity support?
Or am i completely wrong why those are the most wanted professions.
Does anyone has some good builds for raids and fractals they would like to share? It would be very welcome to make up my mind
Hi everyone,
Achter a long break form gw2 i decided to come back again. First i played soms pvp but i got bored with it. I want to start playing pve, but i dont want to spend a lot of time on 1 character and find out that it is an unwanted profession for fractals and raids, also i would like to find groups quickly. So which profession is the most wanted one and why. (Barring warrior and guardian)?
Thats why it would be nice of anet if they split skills between love, pvp and wvw. The reason het thieves are so cowardly is because they are squishy as hell. The need stealth to survive. So if anet nerves stealth, they must buff the thief in another area.
I agree with Random, make thieves less stealth reliant and buff there tankiness with more condi removal, more evades and such. That way people are less irritated to fight against thieves because of all the stealth and that way thieves might actually stay in a fight longer then for some1 to sneez at the.
Okay back to the subject, what do you guys think about giving the thief a higher hp pool? Would it solve a lot of the problems a thief has?

Ok guys, I just run meta build, want to see it ?? Go to metabattle.
I just take a CoE random group (noobs rarely run this dongeon).
Plz read my first post better. I am talking about PVP!
Thieves damages are fine, 20k backstabs or 20k HS hurt a lot. It’s the class who get the higher damage in a meta group. And as a thief, i prefere a up like 1hp and 1000% damage modifier. Take a necro if you want higher hp pool
20k backstabs 20HS? You must be trolling? if not I would really like to know you do that because the most I hit my backstab is 6K on a zerker mesmer. So please, enlighten me.
PS. The thief dmg is fine if we could survive longer. The thieves problem is mainly in the theives survivability IMO.
you do see warrior icons under there name and warriors who run stances usually are glass so you usually wait the 5 sec. It be like me saying thieves shouldnt get invisibility. Its not fair that my warrior cant go invisible to get out of fights. Its not fair that thieves can do 9k back stab when you dont think anyone is there. Also warriors only get 2 and you can still put condi on them. Where as mist form on vamp rune with double mini engy is a different story.
I have never been able to get a 9k backstab on anyone as a thief, i barely hit /6k on a zerker mesmer hitting from the back ofcourse . You mind telling me how to get 9k
Agreed, thieves dmg is too low for their squishyness, mainly because all of the blocks, blinds, weakness, invulnerability and evades thrown around, That really reduces the dmg they manage to get off by a big amount!
Hey guys,
We all know the thief is one of the squishiest and least forgiving profession in the game.
In PvP if we make one mistake, we are dead. If we get hit by some random conditions and/or cleave, we are almost dead. With all this condition spamming going on in pvp it becomes excruciating to fight a lot of other professions. we either have to stealth (not contesting the point) or run away from the fight (not accomplishing anything).
So what if we gave the thief a higher hp pool, as high as the mesmer or ranger? Conditions would matter a little bit less, we could stay longer in teamfights and just become overall a little bit less squishy.
