at 1242 healing power my bombs heal for 275 each, I can lay them 1 per half second, so 2 per sec. Backpack regenerator does not scale with Healing Power, so it gives me 128 every half second, and regular regeneration buff which does scale off of healing power gives me 291 HP every half sec.
So every half second I heal for 694 HP, or 1,388 per second, actually.
My bombs do 1050-1300 damage versus Heavy Golem (2600 armor) per half second
so my DPS alone from auto attack bombs is approx 2400 DPS. It is probably higher but I dont feel like calculating damage from fire and confusion and my elixirs, etc.
You basically have my current engie’s exact build. Here are some things.
Reinforced shield does nothing while you have bombs equipped. I personally tested this a few days ago. Use Power Shoes or Elite Supplies.
Everything else is up to what you like and your playstyle. This build is extremely viable in dungeons as long as you know when to back off and heal, or use pistol and run if you need to.
I use Backpack Regenrator, and with the healing bombs and regen on, i heal myself for approx 800 HP a second at level 80.
also you should use build calculators that stay up to date, such as intothemists or gw2db. gw2skills hasnt updated since october 2012
Apparently you were right. Problem Solved.
The odd thing is that the icon was fully colored and highlighted already, and did not have the yellow bar showing that i needed more progress. It looked like it was already unlocked.

This bug needs a bit more exposure.
if people want to test it for themselves the way you get the item is you go to iron marshes and go to the waypoint near Bloodfin Lake, across the bridge from the ghosts is the garbage legion charr gathered around a campfire, just escort them, and then stick around after they finish the first event and a second will start shortly nearby where you fight off shadow scales. He becomes a merchant right after you win that event and sells the Skale Venom for 16 copper.

I really would love a reply for a Dev as to why they don’t do this, even “we can’t tell you” would be nice.
the pet summoned lasts until you change zones, or it dies and the corpse remove timer makes it disappear, you can revive it. it only lasts 5 mins or so in fractals or other dungeons, if you are a ranger you get to have your own pet plus the one you summoned. all classes can use it. They do very decent damage at level 80, I saw my hawkeye griffon hit for around 1300 damage.
I play a lot of games, and a good bit of them are more indy/free etc.

Look at these notes, then look back at our GW2 notes, why can’t we have a level of detail like this? This is 1 person working on this as well, GW2 has many many people.
Is it too much work to make a proper paper trail for every fix that has been made? I’m citing that because our notes aren’t detailed enough, things like a Jumping mechanic change, and rangers suddenly having their marksman vulnerability proc work correctly are not in the patch notes anywhere. (both unlisted but in the Dec 3 updated)
(I’m not sure if this is the correct sub-form, forgive me.)
I am sure plenty of other people feel that our notes are rather lacking.
