Well, there got to be a solution to stop them from polluting our bags with useless crap. Keep posting to this thread if u have any.

I’m tired of having my bags filled with useless staff when salvaging, among which are minor sigils and runes. Mark them as junk so we can get rid of them easily. Ofc it might hurt your “additional bag slot” sales but hey the customer is king.

I doubt the couple of silvers they manage to siphon that way has a big impact on Tyria’s economy. It can have one on an individual player’s purse however.

From what u type, I take it u are 80, make plenty of gold and so don’t care about other players’ grievances. Good for u. But not reason enough to post in a suggestion forum…

I’m been struck by the rise in travel and repair costs as my main character gets close to 80. I’m sure there’s a logical reason behind the fact that the same trip between 2 waypoints costs more at lvl 80 than at 1, although the greatest Asuran minds on Tyria haven’t found any. If anything, we’d deserve reduced fares as seasoned veterans and on account of the numerous wounds we’re received in combat. The increase in repair fees is equally real.

If it’s to sponge off the increasing amount of money circulating in the game at those levels, let me say that my purse doesn’t agree. Even with the plenty of events I take part in and as a level 350 crafter, I can’t say I’m rich. I’d much prefer spending this gold on new gear or to improve my tradeskills.

I think you are talking about being level 80 and that you’re out of skill points (if you aren’t sorry, but that’s the impression I get about the above). Once you hit lvl 80 you continue to gain exp, and every 254,000 exp you gain an additional skill point, so you can get every skill. You don’t need to worry about resetting them (which you can’t do anyways)

No, I’m level 55. My concern is to avoid wasting the 30-odds skill points I have collected on the wrong skill. At least now I know that they cannot be reset but that we end up with plenty once lvl 80. Thx for the info.

(from the OP) I’m not sure if you realize it but most of you guys just stated their opinion as a matter of fact (especially those regarding rampage as useless), and didn’t explain why. Plz think if your purpose is to help or to boast before posting

That being said, I still don’t know which skill to pick. How would Rampage be useless when it doubles toughness, triples Vit and gives some nice control effects? Or do Balthazar’s Hounds surpass it dmg-wise? Or is Spirit of Rage, which costs 5 times less, better in every situation (which does sound incomprehensible)? Or should I stop bothering as skills can be reset somewhere?

Any constructive advice is welcome.

The Deep Strike warrior trait is described as giving +40 precision per equipped and unused signet. In fact, the bonus amounts to 20.

I’ve checked the “Ranger Skills and Traits Clarifications/Fixes” thread but the following questions about our tier-3 utility skills remain. Don’t bother replying if you’re not sure about your facts.

1) Frost trap: what is the difference btw. trap and effective radii?
2) Signet of the Wild: how long does the active effect last on the pet?
3) Guard: Does the pet gain Stealth and Protection for 3 min or 10 secs?

I’ve tested that warrior trait several times against different enemies and not once have I seen a hit after a dodge, successful or not. Either it doesn’t work at all or its in-game implementation is very clumsy, as warriors need close range and to face their enemies to hit, all of which is nearly impossible when dodging.

I’d appreciate your looking into it.

I haven’t quite figured out the Investigation part of the Dragon Bask event. I’ve been asked via a letter from Marjory Delaqua to track down and interrogate the suspects behind the crime. My questions are:

- Why are these tasks not displayed in the Event panel? For example, I tracked down the 1st suspect by following his tracks inside Lion’s Arch. I used the investigation gizmo that Marjorie gave me. Still, I’m not sure that this step is considered completed as I haven’t got any success or failure confirmation.

- Why does the letter send us to parts of Tyria that don’t match our current level and besides doesn’t tell us how to get there?

I think I’m missing something concerning this event. Maybe it’s supposed to be a server-wide story, not just a personal quest. Anyway, if u have some answers, plz share.

I’ve just purchased GW2 and I’d like a little more information before choosing my home world.

1) Do all my characters have to live in the same world or can I choose a different world for each of them?

2) Where can I find information on the best server to fit my playstyle beyond the terse region and level of population indicators? After all, the list is quite long, and there might be other differences between the existing worlds.

3) What are the pros and cons of choosing a world with a very-high population ?
