Uses for Achievement Points

You have a great achievement system, but right now those points aren’t really doing anything beyond looking pretty and going up.

My suggestion is to be able to buy things with achievement points. Nothing too game breaking. For purchasing these items, you could subtract the achievement points being “spent”, or just have users unlock the items once their achievement points have reached a certain threshold (preferred, I think, since people still want to show how many points they have).

Small-ish items to be considered:
New titles, new mini pets, new town clothing, special fun items (like the EL tonics and CoEF from GW1).

You could also have game-changing items for very high costs (something for players to strive for). Two suggestions I can think of would be:
“Frequent Flyer” – all waypoint travel is now free (this would be for example for 50k or 100k points, something far off.
“Dungeon Dirt Inspector” – all armor repairs in dungeons are now free (this could be at 100k or 200k achievement points).

Dungeon Updates

So now we have:
1. No gold from dungeons
2. No exp from dungeons
3. No fun from dungeons
4. No drop from dungeons
5. Ugly skins from tokens
6. more deaths because of dungeon difficulty after patch

nothing to do here.

I pretty much agree with this.
I can’t see you gaining anything but the loss of customers when they realise your endgame only caters to the hardcore and the only casual path available is the farming of some tiny boring events in the orr zones, or going back and doing old noob zones, which results in pretty much no real reward.

The issue isn’t just with making dungeons “easier”.
It’s that your idea of challenging is horrible, hp meatshield non-boss monsters, buggy events that barely work and are really frustrating. Reward for time spent is way off.

My only hope at this point is that GW1 was much harder at release, and then over time most things gradually became easier. They didn’t actually tone anything down, but they wound up giving you more options, which in turn made the difficult content easier.

I don’t think they are going to lower the ridiculous HP, but maybe they’ll tweak them for a better time to reward ratio (and hopefully lower the token costs or raise the tokens dropped as well).

I also agree that the dungeons are going to drive the casuals away. I’m still having more fun in GW1 than I am here.

Summon Power Suit - Useless skill?

It does seem completely lacking. I could see a use for it in certain dungeon fights (just for the knock backs), but other than that I also want my 10 points back.

Per-character Dye List and TP Dye Searching

You can find a complete list of dyes on the official gw2 wiki. I just copied and pasted that list into a text file and I can check it by alt tabbing or using another device (tablet or phone) while I’m at the TP.

I agree that it would be better in the future for them to implement a show only unowned dye toggle in the TP.

I also wish that dyes were account based rather than character based but that’s a discussion for another thread.
