I have my account set up to send me an activation code via text when I log in at a new location.

I will be going overseas for a month, and would like to be able to play while I am there.

I can not receive text messages while I am there.

So how will I make it so that I can play while traveling?

Will I have to remove the text activation code before I leave and then put it back on when I return?

Nope, I had someone else with me, but I was the instigator for all instances, they were at the same place in personal story as me (leveling together), were taking all the same choices as me.

I am leveling a charr character and went with the priory and the skritt lesser race story.
When given the option to choose between stealing gunpowder and saving the missing skritt, I chose to save the skritt.

However, it still gave me the stealing gunpowder story instead.
It’s not a big, game breaking bug, but I was very disappointed in not being able to play the instance I wanted to.

Update, when I got on a different computer, it patched fine. still no idea why the patch messed up on the fancy gaming pc and not the aged laptop

So after repeatedly restarting the patcher, it finally reached 100% only to have the game crash every time I try to launch it.

While trying to patch the game it will work normally for a short period of time then the download speed will go up to 2 MB a second (which is actually impossible with my internet connection due to location) then plummet steadily (doesn’t go up and down at all, just down) straight down to 0 KB a second where it will sit for a while and then the information telling me how much is to download, the download speed, and the number of files remaining will just up and disappear. If I close the window and reopen it, the same thing happens again with the only change being the number of files remaining will be down by 10 files (literally almost every time the same number of files changed, only once was it not by 10)

I tried restarting my router but it changed nothing.
I checked my firewall but it does not seem to be blocking it.

It’s been days and I am still stuck with two key fragments, I tried reporting the bug in game as well as commenting on this thread.
Every day since I have done perfect and gotten 3 key fragments which I turned into keys and used. But the two I earned on the day that glitched are still there, useless.
I missed a day of that chest even though I did everything perfectly because of a glitch.

I am very unhappy about this.

Me as well, getting this error code 1083:5:7:1595:101

I have this happening to me too.
Getting the key fragments regularly since the festival started.
but today I came in a little late the first time I did mad king says, got nothing.
Second time got perfect, only two.
Did it a third time and got perfect again. Nothing.

Played for 1,5 hours and everything worked fine. As soon as i entered fractal i got DC.
Noticed that in fractals it happens more frequently.
Just in case it can help your investigation.

Yeah, any type of instance seems to have more problems than the open world.
Story instances, dungeons, fractals, all having even more severe issues.

It sucks because I have been wanting to grind dungeons and even when gw2 is being nice enough to let me wander the maps for more than a few minutes, I still get kicked out of dungeons too often to be able to do anything in them.

This is getting ridiculous, I can barely complete the daily completionist lately because I constantly disconnect and it makes me not get credit for events. I can’t do ANYTHING else right now.
They need to figure out a way to fix this because right now the game’s disconnecting just constantly fluctuates from aggravatingly persistent to literally unplayable.
