Well +1 from me as well, for all the good it will do – people releasing sub par games on Linux and then complaining that they didn’t sell well (Cough, JOHN CARMACK, Cough) hasn’t done much to aid the gaming on Linux cause, which is a shame!

Linux doesn’t have a AAA MMO, it doesn’t even have a AAA RPG! The rewards are there to be reaped by a pioneer riding the new wave started by Valve. GW2 has the perfect financial model for Linux as well, and Linux typically draws more technically minded folk who would play the Trading Post thus generating more income.

But meh, I’ve been posting messages like this in MMO forums for years, nothing ever comes of it.

http://tinyurl.com/bpyugzu is a bit more offensive and you still supply the AoE crowd control which is the biggest part of the build. The AoE confusions you land may not deal a lot of damage but they will confuse especially since enemies may not realise from where it’s appeared, introduces a bit of hesitancy. Leg specialist for AoE immobilise is too good to sacrifice IMO.

People may accuse you of being a lazy signet build but you still get to do the job you were built to do which is AoE crowd control.

I think the staff really shines in WvWvW if you prefer a back seat role, it’s absolutely awesome for keep defence. You can spec akin to the Crithammer variants, with Altruistic Healing and Empowering Might, in a crowd of people your Empower will heal you fully whilst granting them a decent stack of might and giving off a worthwhile heal at the end.

Wave of Wrath fires through doors and combined with Wall of Reflection you can stand there for ages killing people on the other side since you’re getting healed through your crits and rotating Empower will keep you up indefinitely – quite often I can drive them away from hitting the gates all by myself.

Symbol of Swiftness you can fire off in a smale scale scuffle whilst being sat back away from it to give your team some speed for a bit of extra mobility.

Even though Orb of Light has a decent range it’s only of use up close and personal, to be fair I very rarely use it as I’m generally about 300 away at the rear of my front line.

Line of Warding I use to block doors when sieging, they are usually too occupied trying to get through the door to dodge through it but it’s best to try and time it right so they bump into it regardless, also it’s great for stopping people running away from team-mates just don’t put it up too early so they can see it and dodge through it.

I can see how the staff can be used offensively but I enjoy it more used defensively – with my spec when I pull a Hammer out I’m Crithammer anyway so I use that for offence.

Well I have Altruistic Healing and Writ of the Merciless in my build (Crithammer variant) and I get the heals from the symbol, I get the might from Empowering Might and the heal from the might as well.

Yes to all, if it says Allies you get the boon as well.

Same as a lot of other MMO’s, there’s usually a class that can solo Champ/Elite all day long but it just takes a long time to do!

I’m specced at lvl 65 (still leveling) full Honor with all of my symbols maxxed (size, duration and heals) and have 15 points in Zeal so the symbols vuln. I just pull out a hammer, autoattack (I press 2 when it’s up for retaliation) and circle strafe around champs for 10 or so minutes and they eventually die.

Quite boring spec but it’s great for PBAoE farming and for taking down champs that don’t have PBAoE death rays.

WvWvW, well people just kite me or run out of my symbols, if they are silly enough to toe to toe with me then they deserve to die.
