Feel free to check my Well Build (in my signature). You can move 10 trait points for wells to siphon health (I used to play with that). It’s not extremely efficient but if that’s what you’re looking for, well, take a look
Protection (from the well trait, remember to stand within the well’s AoE when you cast it) and life siphon give you tons of sustain!

I’d say that the most important thing is getting used to using the skills so that you do it without thinking. So I guess the tankier the better when you’re new to the game. That’s why I’d suggest something that gives you protection as far as utilities are concerned (Wells with protection buff from my build or spirit armor, or both) and some condi-tanky gear.
Another thing is getting used to maps and general tactics, if you know what you’re doing map-orientation wise you will be fine
I don’t like minions personally, you might want to get used to golem-truck however.

I have posted two video-based necro guides some time ago. My Well necro is a good starting point, once you know how to use it you can move on to Dhuumfire Spite build.
I have also created a guide for players who are new to pvp.
Here are the links:
General pvp guide for the beginners: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4IBmfaHtbTw
Well Necro guide (easy to play) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qo6ke5gGabM
Spite necro guide (for advanced players) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8ShQ0dwUa8
Feel free to comment in the threads they come from if you find my guides useful :

Thanks mate! I also have tPvP and general mechanics guides coming but I will need some time to record it all properly.
I gotta say that the Well Build is newbie-friendly, I designed it first and it worked for me through many games as I practiced. I believe that new players can learn how does Necro work and then switch to the second one. Still, I used them interchangeably and both work fine, I keep getting top scores and I win many more games than I lose.
The second one is damage-oriented though, what do you think is wrong with it? The necklace?
There is a gear guide in my Well Necro vid (right in the beginning) and I have a link to that guide in my Dhuumfire guide.
Thanks for your comment
Hello people! I’ve made a simple guide for the players who are new to the concept of sPvP and would like to improve. I saw many people joining the tournament queye while being absolutely clueless about how to play and what to do. I decided to help them the best way I can – by sharing what I already know.
This is the first of the guides I have planned for sPvP and tPvP. I would love to get some constructive feedback on my work (and maybe a little bit of appreciation too :P)
The GUIDE – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4IBmfaHtbTw
I’d like to present two builds that I’ve made for a necromancer. I played countless hotjoin games and having become confident in what I’m doing I revently played 10 tournament solo queye games with them – with great results (I’m currently 7W 3L and about to get rated, 3W-1L with Well Build and 4W-2L with Dhuumfire Build. I won ~110/150 hotjoins I played on my necro too). In pretty much every of the tournament games I was able to overwhelm my opponents.
Anyway, since I am not claming to be a pro player I would love to get some input and comments concerning both of them.
Well-focused build – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qo6ke5gGabM
Dhuumfire aggressive build – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8ShQ0dwUa8
Cheers!

To begin with, I am maining a thief atm and I don’t really think that I need another zerker character. My guardian is level 80 now and I am considering gearing her up with some solid items now.
I’m running a healer/tank build atm with some weak’ish defensive/healing gear (power/toughness/healing). I have all weapons available to a guard but most of the time I run with mace/shield and a staff. I figured that healing/tankyness is not necessarily a way to go in this game and thus I want to get some offensive power at cost of the defences that I am currently focused on.
That’s my current build:

I would like to improve my damage while retaining at least some of my healing/utility. I am looking for a complete build options along with gear/runes/sigils.
I found the following build on the forums:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/guardian/A-Brief-Guide-to-a-Healing-Power-Hybrid
Is this or any support’ish build viable or should I just stick to dealing tons of damage, use zerker gear and dps stuff till it dies (or maybe just quit guard and go back to my thief)?
Thanks in advance,
Mike
My TP does not load – every time I try to use it nothing appears. The gemstore doesn’t load, gem exchange doesn’t load and neither does the actual trading post. Relogging doesn’t solve the problem.
Strangely enough it’s been an issue for some people only. Some of my guildies have the same issue, some don’t. Is this caused by the fact that I’m playing from Poland or something else?
