Basically you will need to keep track of your buy prices and can then calculate the minimal sell value (for the same item) by using :
<bought item value> * 1.15 = <break even - price>The factor 1.15 representing buying costs and tp fees combined is a constant (until tp costs change)
Any price higher than break even price will net you a profit.
If you are crafting items you will have to factor in how many base items you need for 1 craftted item.
< nr of items needed to craft> * <bought item value> * 1.15 = <break even - price for crafted item>
As for items crafted using different components you’ll have to expand this even further.
Sites like

and
http://www.gw2spidy.com/
can also be used as a base for such calculations
To show you the math :
Buying the mats (3.5s per ore) :
100 * 3.5s = 3g 50s
==> You paid 3g 50s as an investment
Listing fee (5%) on 50 ingots at (7.8 s per ingot) :
0.05 * 50 * 7.8s = 19.5s
==> you paid 19s 50c to list your ingots
Transaction fee (10%) on 50 ingots at (7.8s per ingot) :
0.1 *50 * 7.8 s = 39s
==> 39s are deducted from your earnings by the TP as transaction fee
| These costs may be summed up as TP fees (15%) :
| 0.15 * 50 * 7.8s = 58.5s = 39s + 19.5s
Total ammount of money you would get if ignoring fees :
50 * 7.8s = 3g 90s
Difference between money spent and money gained (including TP fees):
(1 – 0.15) * (50 * 7.8s) – (100 * 3.5s)
or
(50 * 7.8s) – (0.15 * 50 * 7.8s) – (100 * 3.5s) = -18s 50c
Which matches up with your losses
where
<money gained> – <tp fees> – <money spent> = profit
==> If profit = 0 : This is the ammount of money you need to make to break even on your transaction. Anything more is your profit.

What might be happening here is that the op has the launcher set to a different language than the friend who provided his dat file. If this should be the case GW2 will start downloading all of the language files for the language set in the launcher before starting.
You should ask your friend which language he has been using and set your launcher accordingly.
This is technically a map exit / breaking out of the map so I wont be going into detail on how to do this but it is relatively easy to find the way from the right starting point and can be done using leap skills, portal guns or experimental rifles although some jumps might require the rifles.
Since you are at level 12, i’ll assume you have done the first part of your personal story.
The second stage is unlocked once you reach lvl 20 and from there on you’ll unlock story segments in 10 lvl increments.
For now you can just wander the world and do events, visit places etkittenil you reach level 20.
Everything is working as intended. You have encountered the “new player experience” which has somewhat re-organized and partitionned the story into 10lvl segments.
This means that your first act of the personal story will be unlocked when your character reaches level 10. After competing the first act you will encounter another “leveling phase” until you can continue with act 2.
The last slot in your skillbar is an elite skill slot and can only be filled by elite skills.
Your skillbar is always broken up into 5 Weapon skills (slots 1-5), 1 healing skill (slot 6), 3 utility skills (slots 7-9) and finally 1 elite skill (slot 10) .
You can only put skills belonging to their respective category into a slot.
This essentially means that you must always have a healing skill and an elite skill equipped if you want your skillbar to be filled.
A lot of details and images can be seen on the wiki : http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Skill_bar
The following post should explain why you are experiencing this :

Players using different languages have always been there but until recently the “only show x language” option was enabled by default. If you want to return to how it was before, simply activate it again manually.
The people will still remain on the same megaserver as you and you will most likely see less replies since often people who have set their client to another language will still try to reply but you wont see it. But that’s exactly how it was before and judging from your post you didnt seem to mind.
Sounds suspiciously like a broken .dat file. Have you tried running the launcher with the -repair option?
Some info on how to do it can be found here : http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Command_line
Since i’ve had a character at that mission i’ve tried some combinations as well
first 3 : Apparently there are shinies to be had in the Eternal Alchemy, also : All hail Skritt!
next 2 : Apparently someone lost their towel while traveling in the Eternal Alchemy (towel seems happy about it though)
final 3 : Thats what you get for not cleaning the telescope lens before filming cutscenes Mathew! Also : Made in Tyria xD
I’ll also jump in since I still fondly remember your old thread

Also best of luck with your legendaryhope u like it!

Thanks a lot!
If you ever open again I might just come back for a lot more! ^^

There are quite a few places in GW2 that you can get to, but have never been intended for players to get there.
The german forums do have a thread with “unofficial Jumping Puzzles” which consist of locations that are harder to find and jump to then standard jumping puzzles. Most are acessible without consumables but a few require the use of portal guns or experimental rifles. You may also fall to your death through non-solid geometry if you dont pay attention
Here is the link if you want to take a look at them :
https://forum-de.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/suggestions/inoffizielle-Jumping-Puzzles
There are usually screenshots people post of the end-locations to prove they have been there so you should be able to figure out where everything is even if you dont speak german.
In Blazeridge Steppes there are 3 places (if I remember correctly) that have been mentioned. One ist on top of the wall quite close to the location you posted (we took another way up though) The other two are to the west of the map at about the same height or slightly to the north.
Since we dont know what the devs think about us leaving the “intended” map areas to explore and figure our paths out ourselves we have been rather hesitant to post a thread to the english forums, but now that the thread has been started I feel like we should share our discoveries.
Looks great! Thank you so much
I especially love the shading you have done on the eyes and the hair!
The little gems and beads on the armor also look awesome.
-shinies-
That’s very generous of you, many thanks!
Here are a few pictures of my mesmer (Davina Daydream)
Hey there,
Awesome Artwork! You got some great drawing skills
As to your little challenge, i’m going to say that it’s Crusader Apatia since she’s wearing Vigil armor, has about the same hair color and is one of the few female Vigil NPC’s that have a more developed character during the story. The only significant differences I can see are the haircut and some minor armor details, so i’m not 100% sure.
Looking forward to seeing more of your Art!
I do not seem to have that problem even though I am connecting from one of the aforementionned countries.
My best guess is that the site is tracking you and your language settings via cookie.
If you are using Firefox as a browser you might successfully get defaulted to /en if you enable “Tell websites that I do not want to be tracked” in privacy options. You can also try to set the “keep cookies” option to until I close Firefox.
I use both those options and have never been defaulted to anything but the english forums.
Additionally i use a bookmark (https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum) to access the forums directly but I just tried from the main site (after restarting firefox) and still got to /en forums.
