Sorry I was to busy having fun and playing the game to worry about how the armor does or does not work.

This happens to me after I sell a bunch of items in rapid succession, not sure why it does it. I have found that going to a WvW starting area solves it and allows me to sell the remainder of my items.

For anyone interested, it appears that ArenaNet is aware of the issue, per the response I got to my support ticket:

“Hi [name],

Unfortunately, the Guild Wars Support Team does not have a way to manually fix guilds at this time. However, this is a known issue and we are working toward a solution that should affect everyone with this same problem when it is implemented.

You do not need to submit a bug report, sorry for the confusion on that. ArenaNet is already tracking the issue.

Well I finally got a response after 7 days, sadly it was less than useful:

“Hey [Name],

I apologize about the long wait we are trying to get through everyone’s ticket as quickly as possible :-). I’m sorry you are having issues editing your privileges in guild, I wanted to let you know we are working on a way to resolve this as best we can! If you feel you could offer more insight to it (steps to cause issue, what you were doing at the time this happened) you could submit an in-game bug report if you haven’t already done so.

To submit a bug report in game, simply bring up your “Game Menu” located in the upper left hand corner, and then choose the lifesaver icon for “Support.” From the “Support” menu, you can either click “Report a Bug” or just go directly the Ladybug Icon in the support menu to enter your submission. You could also submit a screenshot of the issue as well by pressing Attach Screenshot when submitting the bug. I hope this information helps at least a little :-D.

No update, information, troubleshooting, or anything. Basically just tells me to “submit a bug report!” and be done with it.

Ticket# 120917-000444: Cannot Edit Guild

Started a thread asking about a guild problem I created, where I cannot edit permissions as guild leader, effectively making my guild useless. Cannot promote members, use points accrued, etc.

Got a response that gives me no update to the problem and basically told me “submit a bug report”, which I find less than useful.

I see that some people have created new guilds which appear to be working, and while it is a tempting option, I would hate to loose out on the reputation points, or whatever it is they are called, that my guild has accrued.

Yup same problem here, I am unable to access upgrades, edit ranks, change message of the day, promote people to different ranks. Basically the only thing I can actually do is invite people the guild, and create new ranks that only allow people to create new ranks, its horribly broken.

Problem – unable to edit ranks, unable to queue something even though we have enough influence.

Tried to create a new guild, there I could edit ranks etc. but we put our time and effort in trying to gain influence the past days. Don’t wanna do it all over again.

I am still in the same situation as you, and I posted about this and opened a support ticket 6 days a go, and still no word. (Other than an automated response I received immediately after I opened a support ticket.)

I am not trying to be a whiney baby about this, I am quite sure there is a lot of stuff going on, but at least a little info would be helpful. Is it a known issue with a fix in the works? Is it a complete mystery but its being worked on? That at least I can understand, but radio silence after opening a support ticket is kind of aggravating.

I cannot edit or admin my own guild. I have no permissions and therefore can’t promote/demote, can’t queue research, and can’t change the MOTD. Please fix this. We have around 1600 influence in our tiny 3 person guild that we’d like to spend.

Seems to be a fairly common problem, depending on how representative the issues reported in this thread are. I don’t really understand how some guilds do not experience this problems and others do, but then again I am also not a programmer, so there is probably a lot of stuff I don’t understand!

I’ve just created a guild. By default I got the Leader rank, but I didn’t get any of the permissions that come with it. As a result I can’t kick members, promote, or change the message of the day. When I try and promote a member, no option is given to me when I right click. The only things I can do is create new ranks (with only the edit rank and new member boxes available to tick). Under the Leader rank the only box ticked is Edit Rank. Is there any solution to this problem?

Same problem as quoted text above. I am the guild leader but all of the options for guild leader are greyed out for me, the only thing that I can do is invite people to the guild. I am unable to promote, change the MotD, or anything like that.
