Good reasoning. I play sPvP regularly but know I would never have a shot at the llama through a tournament, mainly because I’m just so busy with everything else in life.
It’s a nice mini and, from a purely personal perspective, I’d like access to it. +1
Same reasoning. Petition signed +1.
I would LOVE this. I’ve been a long-time fan of different kinds of Celtic music and I love all kinds of bagpipes!
Seems if you decided to portray them as a military marching instrument (as with Great Highland bagpipes), it would be very suitable for charr! Humans also have a great military tradition as well.
As for the drones, seems like they could be an on/off switch (as with Uilleann pipes) so you can choose to play without, as you might with a practice set. You shouldn’t be able to change the key of the drone in the same sense that you can’t change the key of the chanter. And I’d probably recommend going with the key of D major for the chanter, as I believe is most common. I don’t recall the keys of the drones.
Anyhow, I would just be SUPER STOKED if this actually came about.
I’m sure this has been said already, but I just wanted to add my voice to this.
Overall the concept of Megaservers is great and for the most part, Megaservers has been a positive experience. I love seeing populated maps.
However when I ran Guild Bounties last weekend with my relatively small guild (we had maybe 12 people playing), getting everyone on the same map under a timer was an unexpected bump and a little stressful. Thankfully we had a solution: confirm everyone on the map could see the guild leader’s commander tag and if not, the commander is available for adding to the party and joining on. Nonetheless, it’s rather inconvenient and I hope this issue receives some attention.
I frequent DR to get business done and chat. So far, it has been very busy and I’m not sure why towns benefit from high populations (more load time, there’s no event in towns that need groups). That said, I’m mostly still seeing familiar faces and I’m happy to make new friends, so I’m not really bothered by this.
So yeah my only /real/ gripe is that Guild Bounties have this extra hurdle to overcome. Otherwise, I’m pretty happy with the update.

Once the midsummer celebrations are over, I’ll see about making some Irish-themed notes with specific time measurements. Not that I’m suggesting that you should use a macro (or that I use one myself; oh no, not me, perfectly macro-free over here!), but if you just so happen to have both an internal chronometer and the reflexes to carry out the instructions on a 0.01 second accuracy, I shalln’t hold you back!
Musical pieces currently being contemplated to include:
- A Jug of Punch
- Scarborough Faire
- Wild Mountain Thyme
- Whiskey in the Jar
- Wild Rover
- Bog Down in the Valley
- Rosin the Beau
As a big Irish Trad fan I would be very very interested in this!
