Rhino, of course we make them trying. For 3 months +, our Vizunians fought others servers very well, under good commanders leading. Sometimes our Vizu bus even wiped big guilds. But like username say, we can’t do it at the moment : you put us in a defensive mode =)

Argadem, Angelyne is not a Grand Cross alliance officer. The officers are only the guild masters and some officers, but not him.

Anyway,the alliance did not last for long and it’s really not a problem but i was just telling your member that if he wants to talk crap about other servers,he should know that his server did the same thing.

I’m tired of zerging being the primary tactical of Meta of GW2, after nearly a thousand hours spent in WvW I’m tired of it. The bigger zerg usually(not always) wins, the lag is horrible, and culling effects are at their worst. But worse, it promotes a stagnant boring type of gameplay that is not conducive to making people enjoy WvW.

So lets break the zerg Meta. Let’s give Anet some easy workable solutions to start to push the Meta away from the zerg. Simple stuff that doesn’t require much coding or new content. Just tweaks of existing mechanics and content.

Here’s is the sort of stuff I would like to see,

-Take away orange swords on the map.
-Take away contested swords on the map.
-Add a true day/night cycle(like really, really dark).
-Add severe weather. Thick fog banks, or blizzards(like in certain Fractals).
-When hit by a catapult, players are instantly downed(not just knocked down).
-When hit by a trebuchet, players are killed instantly(no downed state).
-When hit by a siege weapon while in a downed state, players are instantly killed.
-No 5 target cap for siege weapon damage(Arrowcarts especially).
-No 5 target cap for AoE player spells.

Just these minor changes would radically change the tactical aspects of WvW for the better.

What do you guys think? I’m sure some of you have even better suggestions to help improve the tactical stagnation in WvW.

Am from VS. There is less than 2% Canadians. I have a lot of screenshot of myself playing at 4,5,6 am and just 3/4 players in fortified tower we could resists 15/20 players. We don’t need Canadians for now. Last week when we took back 25k in a night against SFR, i was there and it was a very hard night, but no Canadians. But we also have really amazing leaders. I have a lot of respect for all leaders in VS.

Moreover, the guild we mostly fight (and fear) against this weak : Prx. Where are they from ? Obviously, we can night cap them easily.

I swear we are playing with honor and we are working everyday to have a good organisation. The first things you should do if you wanna improve yourself : teach your PUG. They are useless. Ours aren’t cause we trust them and help them. We love every single of ours players in Vizu. There is no pug in VS. Only Vizunians. That’s why we keep motivation for a long time.

But anyway, GG BT your serv is amazing we had great fight and it was really fun. Hope you will come soon ! I have a lot of respect for everyone who can go in D1 it means your are amazing players (except RUINS).

And also the number one server which you guys obviously still are and also deserve for your very good covering.

i remember few nights/mornings, waking up at 5 am, to try to deff some of our points…. it was against BT with xaoc, being at bp with …. 10 players ( WOOOOWWW !!!) vs that zerg that passed d1, and turned around getting every single siege we got…. they kept turining around ( don’t know why, farming us as we try to rez once they move to another door, just having fun, afraid of our zerg coming by?) 30 mins, with all the /t " need help" 15 players after all….
we got havily night capped by every pushed server that passed by T1, but they give up soon, not cause we outnomber them, but cause they got bored…. PvD is fun for 2?3?4? weeks then? they’ll leave….
u don’t know what are you talking about by " vs night cap" t’ill u come with us, it’s an OP that we need to worke it up, to see who can stay up at night, who will wake up early morning, who will lead… and yes, here we try our best.

No it was a mesmer who then went and ported the majority of the zerg in. If it was a theif i would have just killed him and been on my way. And i wont stop saying VS cheats cause they do, out of all the matches i have played VS use the most bugs/teleport hacks than any other server. Sure you get the odd bad apple but it just seems that they have the majority of people willing to exploit to get an advantage. We were even outnumbered at the time that’s how pathetic it is.

seriously dude, i never said that i’m good, or even near good to the RG level, i keep repating and admiring ur gameplay, and all i can promise you, that me ( and a lot from my freinds out there) are doing our best to hit the level to compete against RG, starting by getting a raid of 25-30 players from one guilde ( which it’s ultra rare on VS), ending by opti our game play togther.
and i don’t have any issue of me capturing points, it’s the system of 3w, must live with it i got this system by myside sometimes, and against me other times.

Hello, yes Same you are right. On Vizunah, with the Grand Cross alliance and the Vizunians, we do everything possible to hold our positions. I think nobody on other servers realize the daily work we put on Vizunah. We have a real soul, what i call the Vizunah Spirit. We NEVER give up, even when the situation is terrible.

This is what we are fighting for.

I do not want to offend anyone, but … Honestly, of all the guilds of VZ, during the dominance of BT we mostly saw only one guild that really never gave up and fought in the most hopeless situations – it’s Hold Up (HuP). We really started to respect the morale of those guys. The rest prefer to sit on the EB, appear closer to primetime or then VZ was in control.

that don’t make us any less happier from our Vizunah Spirit, event if u only found it in one guilde …. sometimes it’s huge, and other times, only few guildes/players keep carrying on…. BUT … it will never turn off !

if u waste ur time while fighting trying to finish 1-2 thives and get wiped by another zerg… think about what u did, and stop repeating it

Gear is the last thing that mattered in wvw, and it only matters if you’re a free roamer that happens to run into one or two people when you’re doing your vistas.

I´m not really sad to dissapoint you, but he´s not trolling, nor is he wrong. 3x lowbies, with ballistas at a lvl 4 camp can indeed wipe out a mindless 15man Zerg .. if a 20man zerg, that with one player agrooes NPCs away .. is against the same setup, but with a 80lvl Bunker – the Zerg will wipe out without a chance of retreat.
If you don´t have experience in WvW tactics, don´t push your ignorant “thoughts” upon other people, nor insult them. Your ignorance is your bliss & fall .. or in other words, “shush kiddo, this is not your place to talk”.

To you “Tamaskil.9841” .. gear, lvl, traits & numbers – do NOT matter in WvW. Tactics actually win wars .. and supplies. And to, what you posted, it´s a suggestion, not a solution. Afterall, if you would have spent at least a week in Structured, then you would know why .. altou it´s not a bad idea, on the contrary, it would prove to be quite an interesting experience, but I think, larger battles for sPvP have already been promised, so you might finally try that out.

1 – if u got killed by 3 man and a baliste on a camp, while u’r with a
zerg of 15-20 man, it mean bigger zerg don’t win, and that what said
by ur friend “bigger zerg win”… So thanks here!
2 – so fo you, wvw tactics are not skills, are not experience of group
playing togther, it’s … tactics… skill is for the individuals, tactics
are for the group… simply lol, we’r getting dictionaries next time,
and will troll each other.
3 – if u had never fight as 15 vs 30-40 and won the fight ( in open
land, with no siege), then u don’t know what you are missing.
4 – wvw is about : tactics, skills, organisation… and that mean a lot
if your raid got a better stuffs than the others… an impact player
that will rush a raid to cc, to open the zone of combos, and that can
survive extra 2-3 secs… only extra 2-3 secs… just cause he got few better
stats, these secs can do a huge difference in fight…
So plz, if ur game play is all abour mindless zerg, siege, I can’t
really help myself but lolling.

I would love to have a button to switch the set of armor as we switch arms….

My message is for the devs; don’t change anything about the portail, it’s one of the tactics in the game… An amazing one…

Sign: a player that got killed many times by a Zerg poped behind him with a portail, and killed many with the same technique !

Sorry, but what ur team DID to WvW ? Except removing orbs?
It would be cool to have a list o all the reports/feedback that the players did, and the REAL actions that you (anet) did…

The players got this feeling of being ignored, not due the fact that a lot of the posts here stay without an official answer… But especially due the absence of real updates/fixes in WvW .

This is pretty much the moment when you realize that a “WvW alliance” mechanic should be introduced. Something that would allow servers to actually work together (friendly targets) for a short time span.

I really hope the Friday reset will bring a powerful Vizunah-Arborstone alliance onto the playfield – I think all three servers will have a lot to gain from this.

Till then, kudos to VS for their unshakable spirit and unmatched dedication.

Just forget it, I really wish that an alliannce between these two servers can work, but must read forums ( jol, gw2fr… ) to see it’s impossible. It didn’t last 24 hrs in the first place to think of remake one.

I got 7500 kills, and I guess I got over 1500 boh.
It’s hard to drop one, a they count on mf stats ( which it’ a pve stat that pvpers don’t build usually ) but it’s not a rare drop also, I guess it’ok.

Ps I did the jp only 5 times. 4 jp to got the accomplish medals and once I did the jp twice to show a freind how o do it.

Ps In WvW u can got ur armur/arm with karma ( u win a lot, I got 800k karma for now), and with the badges that are little more difficult to got.
So stop saying that WvW players did pve to get their stuffs!

they didn’t annonce anything about it yet.
but if we read the facts for now…. the stuffs ( arms/armures) you can get them by doing WvW or Pve, but for ex the jewelry were always an item of crafting ( so you need to pve to get them).
si i guess ( my opinion only, till Anet make some officiel post about it) we will get some better arms/armures in the WvW, but there will always be few items that wee need to pve to get them.

i love the down ssytem, having a build of impact that deal a lot of damage, that rush in the middle of a huge groups, to cast few cc, and then down…. to get up when my DPS start to clean …. it’s an awesome thing to see….
also when u leave someone of ur freind down behind u… he tp the time that you do a turn behind them… they all die trying to finish 1 kill ….

p.s. and killing all the boss in the fort/tours/camps isn’t pve? :p
