People can say what they like, but I wish asura females could wear female armor as they are, or at least asura specific modified versions to fix the clipping issues and other problems, but I think it is entirely possible to pull off sexy without big boobs, in addition to cute or beautiful. Those who think the only thing that makes a woman sexy is TnA have yet to appreciate the finer points of a woman.
@CureForLiveing I totaly understand what you are saying, I see it in other games all the time, people make a build around a few key skills but there is almost always a slight variation between 2 people running the same build and the more options there are the more people will diversify finding a skill works better for them and their style than what another person prefers. But as a final argument on this, check out GW1, especially in pvp, unless people are cutting and pasting builds directly from the wiki (these people usually never get better than mediocre in my experience), you rarely see 2 people running the same exact build, I was always tweaking my ele for the various pvp modes trying to find the best balance of time, damage, and cost. Because energy is no longer an issue in GW2 it will come down to time vs. cost and that will hamper what people will do (great for pve, but not so good for pvp). The lack of options in armor is also atrocious, they force players into cookie cutter roles almost as badly as the skill system. In GW1 I usually left off all the armor upgrades that enhanced the amount of energy I had in favor for defensive upgrade which made all the difference in my ele vs. other ele’s having kept all the dps of a power build, you had the ocaisional monk (GW1’s healing class) that would turn dps assassin and kill you in seconds if you weren’t careful. Lastly, in Gw1 you had to also balance self heals into your build (unless you are foolish enough to leave all healing to the monk thinking it plays like WoW) and balance those into time vs power vs energy.
People might rag on me for complaining that GW2 isn’t GW1, and you misunderstand me, I like the direction GW2 is headed, but the lack of options, choice, and depth is a major turnoff. I also compare it to GW1 because I think it should surpass its predecessor.
All I am saying is that the combat system needs some serious expansion so that we have choice, even if we all end up choosing the same thing its nice to know that we chose it for ourselves instead of having it forced down our throats.
We need flexibility with weapon skills. The thing that kills the game for me the most is the lack of build customization, and dual wielding for options is a joke. More than a lack of content, not being able to even move skills around on the bar, much less choose exactly which skills I use with said weapon kills the game for me. It leaves pvp extremely inferior to GW1, and pve is much less interesting than it could be as a result.
I find myself going back to a different action rpg that has less fluid action, its almost turn based and is a repetitive grind and the biggest thing it has going for it is the ability to fully customize what skills you have on your bar, it even gives you 3 bars to switch between quickly mid combat. I’m not saying we need to copy that, but the static skills per weapon with no options or upgrades is a total fail. I would suggest adding skills to each weapon and letting players learn or buy then move those skills around. Nothing shows a lack of depth more than this horrible setup.
Heavy armor cannot be skinned as light. Since the re-skin items are purely cosmetic, and much appreciated, I have a hard time understanding this limitation. Each race can be each class, and each armor class except the heavy can use any weapon (not any class, but between the 3 mages all weapon types can be equipped same for medium, heavy comes close but no pistols and no dagger) so I can’t see any technical reason to limit transmutation stones.
For myself, I hate all the female medium armor and I don’t care for most of the heavy, but putting that aside, allowing each armor class to be re-skinned as other armor classes would greatly increase the diversity of the outfits players can make, and thus enhance the gameplay experience and add a little more depth.
