Additional Info: We’re a small guild looking to expand a bit. We’ve recently obtained the Gilded Hollow guild hall and are currently focusing our resources on it. Once we have enough people, we’ll possibly move into doing raids on occasion, otherwise we’ll be doing other PvE content; such as collecting HP and MP, world bosses, meta events, Fractals, etc. We may also get a voice chat going at some point once we start raids. I’m currently working on scribe, so we can get some furniture going, but anyone else further along than I am will be welcomed to help as well. Once there’s enough people, we’ll host different events with prizes, like who can defeat a champ one-v-one the fastest, Arena battles, racing, costumes fights and so on. That’s the point I’m making, the website leaves no direct way to contact them and they’ve been ignoring me for over a week now. And I know I’m being ignored because I’ve been telling them to remove my stuff in the past and they’ve done so, but they’re still stealing my work. And it’s not like they’re just doing it to me, they’re doing it to others as well. I don’t know if ANet can do anything, all I’m asking is that they at least look into the matter.

I have no idea where to post this, but I’m hoping a dev will see it and help me out, if it’s even possible. This website, guildwarsgame.com, has been plagiarizing articles from the GW fan site I was a part of; a few of the articles have even been mine. When I caught them the first time, they removed my article, but never sent an apology email as I requested. Now, they’ve continued to steal from our site and are no longer removing it when requested. Plus, they’re stealing from other content creators as well! Not to mention, all of their social media buttons lead to the official Guild Wars pages, instead of any of theirs. They also lack a proper way to contact them, leaving no direct way to email them, only a simple comment box they can simply ignore.

I want to shut them down, as they’re clearly breaking the law. Sadly, I have no idea how to do this. Please, can someone at ArenaNet look into this and at the very least tell me that what this person is doing is wrong? I’ve tried for weeks now to stop whoever is running this, but I don’t have the time, resources or knowledge to do so. Can anyone help me?

the dialogue box gets tucked into the lower-left corner of your screen — I know it’s there, but if I swap characters mid-fractal, I always think it’s bugged first until I remember to look.

I know it does that, but it still shows my specific fractal information and for me to create a fractal, not join those already in it.

Every time I try to join a group already in Fractals, I do not get the option to join them, rather it shows my max scale and for me to create a fractal. Even when I head inside I cannot join. I’ve also tried leave LA, porting back in and I’ve even completely logged out and it won’t let me. It’s extremely frustrating, as I just want to simple be in a party and get in, but something is happening to not let me do so.

I’m sure I’ll be the only one arguing this, but doesn’t it seem unfair to the other professions that can’t weapon swap; ie: engineers and elementalists? Engineers are forced to use kits if they want to swap weapons, which takes away from other useful utilities. And sure, one can rule eles out because they can swap between four attunements, but they’re stuck with one play style at a time, either close or ranged basically. Now, revs will have two weapon sets AND two utility bar sets; does that sound balanced at all? I understand that specific weapons have been tailored for specific Legends, but that’s not an excuse to just add weapon swapping and calling the issue resolved. Of course, this is just me and I appear to be in the minority, so what do I know.

Didn’t mean to start a fire storm, all I did was point out some observations of mine. Almost every time I’ve been on EBay home is mostly controlled by CD, while the other server is usually left alone. I thought it might be a grudge thing, that’s why I asked to begin with. I guess it’s just a thing where they focus different servers at different times, doesn’t bother me, it’s a legitimate strategy.

I’m on Ehmry Bay and I’ve noticed that every time we get matched up with Crystal Desert, they seem to focus us. I’m sure they have a more oriented WvW player base than EBay, but the third server is almost always left alone, leaving us in last nearly every week we’re matched up. This is just blind speculation, but it’s a recurring theme. It’s just a curiosity to me, I haven’t heard about grudges between the servers or anything of the sort. Again, I’m just asking, no hard feeling towards CD, I’d just like to know if there’s a reason to it.

That’s what we’re going to try, but we were hoping someone in the community might have an answer. After looking around I found dozen of other people having similar issues. Thank you for the response.

My friend recently purchased GW2, but can’t get past the log-in after inputting their email and password. In addition the loading bar along the bottom and ‘Ready’ button don’t appear. Their account is active and they got the download from the website, but it’s not working for some reason. They let me try to log-in from my computer, (they’ve since changed the password) and I can get in from my computer just fine. Their computer meets all the minimum system requirements, so we have no idea what the problem is. Does anyone know what the problem is and/or a solution?

The Asura News Network [ANN] is a PvE/casual guild that dabbles in RPing. The guild’s home of origin is Ehmry Bay, but we don’t care what server you’re on (as long as it’s NA). We have just started recruitment of krewe members of all races to join us in creating a small group of players wanting fun and entertainment. There will be dungeon runs, doing living world content together, guild hosted events with prizes and so much more.

Members
We are looking for both new and veteran players to join us, whom are interested in PvE/casual content and/or want to RP. New players will be able to gain experience and learn the game, while the vets can do whatever they wish and even lead guild events if they so choose.
At the moment of this post, there are very few of us, about five members in total. But we want to gradually build up a following of somewhere between 50 to a 100 members. By keeping this number low, we accomplish two things. First, it will be able to organize people and keep everything fun and friendly. Second, we will be able to have a voting system, in which guild members decide on the types of content and events we should do. Because all members should have a voice.

PvE and Casual
For PvE content, we will do things ranging from helping other members with map completion, dungeon runs, living story, other such things. Working as a team is the best way to get things done in an MMO, which is what we set out to do. We’ll be able to teach players how to efficiently complete dungeons, so every run after will be faster. With the new living story, there will be new places to explore and what better way to do that than with friends.

RPing
While not a requirement for all members, we endorse the right to do so. The guild was founded on the principal of starting an RP news source of in-game content, then the ANN was born. Currently, ANN reports are only on tumblr, but we hope to expand in the future. It was to originally be a podcast, but was setback when people dropped out, so if any members decide they would like to be a part of a bi-weekly/monthly podcast I’d be more than happy to try again.

Guild Events
We it likely be a while before unlocking guild missions, so we have a better idea! There will be all sort of different events, like jumping off Rata Sum and seeing who lives, who can 1v1 a champ, etc. Different types of events will be voted on by the members to determine if it was good and should be done again or was a bad idea to begin with; voting will also mean any ideas you have as a member can become an event. The prizes of these events can be gold, weapons/armor, crafting materials and possibly gem store items in the future.

Communication
There is a Raidcall chat room already set up under Asura News Network. I might move over too Teamspeak, but Raidcall is simple and easy to understand.

Nevermind, forget everything I said prior, I found the vendor. I tend to jump to conclusions often, which usually gets me nowhere. But still, ANet should have made it obvios for players, so people like me won’t go and annoy people on the forums.

I assume you are refering to the Black Lion Weapons Specialist, I’ve spoken to one and there is no option about town clothes. I am also unsure what you mean by claim/convert, is there another vender where I can claim the items I had before? If not, then I am at a loss, as none of the clothes I had can be found in my bank or on any of my characters.

I’m not sure if this is affecting anyone else, but absolutely none of the town clothes that were on my characters are in the wardrobe. I have spent over $100 on gems since the launch of this game, because I want to help support the game, but now ALL those things I’ve spent money on is suddenly missing. I am missing the Winter’s Day and Pirate outfits, along with Reading Glasses, a vertically striped vest (don’t remember the name), the Riding Pants and the Riding Boots. That fact this has happened is ridiculous and I do not know if it is a bug or was intended to happen. Either way, unless the problem is resolved, I will not purchase a single gem.

All I can say about this is that I’m frustrated about the whole situation. It’s like ANet never checked to see what it would look like on asuras. I just got a halo for my asura today, while my friend, a charr, got theirs as well. Their halo is much larger and high/directly above their head, even though it’s translucent, it’s still easy enough to see. While mine is tiny, very low and near my forehead. It’s just not fair that I spent this much time looking for heirlooms for something no one can see, when I could have been saving citizens and earning a ton of bags and gold.

When not at work, we enter the Mists and report our foes to death in WvW. Other times we just run about the normal word, collecting information, doing events and slaying enemies of all types. Our guild is small, very small actually and require assistance. But at work we report the news over the asuranet, doing our best to keep up with the rapidly changing times. Not to mention that we are a friendly bunch, specifically the norn that destroyed most of my equipment wresting a bear.

My colleague and I were having a discussion earlier this evening, about various topics, when I stumbled upon the thought of guild airships. I know all you bookahs want guild halls, but here me out. Would it not be more efficient for guilds to have giant, customizable airships to hold for meetings, events and/or even fast travel to other zones? I hope those of you that can read concur with my assessment that an airship base would be far more superior than a lame old fortress, stuck on the ground.

Greeting to anyone that may come across this post, you may call me Mel. Myself, along with a few friends are planning to start a monthly web series based on the fictional lore and events of the game. The videos entail a news crew, comprised of the main 5 races, talking about various aspects. The topics will range from lore, events, mini-games, WvW and anything else we can think of.

But there is an issue, there is of the time posting this only three of us. So, we are looking for anyone willing to provide assistance in our cause. We require voice actors, illustrators, animators, musicians, and others. Everything that we are looking for will be listed below. But first, I need to say that no one will be paid, as we done plan to earn any money; instead those that help will be displayed in the credits at the end of each episode.

Voice Actors:
p. Currently, roles are needed for the male human co-anchor and the female charr correspondent. I’m sure you all know what they sound like, so if you’re willing, try applying for the role. There is also the need for extras, but they will be looked for as they are needed. These parts require being able to clearly read a script and to present ideas to enhance the script.

Illustrators:
p. The three of us currently working on this endeavor already have the skill to use both Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, but we still need to ease the work load. Those that can easily use either program and/or great at creating visual content will be a big help to us. This duty would require designing simple backgrounds, intro/outro designs and helping develop character concepts.

Animators:
p. Originally, the idea was to make this an animated series, but those are high hopes. Still, we plan to have a scrolling news bar along the bottom. The text for this will be in New Krytan, (the main language/writing of Tyria). All we need is someone that can easily use Flash to allow text to move along the bottom of the screen and to animate the simple news logo.

Musicians:
p. Minstrels are needed to compose intro, outro and background music. The sounds needed will help give a sense of emotion for what is being voiced and give depth to the show. I personally don’t know how music works over the internet machine, so I’m sure those that apply will have the upper hand.

Other:
p. Not sure if there will eventually be a website, but if you’re good at making them we’ll look into it.

Plusses:
*Have/Use Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, etc.
*Decent at animation.
*Have a good amount of spare time.
*Have/Use Skype, Raidcall and/or Mumble.
*MUST be at least 16+ years of age.
*Can show previous work done.
*On the Ehmry Bay server or willing to guest.

If you are using Windows 7, click the volume icon in the taskbar/tray and choose mixer. It has volume slider for each application open.

I’ve had a recent issue where I’m getting no audio from the game with or without a headset plugged in. I happened directly after last weeks server update, but thought nothing of it at the time. It’s been a while now and I still can’t solve the problem, I don’t want to continue any story missions because of it. I’ve been looking aroung the forums and people saying it could be because of Mumble being used along with the game, but it still doesn’t work with Mumble off. I hope that someone might know what’s wrong and thanks to anyone who can help me.
