Suggestion for a Save Feature : Passwords
in Super Adventure Box: Back to School

What stops you from just sending the password to your friends so they can freeride through the stage? You can’t character-bind the passwords or else you’ll need a needlessly large database to store every character of every account’s SAB standing, if the engine even allows it to be possible.
I guess you could say Tribulation mode...

…has a lot of difficulty spikes.
ba-dum tssssss

I’m sorry. Will you forgive me? Add your own sab jokes/puns, whatever. Just… I’M SO SORRY DON’T SHOOT ME!
Changing it slightly sounds nice, but every time you change it the previous password is added to your blocks so over time if they continue forcing password changes it will become a huge pain. For me its an issue with freedom. I don’t want to support companies that force these types of things on me. I have never been hacked or protected by one of these systems in the 12 years I’ve been playing online games so I would say I know what I am doing. I guess I will not be playing this game anymore.
Let me get this straight:
You’re going to quit a game you love…
Because you are being ‘forced’ to change your password…
Which will literally take two seconds.
This isn’t an issue of freedom or anything, the entitled consumer argument only goes so far. I know that you’re probably just being a drama-queen but seriously, nobody would stop doing something they enjoy because (HEAVENS FORBID!) they must protect their account.
I hate Mesmers.
I hate them.
I waste all of my mobility skills and knockdowns only to discover that it was a clone, and then I have to slowly lumber after the Mesmer swinging my sword/hammer hopelessly as they deliver 2k facecrits.
It hurts, man.
This topic is highly generalizing, I’m a warrior and I do tend to run in these 4W+M ‘speedrun’ groups and almost always they’re all pretty fun guys and we have some great conversation as we blow through the dungeon in <7 minute runs.
There will always be elitist people, but most of us are just trying to get our legendaries, ascended gear or unique exotics as fast as possible. I mean, we could either run with a regular group and get 4-5 gold an hour or run with a speedrun group and get 7-10 gold an hour. Which would YOU chose?
Balance-wise, it’s more of a problem with the dungeon than anything. Nothing in CoF poses ANY sort of threat, so nothing stops you from just DPSing the hell out of the content. I can guarantee you that such a strategy goes NOT work against bosses like Dredge, Lupi or even that knockback slime king from Arah. Anet has said that they want to revamp most boss fights, let’s see how that turns out. It’s entirely possible that Warrior groups won’t be so optimal anymore when you can’t facegib with Axe/GS.
we faught him the other day, he seems nerfed. We used to fight him and he would give us a work out, now he’s just kind of a wimp. I was actually sad to see how easy he’d gotten, and this was 3 days ago, and this is not sarcasm.
No, Lupi has not been nerfed; you guys have just gotten better. Gear and skill make Lupicus seem like an entirely different fight; when I was grinding for my Arah set three weeks ago the outcome of the battle depended heavily on my team.
If we were all skilled (newbies or none) and had only one or two HIGHLY skilled glass cannons, Lupicus went down extremely quickly and nobody even came close to being downed.
On the other hand, if my team sucked or we had too many glass cannons that weren’t good enough to warrant the gear he would wipe the entire party within the first two minutes. There are just so many subtle things to know when you fight Lupi, like saving some sort of dodge for his AoE (because those circles lie) and not bumrushing downed people to try to rez which usually results in you both dying. Lupi can either be an entertaining diversion or a wall of immense power.
Basically, to whiners, if you can’t beat Lupi regear or L2P. Seriously, beyond your first two kills you will never have trouble with him again. Best-balanced fight in GW2, easy. Unless CoF path 1 is your idea of a good challenge.
Open on Crystal Desert as of 6:48 pm EST.
To those who are unaware, the BossBattle playlist never randomizes, even if the first song is a blank mp3. This is… annoying, to say the least. I have an amazing playlist set up but it’s useless because the first track just repeats over and over again. Custom launch scripts don’t even work because if I do a fractal run I’ll still hear the same music 4 times before I get a chance to restart my game.
Seriously ANET, it’s such a simple change to remedy half the problems with your custom soundtrack system. =/
Who cares if it isn’t a damage dealing weapon, ANET’s line of logic will probably nerf all of its stuns despite the fact that they’re already meh on boss mobs. I look forward to running pure greatsword!
9/10. Although not in an Asura-like fashion, he certainly does portray what’s common to every Asura: Smugness and not giving a kitten about it. I love how it looks like sunglasses, and the shoulders are hilariously broad.
My screenie in a nuthshell: VICTORYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m running a nice Knights 0/0/30/30/10 GS/Hammer build, and I’m finding it simple enough. However, I’m continuously debating in my head whether I should fill my third utility slot with either Endure Pain or On My Mark: On one hand, On My Mark is very useful as a third shout (increasing my shout-rotation’s healing by 50%) and with my Soldiers runes also removes another condition; but endure pain is such an amazing ability against anything that can burst you down such as Lupicus’ bubble, bad positionning in dredge fractal and knockdown situations.
I’m currently running the trait that also activates an endure pain at 25% life.
Any idea which I should take over the other? Is there any definite set of pros/cons or is it just preference?
It’s weird, because it sounds like a male name but has the format of a female name. A bit too human (LoTR-esque) for my tastes but I could dig an adventure-Asura with that sort of name.
Mine is a warrior named Leapp. Rather fitting I’d say with what hundred blades and half the hammer skills make him do. :P
If i were Anet and they didn’t have my permission, i’d sue their pants off them for that..
Except it’s not illegal, that’s the problem. If this was illegal we could sue furniture makers because their chairs ‘kind of’ look like some other chair made by some other company. Jeans? Totally knockoffs, they look almost the same no matter what company it is!
It just doesn’t work like that. It made me lul to see I’ll agree, but’s it’s just microsoft being microsoft.
Since my heavy Arah set (which looks mofo on Asura) is going to be complete in about two days, I’m juggling around ideas of what to dye the set. I have a few ideas that I want to throw up here to help me decide.
(Sorry for the picture quality, didn’t realize until long after I got off that the difficult screencapture nukes the clarity. Those .jpgs. :P)
Option 1: Because who doesn’t like gold?
Option 2: I love this one, it’s a nice disease-green that really goes well with the set.
Option 3: Frost was my going theme here, in love with it too. (And uses nothing but iron and default dyes!)
Option 4: Meh, not really my favorite but I’m gonna show it anyways.
Which is your favorite, guys?

’nuff said.
There is a new class being unveiled , thats confirmed on gwguru
That was a troll post linking to an ANET post from 2010.
So yeah.
Oh the ignorance in this post… 9 out of 10 of your pseudo arguments are false.
I have this horribly nagging suspicious that you only read the first paragraph before posting, or else you would have something more meaningful to say.
Hope that comment made you feel better about your life, lol.
yea better at the beach surfing some while getting tanned skin meeting nice girls than 1350 hours at my desk with a mouse and keyboard on it or drinking tons of Ice tea and meeting the Pizza boy every day because i have nothing else in mind but playing a computer game ….
i already felt good dude ……. very good even !
Ignore this guy, he’s just being jelly
Gratz on the Juggernaut, OP! Pics with the weapon drawn? :O
Got an Endless Golem Tonic after 9 tries, and daaaaaayyuuum it’s cute. I’m just floating around LA right now asking “Bzzzzt. What is love?”
9/10, because nothing’s perfect but it sounds elegant you put way more effort into it than most. :P
I have a female ranger called Nirra Aernis. The first name is something I thought up which sounds fitting to a fantasy-esque person and the last name is a condensed/corrupted version of the username of a frequenter of an RP forum I used to visit.
[Group Event] Defeat all reinforcements called in by the ancient karka.
Server: kitten!
You’re automatically kicked for inactivity, so you can do this only for a limited amount of time.
Plus, it’s not like you can collect drops or anything while afk. EXP is already bad and would become like 2 per kill after half an hour or so.
Just named my Lashtail Devourer ‘Moon RisingIn Virgo’, shame there was one character too few to have correct spacing. D:
Throughout the betas in the top right there was a black silouhouette along with text saying ‘Select Character.’ Naturally I assumed it wasn’t going to be truly implemented until release so it would work with permanent characters, but it seems to have been scrapped.
I think that was a bad move, some sort of avatar really helps towards identifying posters and making it seem more… personal.
All my names:
Brown Bear: Bearie Blast
Eagle: Stolen Goods Hawker
Red Moa: El Moachacho
Blue Jellyfish: Rare Blue Jellyfish (+10 interwebz if you get the reference)
Armored Fish: Bonehead (Get it? :p)
White Raven: Archimedes
Props to anyone who gets them.
ARCHIMEDES, NO!
Heh, birdz!

Still counting the days until my eagle actually uses it’s F2 skill, it hasn’t happened once yet.
To quote myself:
Although the sets are intended to be soulbound skins and that is perfectly fine (regular exotics will always be easier) I would kill for tokens to be account bound. If we’re forced to do tons of runs for a dungeon set, can we please be able to spice it up a bit with multiple characters? Not only does it make the sets less grindy, but it also increases the endgame longetivity by expanding the amount of content a character can do.
For example, if I don’t want the Svanir set on my elementalist, I have no reason to run that dungeon. Bam, endgame content is minimized. Once one has obtained his dream set that character is essentially done in terms of progression.
I feel if you could use one character in tandem to help another character get armor, it would help. A lot.
