We have a hard time playing WvW with the fact that our team’s AOE rings are red, just like the enemy’s. Please help, this is a major issue.

I still say that you should just ADD the alpine BLs (to the desert BLs and EB), call them the Hosted server BL. Will take pressure off of EB and DBLs. Will allow more people to roam, and play their way.

Hi guys! I’m Sylva, co-leader of Phoenix Rises [Phnx] an active PvX/WvW guild on CD (or Desert Storm, as SBI-CD has taken to calling it).

Report: The queues… Well, they were just as bad as expected. CD queued two maps all by ourselves for the two hours before reset on Friday. When paired with SBI, we had huuuuuge map queues. It wouldn’t have been a problem so much, except for the game crashing hard after half an hour in EB… Forcing me to re-queue and wait. (Just hopped in a short(er) queue for a BL and waited it out. Pretty sure we had EB queued around the clock from Reset Friday until Sunday night.

Sadly, we were only able to get a scant handful of guildies into a map at a time, which was not as fun as it could have been. None of our casuals were interested in waiting on the queues (we are a hard-core casual crowd).

Other than that, we actually had a lot of fun, and Desert-Storm relations were/are excellent.

Suggestion 1:
When the alpine borderlands are available, ADD them as the hosted server’s BL, instead of replacing the desert BLs. This would allow more people into the maps to play, and take some of the stress off of the other map queues.

Suggestion 2:
Make sure people’s originating server is still identified (when being viewed by an enemy). Everyone shows up as the host server, and it makes some people salty. This would help address the Server Pride issue.

Suggestion 3:
Announce the pairings 1 hour in advance of reset (when you do the quarterly change) so that we can contact our paired server for reset strategy. Not being able to do so in advance is ridiculous. You don’t have to say whom we are up against, but PLEEEEEEEEASE allow us to strategize.

Actually, the error code just changed to “the game client has lost connection to the server”

I was logged in as a commander. I can get as far as selecting a character, but then upon attempt to load into an area, I get the same network error, which crashes the game to the log in screen.

Phoenix Rises From the Ashes [Phnx] is an active guild on the Borlis Pass (NA) server. We do PvX, WvW and GvGs. We run the gamut of early Eastern time to late Pacific Time, and would love more company!

We are a bit wild, like to drink, and in general have fun. We like helping people. If you only do PvE, you can be on any server. There are no representation requirements until you become a senior member or higher (then it is 50%). Regardless of your server, we would prefer for you to have TeamSpeak. We roam and do drunken zerging in WvW on a fairly regular basis, and are getting into GvGs. We also like dungeons, fractals, and jumping puzzles. We can take having fun very seriously.

We can be a little rude, a little crude, and in general, rather mischievous. Drop in and say hello! Feel free to message me in game or on the website for more information.

Many evenings, we have 12-20 people repping, with 10-15 in Teamspeak. We would love to get this number higher.

Time Schedules:
Primarily NA Prime, but we vary from Eastern to Pacific, with a few OCX — we would love to have more late night people!

Focus:
Semi-Casual, Social, 18+ (21+ preferred), WvW, GvG, PvX, TS3 Preferred

Fractals (1-50) – we have groups that do fracs daily.
Newbie-coaching – if you are new and want help learning, we are your people!
Dungeons Runs – incl. Aetherblade and Arah
World Bosses and Silverwastes – ‘nuff said
PvP – We have our own private PvP arena
WvW – Roaming, drunken zerging, and Friday night reset
Guild Missions (fully upgraded) are on Saturday evenings
Raids – We are already getting organized for when raids come out
Guild Hall – We are planning on doing the guild hall unlocks as soon as they are available

We do need more people that are interested in GvGs. We do not have your typical hammer train – we fall more under the title of ‘Irregulars’, with a heavy emphasis on skirmishing and havoc groups. You are likely to find people to roam with on a regular basis with us.

Many of our members play other games as well: League of Legends, StarCraft 2, Borderlands 2, Diablo 3, Serious Sam, Terraria, etc.

We are currently doing Officer and Recruiter nominations so now is the time to join us! We are also hosting newbie orientation events for things like: Story and Explorable mode for dungeons, low level fractals (we are doing 50’s as well!), PvP and WvW introductions.

As an added note, we have a few people who do level 49-50 fractals, regular dungeon runs, world bosses, and PvP, in addition to WvW.

We typically run havoc or roaming groups, though we will tag up when we have the inclination.

You can fix the guild chat error by going invisible, and then making yourself visible again. I’m still having problems with guild upgrades, too. I’ve checked with other guild leaders on my server, we’re all having the same problem.

Devona’s Rest has a friendly community feeling, and you will find people from different guilds in each other’s TeamSpeak channels on a frequent basis. We are all friends here – we work together to build a stronger community, low on bull and encouraging to new members (either to the server or to the game).

If you are considering changing servers, I would encourage you to think about DR. We are rebuilding for the long haul, not just for the season. We are here because here is where we want to stay.

Actually, it does make you restart the content if you take too long. Which, apparently, I did. I’m honestly really frustrated with the puzzle, because it worked perfectly for a while, then it started happening once in a while, then it started happening with every fall. I submitted another bug report.

The part that’s truly frustrating is the fact that something buggy is a requirement for the Aether Pirates achievements.
